Username checks out.

And so I guess Rudeboy not only concedes that Biden won, but he's now somehow in charge of the DOJ already.  Boy, he good.

I would prefer he surround himself with crazy people spouting crazy shit at the end, rather than surround himself with competent people doing evil shit at the end.

Better he go all Howard Hughes and flounder around in his own mental illness.

Or, as noted in that NYT article by the former OLC lawyer, competent people trying to restrain Trump to the sane, inadvertently promoting the insanity.

Howard Hughes was a productive member of society.

Accusing the future Biden administration of possibly using the DOJ for politically motivated investigations while spending the entire year of 2020 meeting with Trumps DOJ to open investigations into his political rival’s son.

...right

Well, Biden didn't invent a vaccine or stop the Covid recession or 300000 people from dying.  These are the Republican talking points for 2024.

Whole opinion, if anyone care.  https://www.democracydocket.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/45/2020/11/CV2020014553-elections-m.e.-1.pdf

Arizona has some scrong election law precedents.  I think we've all learned that courts are hostile to post-election challenges other than those provided expressly by statute, that is, the right to a recount or audit.

Arizona, though, has some strong case law effectively prohibiting other post-election challenges and presuming that elections are fair and free absent clear and convincing evidence. Check this from 1917:

The temptation to actual fraud and corruption on the part of the candidates and their political supporters is never so great as when it is known precisely how many votes it will take to change the result; and men who are willing to sell their votes before election will quite as readily sell their testimony afterwards, especially as the means of detecting perjury and falsehood are not always at hand until after the wrong sought to be accomplished by it has become successful and the honest will of the people has been thwarted.

Seems like more jurisdictions should have similar precedents.

I'd be curious to hear a candid analysis of why Trump thinks 230 should be repealed.  Sure it would kill those Twitter meanies that don't let him lie without reperucssions.  It would also kill parler, and facebook. and many of the very things that are responsible for his ascendance.

Why Trump wants it repealed? He wants it repealed because he is angry at Facebook and Twitter and someone told him that repealing 230 would make life difficult for Dorsey and Zuckerberg. It’s really that simple and he doesn’t have any deeper or thoughtful analysis. It’s always a mistake to ascribe more thought him that what’s on the surface.

Karl, the president is saying the same shit and is now bringing her back to be his special council.  Don’t say she’s doing a disservice to him, it’s the narrative that he wants pushed. She’s one of few that are willing to do so.

How do you serve a summons on the Electoral College?  Do you serve the bundle of votes that are just sitting in Washington right now (they are due to the Capitol Managers tomorrow by close of business).  Do you serve those postal workers and Capitol mail sorters?  Do you mistakenly serve Elon College because of the abbreviations?    Do you serve all 50 State Capitols plus D.C.?  Or do you serve each of the 538 electors at their homes?  Do you serve just the 306 that voted for Biden at their homes?  It's based on state of residence, so do you serve them at home?  But many of them are of import, do you serve them at work or in their vacation homes?  Do you wear a disguise and try to pretend it's like the nation's largest game of Publisher's Clearing House?

Pro tip Trumpers---when you try to serve a summons to a multi-state, multi-person entity...do what I do...use Four Seasons Process Servers.

Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall...all you have to do is call and it's as good as done.  They can dress up like a snowman, an Easter Bunny, Gritty, or a large Jack-o-Lantern.  They've served more paper than an Andre Agassi Kinko's.  Or something, I dunno. the simulation is dragging its ass to the end of 2020 worse than I am.

i think they are confused about the electoral college, especially in contrast to other colleges, like trump university.

the electoral college is not an actual college.

trump university is also not an actual college.

but only one of these can, and has, been successfully sued.

This could be the actual horrifying truth and not just an easy joke.

you got that right.  i do not foresee them cleaning the microwaves before they leave.  wouldnt surprise me if trump takes a dump in the resolute desk on his way out.

Are we 100% sure the resolute desk is even still there? I think the last time we saw him at a desk it was that little tiny one they set up for him for some reason.

Trump sat behind an itty-bitty desk, and the Internet loved it - The Boston Globe
