Great. The poor stupid people voted themselves into a education death spiral. They will celebrate this until they can’t afford the maintenance on their dope ass football stadium.

Looking forward to the day when these kids enter the workforce and can’t do the math to correctly estimate projects.

Wrong.  The LAST thing that will happen is decay of precious football stadiums.  See, this plan has two steps (I'm not making this up, this is exactly what Republican states are asking for): 1) stop federal funds (which actually have to be used for certain purposes, like....educating students, including those with disabilities and such), and then 2) divert those funds to unrestricted "block grants" to states to use however they want.

So, the $500 million that USED to go to your state for special education, and the most underfunded schools?  Well, now that $500 million is going to be used to build the most incredible football stadiums -- in white, suburban districts only -- that mankind has ever seen.

As a practical matter, they just voided Brown v. Board of Education  AND Plessey v. Ferguson.  Our new national motto is "Separate and AWESOME - Whiteville High has a Godzillatron bigger than any university now!"

Evangelical playbook. If something bad happens to you; accident, illness, rape, murder, etc. it's your fault because you aren't "Christian" enough.

Fucking shit head cunts that they are.

And yet somehow when they cheat on their spouses, diddle little kids, embezzle church funds, etc... all they gotta do is ask their sky daddy for forgiveness. All good!

Good luck Don. You gave it to him, he will say it’s his to give back not yours to take back and he will be supported in that position.

See, Don....that's kinda the thing that those of us who aren't abject mouth-breathing idiots (so...we're not Republicans) fucking warned about with flashing red lights and the whole 9 yards: once an authoritarian has a power, he never, ever, ever surrenders it.  Except by force.  That's it.  You've opted out of the rule of law, and now expect to use the rule of law to claw back power?  That's not how it fucking works, you fucking cowardly cock gobblers.

Also, on April 24 all parolees’ right to be employed in United States is revoked, and it is illegal for any employer to hire those people.

When an administrative agency seeks to make a rule through informal rulemaking, § 553(b) requires that the agency publish a general notice of the proposed rulemaking. § 553(c) requires that agency to give interested persons the opportunity to submit written comments and that the agency consider such comments. Individuals can submit comments on proposed rules electronically at Regulations.gov . The agency must give individuals a period of at least 30 days to comment on the proposed rule. Before publishing the final rule, the agency must issue a “concise general statement of their basis and purpose.” Lastly, § 553(d) provides that the final rules are published in the Federal Register .

In which UAW workers for Ford, GM, Stellantis learn they aren’t the employed by American companies.

I'm looking forward to the semantic gymnastics required to claim GM and Ford aren't American companies.

I assume they'll say he was misquoted and only talking about Stellantis

No, they will say that Tesla is the only American auto maker.

Pleading ignorance here, but where are their batteries and/or the materials they use for their batteries coming from? Are they subject to tariffs?

I don't really know much about the industry, but according to this piece, about a quarter of their parts/components are imported, so they will see some effect.

From here, I saw an estimate that tariffs could increase the cost of an EV by about $12,000.

It won’t matter - Trump will carve out everything that could hamper Tesla. But won’t publicize it.

Trump needs to carve out himself then. Tesla imports plenty - batteries, raw materials.

Blinding glimpse of the obvious here.  Along with tariffs, cutting inflation and grocery prices, one of the biggest lies/inconsistencies in his campaign.

All this discussion seems pointless once we accept the cold hard fact that our president has only one objective and that is to destroy this country totally and completely before he takes his ill gotten profits to some country that will never extradite him.  It is damn near too late to do anything about that already.

Nice market for corporate farmers to pick up some nice properties. When they have what they want, I'm sure we won't see the government resuming food programs here and abroad to keep growing profitable for the new overlords.
