Why are the details of Jerry’s cancer journey coming out now, years after the cure. The cynic in me thinks it’s because his popularity is at an all-time low and he’s hoping to score some sympathy votes.

I love it when owners play the “He’s already under contract” card. How many players has he cut while under contract but the guaranteed money was either not onerous or non-existent.

football teams can’t violate contracts.  if the money isn’t guaranteed it isn’t guaranteed and they can cut players.

Is this drug only available to rich assholes?

Gonna venture a guess here that we may be seeing cutting edge technology. Seems Jones claimed it's all gone from his body. That sounds virtually impossible to me. In the past, if one cell survives, it possibly has some kind of immunity and then it begins to multiply. Next thing you know you have an even bigger problem.

It occurs to me that maybe the new way of treating cancer will be to use this tech on you every time there's a recurrence. I just can't imagine anything that will get rid of every single cell. I say this because in the old chemo days, they nearly killed you (and your own immunity) to get rid of all the cancer - and your body is destroyed and it still didn't work. We've seen Jones now for the last year or two looking none the worse for wear, so maybe PD1 will become the new standard, and eventually available to everyone.

A friend last year got a grim diagnosis, but other friends who know what they're talking about sound like the prognosis has turned around. So fingers crossed (not for Jones, mind you).

immunotherapy is widely available.  each of these drugs have to go through trials for particular cancers and back in 2010 he probably got one that was being evaluated for his type of melanoma.  and PD1 is not a drug, it’s a drug target.

Uhh players negotiate guarantees in their contracts.  When cut they get what they are contracted to get.  Shitty players have shitty guarantees, and good ones have big guarantees.  And stupid owners give crazy guarantees.  Deshaun Watson has $230 mill 100% guarantee.  Hasn’t played for shit since he signed it with Cleveland.  Dak got $240 mill/$231 mil guaranteed contract.  He can play like total shit or get a catastrophic career ending injury and he gets all the remaining guarantee.  I guess you like it when a team gets stuck with a shitball contract.  For the most part players love playing for Jerry.

Glad I'm not the only one thinking this. He knows he has run this franchise into the ground in terms of on the field performance. So here comes the sympathy card and a Netflix series glorifying the good ol days over 3 decades ago.

Nah, there is zero chance he's ever thought for even a second that he's made a single mistake. He thinks he's doing a great job. He's a textbook narcisist.

Welp, the defense still can't stop the run or cover anyone so at least we're consistent.  Without Micah, they're struggling with a consistent pass rush although James Houston looks pretty damn good.  He should win a roster spot.

Offensively?  Still can't do shit without the starters except lose yardage.  Milton looks good..... every 5th play.  The other 4 he's terrible.

Schotty's early grade is bad.  Team doesn't look prepared to compete and his in game coaching is bleh.

I would cut Jalen Tolbert.  For reals.  I'd roll with Flourney and the kid who has flashed Traeshon Holden along with Jalen Brooks, who is a ST guy.

This feels like Miles Sanders is being used heavily to see if he can earn a roster spot.  It's been okay thus far (mostly not his fault), but nothing which has heads turning.

The current secondary on this team may be the worst in the league.  Hard to say, because I haven't scrutinized all of them, but I guess a better comment is, its hard to imagine there's a worse secondary in the game.  It's fucking terrible right now.  It's hoping for a miracle comeback by Diggs.  That's...... unbelievable.

Look guys.... Jerrah realizes he needs to do better.  He knows!  Does he fucking care?  Nah, as long as folks keep showing up at the stadium and enriching him or buying Cowboys gear and enriching him or not challenging him in the media or in public and keep enriching him.  He doesn't give a shit, because this is a soap opera to him, this is performative and the Cowboys fans are the saps which he does magic tricks for and makes his coin.... Around and around we go.

The defense equaled the offensive points output that the offense did.  Not sure that's good since the defense gave up 400 yards of offense and 31 points.

Look at this asshole....

Let me be the first to cheer the Dallas Cowboys onto their inevitable march to Super Bowl glory this season.

I read this in Patrick Bateman's voice.  Like right after he gets done with his morning routine voice.

Whatever you expected the Cowboys to do this year it's going to be worse. I had 8 and 9 at camp. It's 5-12 now. They are horrible. Abandon hope all ye who enter here.

Yet, the delusional Cowboy fans will continue to show up and give them money.

You can’t go in to the season with him as the backup

it really doesn't matter who the backup QB is.  this team is horrible and Dak is average to above average.  if  Dak goes down there is no backup QB that would save this team anyway.

Neposchotty will be gone in 3 years.  I think it could be bad enough to be gone in 2 but Jerry tends to at least go 3.

This may save Tolbert's spot on the team, but it probably shouldn't..... That pick we gave up for Mingo is looking like a total waste.  Another fine decision by the Jones boys.

If Ehlinger gets cut, Dallas needs to scoop him up that day.  No joke, he'd be the 2nd best QB on our roster.

Im going to enjoy every beating this pack of unlikeable losers takes this year. Such stupid decisions all around from the Jones crew.

Was there any doubt this jack ass was going to be anything other than in way over his head as a head coach? This team is going to look like the Washington Generals this season.
