Watching the road crew chip seal our street with hot oil and fine gravel.
This is the second time for this process since we built our house 30 years ago. The street was first built about 40 years ago on ranch pastureland.
Guess we won’t drive anywhere for a day or two.
Kinda entertaining.

And the first time it rains there will be a pile of gravel at the curb.  On my street anyway.

Is Mama Betty's better than Santiagos?

Bigger & noisier at MB’s.
House drinks are equal,

Crispy Taco plates at MB’s are a little tastier.
Beef enchilada plates at Santiago’s are better.
Santiago’s queso compuesto ftw. So is their salsa.

We like both places, but are not culinary gourmets.

Yep, and our cars will be tracking some of that excess gravel all the way into the garage for years afterward.

If we spent a moderate sum of money for travel, clothes, and a gift for a wedding that fails within the first 5 years.  Shouldn't we be due a pro-rated sum back?  We have met our contract obligation.  If the marriage doesn't meet its contract goals, then pay me.

Speaking hypothetically of course, if I gave a Mexican cop a fake 50 is that any more illegal than him asking/demanding a bribe?  I mean, he's trying to stick it to me, so I stick to him isn't that fair?  It has to be funny at least.   If I were to get caught and extradited by to the US, I'd bet a prosecutor would find it funny and give me a slap on the wrist.

This reminds me of a trip to boys town by Laredo back in the early 80s. One of our party wanted to knock out the cop working security because his pistola appeared to be rusted solid.

Hopefully you let him try

No, I threw his drunk ass over my shoulder and got him away from there, although looking back at things he pulled later on I should have let him do it.

If it's illegal to throw away paint because it's a toxic substance, how is it legal for the paint companies to make and sell thst toxic substance? And even then, how is it legal for painters to to slop 124 fluid ounces of that toxic stuff on a wall right out in the open, but then illegal for him to throw away the bucket with 4 ounces still in it?

How do you feel about modern gas can designs?

The YF-23 fighter was faster, stealthier, and had longer range than the F-22 Raptor. Whoever made the decision to pick the F-22 really fucked up. When you have AA missiles with 40+ range, does low speed maneuverability matter all that much?

And the YF-23 just looks so much cooler and futuristic

It depends on what it is. Latex/acrylic/water-based paint you just need to let it dry and then you can toss it. Anything oil-based you aren't supposed to throw in the trash but, you know.

Do not dispose of the paint in liquid form.  Open the lid and allow the paint to dry thoroughly, then dispose of it.  @tbone_ is correct.  This is to keep paint out of waterways and groundwater.  Most modern paints are low VOC, so they do not pollute the air as much, either.

No lying allowed. Your 1970 Plymouth Belvedere just had a flat on the left front tire.  You jack it up but can’t get any of the lug nuts loose.  What are you doing wrong?

Did you know to loosen lug nuts on wheels on the left side of a 60s or 70s Plymouth, you rotate clockwise?
