This has been bound to happen since the attempt on Whitmer and Trump mentioning pardoning those criminals.  And it will continue to happen.

So he had a fake cop car as well?

I don’t want to rush to judgment but “the shooter may have a law enforcement background” seems possible

Oh he has a manifesto which I doubt we will ever see

That shit needs to be made public. I think we all know what it will say.

Here's the thing:  this can't be hand-waved away as anything other than political violence.

True.  But you know they will try.  The talking points will be out be tomorrow and will be one of the following:

1.  False flag operation to take away attention from dear leaders glorious bday parade.

2.  They didn’t teally die!  This is all theater!

3.  They didn’t comply with the fake police officers commands and therefore deserved it!

4.  They are not “real” Americans since they oppose dear leader.  He should pardon the shooter.

Everyone here needs to know, remember, and be clear-eyed: by associating with any “opposition” to the Regime, you are putting your life at risk.
Your yard sign, your flag, your bumper sticker, your lawn presence at a political event, a Democrat office, all may make your life forfeit.
That is where we are. The truth is, we’ve been there for a while.
Know that the price of exercising your political rights may be your life. And don’t hesitate to do so.

This is why my wife said “absolutely not” when I asked her if she wanted to go to the No Kings protest in downtown Dallas today.

We are so fucking fucked.

There are a million ways to die, and no one here gets out alive. Dying while standing for the right thing is far better than most endings. I’m not seeking it, and I’m no martyr, but I’ve made peace with that possible outcome.

This. Message from our daughter overseas, acknowledging that we are still going: “Be careful. Have a plan. And thank you.”
Start something today, people. And don’t stop.

My mindset.  I'm fighting for my daughter's future.

Noem sends her regards

Noem. Head of “Homeland Security.” As her Regime successfully encourages violence against its political opponents.
Homeland Security is not here to protect you, if you oppose the Regime: it is here to see you dead.

This is the result of Trump pardoning J6ers and paying off Ashli Babbitt’s family. Terrorists and people willing to commit political violence and murder are emboldened like never before

Yes, but there's also the aspect of not giving the shithead an audience.

We can't decide how much truth we want as a society.

He got an audience already. The public needs to know why our politicians are being targeted for murder and what is driving those motivations. I’m sure it has nothing to do with the current guy in charge and his outright glee about similar situations.

Im pretty sure his manifesto isn’t going to be industrial society.

It bears repeating - TRUMP WANTED TO PARDON WITMERS ATTEMPTED KIDNAPPERS! He only backed off because Witmer said she opposed it, but who fucking knows with this asshole. Anything is on the table, ESPECIALLY if it ownz the libz

I would not be shocked one iota if the gunman ended up getting a Rittenhouse-type prosecution where they disallow any bit of negative contextual evidence, and narrowly charge him and botch the trial.

If this is at all coordinated, the "manifesto" is going to advance the narrative that this was antifa/false flag/leftist violence.

Take a break. People will surely gin up these conspiracy theories online but nothing about this morning’s press conferences show state level coordination or support

Nice police work there, guys.

Unrelated:  Hortman was considered the 2nd-highest ranking Democrat in Minnesota.  This is not a Democrat who was angry about one vote.
