Seriously, if Sark loses out for the season, which is looking likely, is Sark gone?

Sark could lose out and then go 5-7 next year and he’ll probably still coach here the following year.

As much as I don't look forward to 2-5 years of total rebuild, the Sark to NFL noise isn't without a few puffs of smoke, and anyone who banks on anything Sexton says is a fool...the dude wants to rival Musk and Bezos for Yacht size and cost.

I really don't know who I'd want as coach right now, I'll have to think about it.

No.

I'd love to see what Lane Kiffin could do here.

That ain't gonna happen. We lose today, and the people who have been keeping mum about certain things are gonna let it all out.

He's toast.

Saban can run the operation like he did at Bama. He'll have the budget.  It was our choice not to spend it on OL.

I like Will Stein's offense.  I'd at least like to interview him and see if he's HC material.  There are actually some interesting names if the job opens up.  I'm assuming Lanning is unattainable unless he just covets the UT job.

Kiffin is worse than Sark, jfc

Lea and Key are riding coattails of their QBs a la charlie strong. Need to see their records next year before hiring.

Freeman is interesting. No Texas ties tho

Id also take a shot at Elko.

Doubt Cignetti comes.

Drinkwitz has a lotta unknowns. Fritz isnt flashy but hes won literally everywhere. Morris super interesting but never coached big time

Sark had no Texas ties.

Freemen would be embraced well by the high school coaches in the state.  He’s a personable dude.

The best coach just got locked in at Indiana. The second best is off the hot seat at Alabama.

I’d argue for PK and get the best OC you can, but that may not work.

Nobody Sabans age is taking over what will be a 2-3 year rebuild at minimum, probably closer to 5-6. Get that shit out of your mind.

I really hope it’s not Kiffin just so I don’t have to live through several years of you idiots misspelling his name. Jesus Christ, maybe we can find a coach named C-a-t Cat.

What makes anyone think PK would want to be head coach?

With all the posters saying he doesn’t want to be a HC, I’m convinced it’s actually his dream.

PK isn't remotely head coach material and, to his credit, he knows that about himself.

Kiffin is James Franklin with a sense of humor.  He'll always be good but never win anything of consequence.  His teams reflect his personality and crumble when the stakes are high.

I would want kiffin but no way the Texas PR machine would hire him. They want a Mack or sark type. No clue why anyone would want freeman. ND fucking blows.

That’s my question too.

Lane Kiffin! He’d absolutely crush it here.
Would he though? Kiffin is known for dice rolling with playcalling that Texas fans have little patience for.

Why? They were bent over, cheeks spread for Urban.

No such thing as a 5-6 year rebuild with the portal as it is today.

Pretty sure they don’t want a sark type. Pretty sure.

I'm talking getting into national championship shape, how many teams don't ever reach that even without needing a total rebuild? Be realistic, not idealistic based on where you think Texas should be.

He can compete the following year. The roster talent is good outside of OL.  He just needs one portal cycle and a lot of money.

The buyout at Indiana isn't prohibitive.  He can be had.

In the vacuum of only Texas improving their weak areas while other teams roll with what they have..maybe.
