The entitlement connected to thinking you can act like the biggest asshole in the world and then are shocked when you die AND PEOPLE ARE HAPPY.

I wish I was that unaware.

Imagine coming in here trying to scold posters and calling them degenerate humans while your side is walking around with Nazi flags, kidnapping brown folk and tossing them in the back of unmarked vehicles headed to who knows were.

Pretty good encapsulation here. Good dose of strawman and deflection with a sidecar of whataboutism. I have not seen posters in this community meme posting the various immigration threads with gore material. When you see one please do call out the degeneracy and feel free to at me.

Just ignore them. They are not worth responding to. That poster is not going to change. Not now and not after this bout with fascism ends. You leave people like that alone and ignore them. Respond to folks not here looking to rile people up with abjectly ignorant comments while desperately seeking any kind of attention that comes from them.

I’d actually love to sit down with you some time. I don’t think that you really have a read here. Beware the echo chamber influences.

The administration continues to take care of morbid, shameless, cruelty-is-the-point dehumanization of their enemies quite ably. Of which you refuse to acknowledge, let alone condemn.

But, we know, what anonymous people say on some random message board is what's really important.

You really only have impact in your own community. Now certainly this little internet space is not the limit of most of our actual real world communities, but none the less, it is an actual community of people with decades of dialogue. It's kind of weird that some of you don't understand that when it is convenient to you for rhetorical purchase.

Multiple times a month, someone will start a thread in Daily Texas about someone who was killed under nefarious, unusual, grotesque circumstances. Without fail, someone on Surly will make a distasteful remark or joke. No one--not you, not me--will care. We might even laugh.

Making fun of the dead isn't really my jam, and murder certainly shouldn't be celebrated, but...

Why does Charlie Kirk, of all fucking people, deserve more dignity in death than some other rando you've never met? Because he's famous? That's fucking dumb.

He doesn’t. He was a racist POS.

because Charlie Kirk represented him, and he can't come to terms with the fact that he is a piece of shit too?

Very navel gazing post that I can certainly try to appreciate.

No one deserves greater dignity over another.

I can’t see it, but I’m assuming Ana is still trying to pretend he’s a serious person?  Really, I’m not sure why he bothers.

He's noticing and he's concerned.

Pretty goddamn broad.

How about don't be a fascist authoritarian expending every ounce of your raison d'etre on making everyone and everything exist in your monochromatic ideal of a boring fuckworld?

Can we do that? Would that be ok with you? Would that make you happy, grievance addict? I bet it would.

I've ignored your pearl clutching over some off-colored joke someone here said, ignoring the positive things people here in this community out in the real world. However, it's time to put an end to your faux outrage don't you think? It was cute a couple years ago, but now that the sky truly is falling it's time for you to step outside and straighten out your side of the voting bloc. What are you doing to help get the train back on the tracks on your side?

I haven’t heard anything about him for a while, came here because I saw his widow dry humping Vance on stage. She’s really making the rounds haha.

Yeah, all these pearl-clutching right wingers trying to take the moral high ground, like, "How can you be so heartless to say mean things about Charlie?  He had a family!  Have some respect for the deceased."

Go look up what Charlie Kirk said about MLK, of all people, you mindless parrots.

I'm not saying that Charlie deserved to die for being a racist, sexist, lying, pseudointellectual windbag who was bad for this country.  He did not.  But his death does not make any of that stuff any less true.

Seriously.....I've hugged plenty of women who aren't my wife (or very close family members) over the past 30 years.  Close friends.  Strong professional contacts, even.  Never have I (1) put my hands on her hips like JD did, or (2) had her with her hand caressing the back of my head.  Like....never.   Not even close.  That's....something.
