That’s fantastic.  I’m at a point in my life where I could, physically speaking, go ahead and just pound that dude into the ground.  But morally I’m like anti-harassment anti-bullying.  So making him eat shit like that is cool.

I guess I didn't realize the cameras Tesla uses are what was state of the art in cell phones 10 years ago. The robotaxi roll out in Austin should be amazing.

If its five or more children with five or more different mothers, does that count? Im sure his opinion of that would be different, depending upon the skin color of the father.

Another reason to not elect a moron.  They are too arrogant to believe they don't understand risk especially when it comes to technology.

Yeah, I don't think Musk's legal team is ready to deal with Texas ambulance chasers.  They are a whole another breed. Tesla is a scalp they would all love to collect.

President Donald Trump on Saturday said there would be “serious consequences” if tech mogul Elon Musk funds Democratic candidates to run against Republicans who vote in favor of the GOP’s sweeping budget bill.

“If he does, he’ll have to pay the consequences for that,” Trump told NBC News in a phone interview, but declined to share what those consequences would be.

“He’ll have to pay very serious consequences if he does that,” he added.

Wait... I am over 50 and have no children. Does that get me membership in the Surly Gay Mafia?!? I'm happy to represent and I've definitely slept with some female 1s so I think that makes me double qualified by Tate principals of homosexuality.

So anybody in the know or understand why the City of Austin so readily agreed to the Tesla robotaxi even though everybody has a lot of questions about it? I've read up on it, but it just seemed way too easy.

I can see it being a case of them approving it, because if they don't, the state will step in, but still.  Maybe they believed that it would take years before actually happening.

I actually think he's probably hyper-focused on this right now, because if this fucks up, just a week ahead of the National Transportation Safety Board's June 19th deadline for Tesla, Trump will go hard at it and make sure everybody knows, the stock market will not like it, and the permits will be revoked (and not even the state would step in)

I wonder how much engineering effort is wasted on his whims that go nowhere.

Another example is the extended range battery pack for the ct. As you probably recall it was promised and pre-sold when the ct rolled out, and would have taken up a a large portion of the truck bed. But they quietly ditched that idea about a month ago and supposedly began the process of refunds.

Quote

"When Tesla unveiled the production version of the Cybertruck in late 2023, there were two main disappointments: the price and the range. The tri-motor version, which was the most popular in reservation tallies, was supposed to have over 500 miles of range and start at $70,000. Tesla now sells the tri-motor Cybertruck for $100,000 and only has a range of 320 miles.

As for the dual-motor Cybertruck, it was supposed to cost $50,000 and have over 300 miles of range. The reality is that it starts at $80,000, and it has 325 miles of range.

However, Tesla had devised a solution to bring the range closer to what it originally announced: a separate battery pack that sits in the truck’s bed. Tesla called it a “range extender.” It costs $16,000 and takes up a third of the Cybertruck’s bed.

Even though the Cybertruck has been in production for a year and a half at this point, the range extender has yet to launch.

Initially, Tesla said that it would come “early 2025” https://electrek.co/2025/04/05/tesla-removes-range-extender-battery-option-cybertruck/

I still chuckle over his genius idea to dig a "tunnel" underneath some middle eastern bay so a train would make it easier to get from one part of town to another.

Oh, you mean a subway?
