so the 6 are men's BB, Women's Golf, Soccer, Men's outdoor TF, Women's  beach volleyball, Men's Cross Country?

Of those 6, I feel pretty good about Women's Golf and beach volleyball eventually winning a title under their new coaches.  Men's outdoor track and field has been close and Texas recently won an indoor title, so I would not be surprised if we won one relatively soon.

Men's basketball is likely always going to be a bit of a long-shot, soccer is obviously hampered by the coach, and we do not seem to care about cross-country at all, so I am not sure that one will ever happen.

I think high altitude schools win xc from training advantage

I know they felt they had to even things out somehow, but there is no way that Mihyia Davis is better than Kayden when you consider fielding, hitting and base running.  The only thing she might can measure equal to is the competitive fire in her belly.  That she had in abundance, but I doubt anymore that KH did.

aggy claiming it doesn't count because it was against a Big 12 team, yet?

They hang a banner for beating the champs in the SEC semifinals yet?

Just a reminder that TK is only a sophomore. She will be back for two more years.

Leighann, Reese, KB, Ashton, Stewart and Henry are either juniors or sophomores.  So, the team is stacked for another run.

And football should be in the playoff this year absent a large choke job.

They have to get through ASU who has a better coach, QB, and WR1. Doubt the Big XII gets two slots.

Mia and joley will be huge losses. Gonna need some portal help.

Vivi is almost a free replacement for one of them. Will need to go to the portal to address DP and a corner infielder. Assuming Stewie moves to first or third. A freshman or KB can move to LF. I’ve touched on our incoming class being really good, including both a Mia starter kit and a Bella Dayton starter kit

Also don’t want to not mention Cam Salmon. She’s gonna be a good #2 behind TK next year

2000 Oklahoma remains the last team to win the title in their first WCWS appearance

2000 Oklahoma was, I believe, the last team before 2025 Texas to win the title, despite not winning their conference regular season or conference tournament

The lowest seeded team before 6-seed Texas to win the title was 10-seed OU in 2017

Also suck it to all the SEC schools who failed to bring a title back to the conference in the past decade. Texas had to do it for you (and not OU!)

I find the scores to be a little eh on a shirt. I went with the cream colored one

Agreed. Scores belong on glasses (not cups) like the 1960s football titles.

She's the embodiment of "all gas, no brakes." Total demon on the basepaths. I've lamented her lack of bunting at times, as it takes nearly perfect defense to keep her off base...but hopefully we'll see more of that next year. An underrated weapon on a team full of firepower.

She had 1 hit in the first 3 WCWS games. In the finals though, she had 7 hits, a walk, 2 RBI and a stolen base

Henry: 3 hits, 1 RBI in the first 3 games and 5 hits in the finals

Softball - No non-#1 regional seed has won the whole thing

Baseball - A couple of regional #4s have won the whole enchilada

Crazy how different the two sports are.

It’s like WBB, the lowest seeded team to win is a 3 (UNC, Tenn, LSU). In MBB, it was an 8 (Villanova)

Women’s sports are so top heavy. An unseeded team didn’t even make the softball finals until 2022 (Texas)

maybe Stewie at 3rd, but that's still a huge drop off from mia defensively IMO. Or Maybe 1B. Def need a great big fat woman from the portal that can mash and see spin (easier said that done). Bonus if she can play 1st.  Pitching should get much needed depth with Wells.  Crabtree is an IF, but could probably easily play LF, along with Sneed.

I think portal priority is a masher for DP/1B.  Agree?

I do like to remind everyone (myself included) that Mia was not that good at 3rd her first couple years, she was playing the OF quite a bit. Mia’s development is a testament to what Stewie could eventually be.  She got the arm for sure.

My portal priorities:

Lefty pitcher

1B/DP

Potentially another OF

Lost in the shuffle and bed wetting yesterday was Berzon from LSU chose Oklahoma.

Gasso gets her rent-an-ace

Mike and co developed the shit out this title team. Reese, TK, Mia, Henry, Stewie, Goode, Maloney, Cam. Only Joley (ND), Mac (ASU) and KB (ACU) were the transfers who helped us win a title.

Yes, I remember a time when she was a defensive liability and we cringed when she was at 3rd.  Her development at 3rd has been amazing.  I would argue she's one of the top 3Bin the country, and easily our best defender. She always had the mobility and athleticism to play 3rd.  Her glove work improved tremendously.

Yep. Big props to her worker ethic and the coaching staff’s development of her
