Maybe we shouldn’t sell arms to [checks notes] the host country of many of the 9/11 terrorists that [flips page] still has ties to Sunni-based terrorists and [back page] recently murdered a Washington Post journalist.

Keep turning the pages. Tell me when you get to the notes about “but has extensive financial connections to the Trumo family,” and it’ll all make sense.

Tonight, on national television, the President of the United States claimed he would take damaging information on his election opponent offered by a foreign government as opposed to alerting the FBI.

I should be appalled but my first reaction is to be shocked at how goddamn dumb he is.

As mentally addled as he is, he still knows the score right now. He says it because he faces no repercussions for doing so. If any other president had said that they would've been removed before the sentence was finished, Democrat or Republican. Dotard is completely running the Republican party and they do nothing to stop his insanity.

we learned tonight what we already knew - trump would 100% prefer to cozy up to a foreign power - hostile or friendly - if it meant he could beat an american democratic candidate in an election.

turns out mueller wasted two years.  he could've just walked into the oval office and asked a few questions on camera.

Dear Democrats,

While I endorse patience and process when dealing with Dotard and getting him removed, he crossed a line to where the process of removal should now be imminent. Do the right thing and begin the impeachment proceedings and take a stand for our Republic. Or don't and stay on the sidelines while a traitorous clown burns the last embers of our Democracy.

By the time you get that far, The Sons of Jacob have already yanked it out of your hand because reading is for fags in Gilead.

what's really crazy about that interview, is that it was very calm, prepared, and staged.  it wasn't on the ropeline, it wasn't a press briefing that escalated and got away from him.  it wasn't some emotional outburst.  he didn't say something "off-the-cuff".  he wasn't confused about whether he was on the record.  he had every chance to "say the right thing", but didn't.  he gave his (ridiculous and illegal) opinion.  then when pressed, doubled and tripled down.

seriously.  he has no idea that there's anything wrong with this.  he even contradicted his own fbi director's statement.

he's not even being underhanded or sneaky.  he seriously just thinks this is ok, which means he doesn't know the law, or thinks it does not apply to him.

to me, this is way scarier than someone who's purposely trying to be deceitful and manipulative.  to plead ignorance over intent is something i would expect if i had a young child who got caught stealing a cookie.  this is exactly the opposite of how you would want your president to behave.  even a stable genius like this guy.

This is a much better way of articulating what I meant. I am not shocked that he said something so criminal because of the consequences - there won't be any. The House could begin impeachment proceedings tomorrow and it wouldn't matter. The Senate would never convict. I am shocked at how childlike he is, how he totally lacks any grasp of the implication of what he is saying. It's incredible.

just saw a clip of an abc interview with george steph where trump says he would definitely accept info from foreign govt on opponents.  called it oppo research.  when asked if you should "accept it or call the fbi" he first said "both" but then reinforced his statement that you should listen to the information.  that there aren't enough fbi agents to handle getting calls about oppo research.

i'm sure the video will be up soon.

good god.

Sounds like Don Jrs' Congressional Hearing did not go well.

So if I'm understanding things correctly, accepting "oppo research" from a foreign adversary without contacting the FBI is very legal, very cool, everyone would do it. But our intelligence agencies following up on  a dossier from a foreign intelligence asset is the crime of the century. Damn the world is confusing. Good thing we have dotard to lead us through these turbulent and confusing times. In our orange fucking retard we should trust.

Trumps evil pet turtle would welcome foreign intervention in our elections as well. In fact, he already has. That reptile just don’t give a fuck.

Turtles are reptiles right? Its been awhile since I was in middle school.

I really do hope the baby boomers are proud of their enduring legacy.

Donald J. Trump. Failed casino mogul, failed football league owner, fucks porn stars to celebrate the birth of his son, grabs women by the pussy, declares bankruptcy seven times, and becomes a reality tv star and finally, President of the United States of America.

God damn they must be proud of their own generation. Such a great legacy to leave to their kids and grandkids. Trillions and trillions in debt, useless wars, and a tyrant who swoons over love letters from the norks and other various thugs and dictators.

Lots to write in the history books. Y’all should be very very proud.

Not to worry. By the time its bankrupt, the boomers will be long dead. So why should they care?

Yeah, it's all about their needs, fears, wants--f'k you, I'm getting mine.  And somehow, they're always the victims.

Dude. MS 13 is coming after their shit right this moment. I personally have made a killing on selling olds the MS 13 insurance.  So I guess I’m part of the problem. Oh well.

Particularly since the policies are worthless. Whenever some MS 13 guy rolls into Westlake hills, pemberton heights or highland park and kills some old couple the insurance company is just gonna claim it was some other gang anyway, like the crips or the bloods or something, so no coverage afforded.

Oh well. They do offer a free trumpy bear to the surviving family for every claim they deny. So that makes it somewhat ok.

My grandfather is 94 and a Pacific Theatre vet.  I'm tempted to ask him what he thinks of the Boomers now.

When I’m 94 I’m not gonna give a fuck about any of that or really anything much in particular. I suspect your grandfather might be of a similar mindset.

But regardless, please tell him sincerely that later generations truly do appreciate what he did, no matter what has transpired since then. People like your grandfather are true heroes and are truly the greatest generation, despite whatever their kids may or may not have done since then.  Until W (who I stil think was not a bad a guy, just manipulated and naive) and Trump came along it was chugging along ok. Its not hopeless yet.

My parents stopped watching fox few years ago.  And you can see it pains them seeing so many of their friends support this piece of shit.  I'm proud.

That’s the thing about generations. Plenty of good people like your parents. Unfortunately, they have been drowned out by the pieces of shit trump supporters and the manipulated trump supporters.

So that will be their generation’s legacy regardless.

This must be in Qanon language.

it makes sense (sort of) if you go look at cuomo primetime's tweet (it was a typo).  he looks like he's correcting chris - who i would assume doesn't type out his own tweets during his broadcast.

how did you get them to do that? Asking for a friend.

I had made some comments about their slant and if they insist on 'news' channels they should flip around.  Surprisingly they took that advice.  This was 2-3 years ago before so many became firmly entrenched in their camps.  Now they watch a lot of shark tank reruns.  It was fun hearing them ask me why we didn't sell our group of 140 physicians on shark tank.  Obviously, because we aren't worthy.

My grandfather Pacific Theater vet died a few years ago.  A few weeks ago, I may have told my father that his father would be rolling over in his grave at his blind support of Trump.  Fun conversation.
