Somebody asked what 2+2 is, and one group on here says four and one group says hamburger. We spent the next three hours eagerly awaiting the judges to determine who is right.

2+2 is a type of car: 2 door with small back seats.

If you have ever been heading south on I-35E and saw a funny looking place right at the split of 67 and 35, that's the place. I don't know if they are Assembly of God, United Pentecostal, or unaffiliated.

Yeah, I didn't mention that there's no accreditation for them. It's a closed system. If you 'graduate' from there it's to stay within the nurturing confines of the charismatic evangelical movement.

I could have sworn that was a Billy Graham joint.  But apparently not.

No, not really.  I think we're going to find though that he was largely a one issue (pro life) nut job.

If so, that would make this even more pathetic. Those nuts are getting everything they ever dreamed of, faster than they could have possibly imagined.

And it's still not enough.

No, they both voted. One in the their House and the other in their Senate. If you would like, go look it up here and here.  That is directly from the Minnesota's .gov system. That was the reason I looked it up because it seemed too stupid to be to actually be believable...

This may end up being politically inconvenient for people, but if the local reports are correct, this is going to get much worse because the name being provided to local law enforcement is someone embedded in Minnesota state politics.

This whole thing is fucking wild. It has no real part in the the fabric of America and the whole thing is a travesty.

Minnesota has always been their own strain of weird politically, but for the most part has been fairly civil with their differences. If the name being circulated is the true, it makes no sense to me.

Yes they both voted. No, they didn't both vote for it. You didn't read your own link. Hoffman voted against:

Hoffman actually voted against it twice. He voted against suspending the rules to accelerate its readings for votes and then against the passage of the bill.

Don't be a pussy. Come and take your medicine and apologize, especially after that condescending lecture on political inconvenience.

It’s gross reading the posts from guys thinking they’re dunking on the libs.

They do this every time. They ignore all the pro-life, anti-Dem, pro-Trump garbage and find the one thing that says “leftist”

This guy said he likes our national parks. LIBTARD!

One time the shooter liked an instagram post of Joe Biden’s. LIBTARD

Etc. etc.

Apparently, he rented a room in this other house and stayed there a few days per week but also lived with his wife and (maybe) kids elsewhere. Weird shit.

Wife was pulled over by police and had some interesting shit in her vehicle.

The wife of the suspect accused of killing a Minnesota politician and attempting to assassinate another was found with a trove of suspicious items in her car.

Vance Boelter's wife Jenny was stopped by authorities at a convenience store while driving a car with three other relatives inside near Onamia at 10am on Saturday.

She was found with a weapon, ammunition, cash and passports about 75 miles from where the shootings took place in Brooklyn Park and Champlin, Minnesota, eight hours earlier.

Maybe he was a repressed homosexual. Those guys never act out, or become right wing politicians or anything.

Hopefully, they're closing the noose. The fact that they nabbed his wife driving up to the Northwoods with cash and weapons, along with other family members, might mean they've got a good lead.

It’s you I’m laughing at.  I mean we have no idea who did this, but apparently you do.

Where you at?

I want him taken alive but I can tell he's a fucking coward who's going to off himself when he knows he's cornered.

They have the wife. She’s bound to know some things and they have her for at least aiding and abetting, so hopefully she’s in a sharing mood.

Minnesota Star-Tribune rolling coverage of the suspect. Interesting text sent to his "housemates," which itself is not well explained.

https://www.startribune.com/brooklyn-park-police-searching-for-suspect-in-multiple-targeted-shootings/601372993

5:35 p.m. - Vance Boelter texted roommates that he was “going to be gone for a while” and “may be dead shortly,” according to one of his housemates in North Minneapolis who read the message aloud to reporters. Boelter reached out to roommates David Carlson and Ron Ramsey.

“David and Ron, I love you guys. I made some choices, and you guys don’t know anything about this, but I’m going to be gone for a while. May be dead shortly, so I just want to let you know I love you guys both and I wish it hadn’t gone this way. I don’t want to say anything more and implicate you in any way because you guys don’t know anything about this. But I love you guys and I’m sorry for all the trouble this has caused.”

I wonder why he didn't send her a text beforehand that repeatedly said that she didn't know anything about it?

Agreed. The link I gave from the Star-Tribune mentioned that he also had a wife and kids, but that doesn't sound like a wife-and-kids household. The article didn't reconcile the info, but the S-T is also probably in full-blown panic mode trying to process all the stuff it's got coming in from whoever was available to work on a Saturday.

Bottom line is he sounds like a real piece of work whose life may have been falling apart. His guideposts may have all been pulled up -- lost his income, might have lost his family, probably never had a good sense of what his church and his god even meant because he may have never put independent thought into either. Tragic all around.

Yeah, I'm reconsidering my take on the dude's guideposts (which was still, to be fair to myself, an early take). Looks like maybe he kept his guideposts, and that may have been the major problem. His family and friends also appear to have been under the influence of a view that will cause the world a bit of grief in the near future, from the looks of things.

Some of us would consider ourselves spiritual and/or religious. Virtually all of us have friends and family who are spiritual and/or religious. And most of us are going to be in the very uncomfortable position for a while of trying to figure out what the hell that means in the context of a time of serious reckoning.

I'm really struggling with it and am now heading to the basement for a workout and then out to the patio for a beer.
