The preseason hype around Clemson should have given us pause when they were one of our easiest wins last year. Vandy and Kentucky played us tougher than they did and both those teams would probably beat them

Given how terrible the press has been towards Arch I'm amazed Cade isn't getting the same treatment... Heisman contender and a senior.  Make it make sense.

Just here to enjoy the Clemson meltdown

Because it’s Clemson, and some dude named Klubnick….nobody in the general public gives a shit about either.

The most common question about Clemson is “…where, exactly, is Clemson?”

I mean the “coolest” thing they’ve got is that they drive in busses from one side of the stadium to the other before the game…

I wish you would consider the parents before you post this shit, because from what I hear, Cade's father reads everything on Surly Horns that you assholes post about his son.

I don't know his father, but I hear that everyone agrees that he is really, really great guy.

There was a time when his dad (who isn't me) couldn’t walk into a restaurant without folks wanting pictures, handshakes, and pats on the back. They wore Cade's jersey like armor. Every touchdown felt like the whole world was cheering for his father.

Now? Every mistake, every interception, every sack, and you have a father who has done everything for his son, because he never got a fair chance himself to be a star, sitting in the stands listening to the hurtful comments and reading this shit on Surly Horns. Sometimes it gets so bad, his father wants to give those losers the business. People used to come up to his father in the supermarket and want to shake his hand. Now, they avoid him and pretend to look away.

It's probably really, really, really painful and humiliating.

Does his father think Cade's perfect? No. Do I see the mistakes? Of course I do.

I get it. Fans want wins, not excuses. But it’s hard when the same folks who once shouted “Heisman” are now saying "has-been."

His dad deserves better than this. Much better. Good luck to him.

His dad doesn’t deserve shit. Come on man. He doesn’t “deserve” all the handshakes and knob slobbing at restaurants either - but he gets that.

His son is a great QB having a tough year. It is what it is.

I am sure Gale Gilbert read the board. Ricky’s mom. Quinn’s dad. Hundreds of parents got to see their son eviscerated right here in real time for some fucking reason. Hell, Arch’s fam is going through it right now, and these are just guys on our team.

We can’t talk about the performance of a QB on another team because his dad reads the board and it may hit him in his feels because he missed his “chance” and it will decrease the public adoration he gets when he dines out at China Town?

No.

I'm not really understanding the stanning for the Klubniks. This may be a tough time for them, but it comes with the territory of the life they chose. You take the good, you take the bad, you take the rest and then you have the facts of life.

Why is his dad religiously reading this website? We barely even talk about him here, and I don't think anyone has strong negative feelings toward the kid. I think most people generally cheer for him to do well. It's weird he would follow what little is said about his son here.

I don't feel bad for parents of college athletes who are making millions of dollars off of their son. Those are problems that 99% of the world would love to have to "struggle" through.

You know who else "never got a fair chance himself to be a star?" Pretty much everyone.

Who is avoiding talking to the dad at the supermarket because Clemson isn't winning football games? Did his family move to wherever the fuck Clemson is? Or are they still in Westlake?  That doesn't make sense to me.

I read this thread when it updates. BO&W is an idiot and has no impact on my behavior.

Sir, you might be, in fact, his dad. Nice little slip up there. Also, this post is way too emotional for someone who isn't his dad. Lastly, Klubnick's performance and identity has nothing to do with his father's identity or self worth.

Why would Cade’s dad be here reading shit about Cade if he was such a great guy? Both of Cade’s parents went to aggy so how well can they actually read?

Maybe if Clemson was winning, Cade’s dad could be jerking off to the comments on Clemson’s Tiger Net about how great Cade is instead of crying about what we’re saying over here.

Honestly, it's a little hard to tell with the Westlake guys here. His alleged troll post and real posts are too similar.
