This is really what I don't get and why I'm still so pissed. What was the point in bringing him in? To play against Rice and Tech? The fuck? He's the kind of guy you play against ou every day of the week. Fucking Sark, man.

it's not like Sark didn't have him at Bama, he knows what the guy can do or not or how/when  he can use him.  This would be a good question for Sark at his press conference tomorrow so there's no way in hell it will be asked.

it's called the counter, that's how you lose that game and how we lose so many to those fucks

We can't defend it because our d lineman titty-fight at the line instead of getting penetration. And we can't run it bc our o-linemen allow penetration instead of at least getting a titty-fight stalemate (which usually means the O-line wins).

they were fighting through double teams and we couldn't fight through air

Spent the last 24hrs thinking about this game and it truly is such a bummer.
Their QB was throwing up punts and the secondary couldn’t ever turn around, Running the KO from 3yds deep then fumbling, stupid false starts on OL (the fucking center no less). Just so many step on your dick moments that took away a W that was sitting there to be had.

just a mess. Need to see how Texas responds vs OSU. I’m definitely worried about this team’s mental toughness.

You should be fine against the pukes a you should be capable of out scoring them.  OSU is scoring only 25 points/game and averaging only about 378 yards of total offense.  But their defense is very strong allowing only 18 points/game.

How did you find this pit of sin we call surly?

One of my friend’s brought up a good question yesterday, “Why does OU get the end of the stadium by the tunnel every year?”

I truly have no answer and have accepted it since I was a kid growing up in Dallas in the 80s and going to this game almost every year.

She and her husband sit in the Cotton Bowl Association seats above the tunnel, below the upper deck every year, and said it helped changed the momentum at the half.

is there a reason?

I think because we get the other end with room for Bevo

This follows a pattern where I'm always hoping we'll have some special package designed for a player like him to spring on OU and of course that never ever comes to fruition.

Your special run package is called "Bijan."

If UT is handing the ball off to someone else, they're helping the defense.

consolation prize:  5* spencer rattler seeing the foreboding reality of having to transfer to Oral Roberts University because he's getting booed on by the fans and outplayed by a freshman

What can I say the Horn fans loudly chanted a College Gameday "We want Caleb, we want Caleb" and you got what your asked for.  Sometimes that bites you in the backside.  I guess we will focus Spencer game toward making 2 point conversions going forward.  At least until 5* QB Malachi Nelson arrives in 2023.

But relax Sark is no Strong or Herman and he knows how to lead the horns for their impending entry into the SEC.  Something I am not so certain Lincoln is ready for.

Because OU had first choice.

Exactly! Why tf are you not using such an explosive player in such a big game? And yeah, no way they're going to grow a pair and ask that. God forbid we get answers to actual football decisions

There actually have been some feeble attempts over the years to change up, especially when they put on the complete upper deck. I remember there was a big push to alternate ends especially because of the tunnel, and they even tried to sell respective tickets to those ends. But I think so many people switched off or bought secondhand tickets to sit on the traditional sides that it was mixed at best. Eventually as far as I can tell they just gave up andTexas still has the north side of the cotton bowl.

I also remember a weak movement to try to make East-West stands, with the dividing lines on the end zone stands. That never worked either.

I think people just like the way it's been forever.

Fuck sitting on that half of the stadium. I did it for our Mack-era Cotton Bowl games and I felt dirty afterwards….

Then it’s just simply the agreement in place I guess

I cannot tell you how each team initially got their end of the Cotton Bowl for seating but per Wikipedia it has been optional since 2007.  They state:   "Beginning in 2007, the teams have option to alternate North and South ends of the field, thereby giving the home team fans the seats adjacent to the tunnel leading to both teams' locker rooms.[29] However, Texas has declined to exercise its option to move to the south end each year in which they have been the designated home team. However, former Texas coach Charlie Strong said he would favor Texas fans being in the south end zone during their home games."

Had to run some errands, but I'm back and just finished the 1st half.  I'm still feeling pretty good about this.  I think we can win this thing.

We'll see if watching the last half will make me rageful and bitter too.  I don't want to feel left out.  At least  Bama likely beat the shit out of aggy so I've got that going for me.

Well, I guess that you could say that OU fans did the same on National TV in your own stadium a week before.

That's something you could say for sure.

What happened  to Rojo yesterday?   I mean it wasn’t like he was used sparingly in the first five games and all the sudden not one carry.

Sark likes to stick with one ball carrier until he wears them down and gets them injured.  Which happens unless you have a once in a generation player like Earl.

Everyone on here had boner  like 13 year olds finding a stack of Playboys through the whole 1st half

By the time the 4th qtr came along, the maximum dose of Viagra and a  pump wouldn’t help.

Fuck the world.

Fuck everyone and everything everywhere.

Fuck Oklahoma.

Fuck Texas.

Fuck all of you.

Fuck me and my miserable life.

How can the OL be so bad? How are we so bad at basic defensive fundamentals?  If Gerg is still alive, he needs to be in Austin yesterday.

Ritualistic suicide doesn't seem like a bad option... at least Bama probably kicked aggy ass.  That salves the wound a little.

Nor did I say Wikipedia is factual just quoted what they reported.  Duh!

Red River Shootout since WWII OU 39-Texas 35-3 ties.  Last 7 OU 6-Texas 1, last OU 16-Texas 7.  Having been attending this game since 1961 I know to relax as this series has always been about streaks and the horns time will come.  Just hopefully not in my lifetime.

P.S. trying to insure your happiness is part of my business.

In PK's career as a defensive coordinator this game was the most yards per carry, Arkansas was his third worst yds/carry

So. The common denominator would be existing ut football players from last three years. I don’t think pk missed all hose tackle himself.
