People like Sark much more than Tom. I think he's a good guy who makes bad decisions.

I agree with the first part. Not enough info to do so on 2nd part.

Channeling my inner Burton - "Interesting."

I don't like playing this game either.  I'd probably be inclined to say Manning though, choosing to ignore the clunkers earlier in the season.

Good receivers make their QB's look better though.  Sayin looks a lot better with both Smith and Tate on the field.  Evans made Manziel, etc.

I don't know about the off-field stuff (all just rumors at this point) since he got to Texas, but his hiring and playcalling decisions are bad and the off-field decisions before landing at Bama were publicized and suboptimal. You can't get away with shenanigans unless you're winning nattys.

I’m NOT saying he’s a bad guy, I’m just saying I don’t have enough info to say he is or ain’t.

He’s certainly guilty of his share of bad choices (so am I tho, so…)

This isn't a meltdown, it's people started asking wtf is up with this team and when the digging started there was immediately some things uncovered.

The meltdown was short lived to the middle of Sunday.

We must have very high meltdown standards around here, because this sure looks like a meltdown.

I’ve been saying all year that Wingo should have been this years Jaydon Blue.

@immamacneeds to buy a Luby’s franchise but add a bar and bus in olds on Horseshoe Bay and we can ride our Temu speedboats to the dock. This is what happens. Olds all over the Austin area will sign up in their assisted living homes to go to a Luby’s on the lake with booze. Profit. We watch smoke come from the tower when we pick a new HC.

Aggie has the record we should have had with our Team if Sark wasn’t phoning it in. Harsh I know but Elko is riding the wave of a fairly easy schedule but he’s also NOT losing games. We had a much more difficult schedule no question. But we screwed the pooch. They have the record we should have. If they beat us then we have swapped places and that might be enough to wake up the real BMD dragons who have been oddly silent as this all unfolds.

Will this get embarrassing is the question people need to ask themselves… 😢 🤘🏼

I remember Surly telling me that Elko was recruiting nothing but three stars and that they would suck this year.

We on the other hand lost to one of the worst conference teams on our schedule and have not played a full four quarters of a game in over two years.

Sark was clearly asleep at the switch as it relates to this year’s roster and being out coached is becoming a trend.  Everyone can choose to not believe that there is smoke around his personal life but I’ve heard it as well going back to last year.  I don’t know if any of it is true because I haven’t seen it. But, I do know that people who have a connection to the university either by substantial donation status or it is where they get their paycheck are saying it. If it’s not true, or not based upon some kernel of truth, why are they saying it?  I always ask myself when I hear a leak of something what is the motivation for the leak?  Here, I don’t have an answer for it.  Maybe it’s just our own brand of dysfunction. But, even when his neighbors are saying things about what they observed, I wonder if he’s not distracted.

Putting all that aside, I know what I have seen with my own eyes. Inconsistent and undisciplined play. Poor preparation and lack of adjustments in game. A terrible OL this year which is choking the life out of the season. Not having a run game which has put a ton more pressure on a young but talented QB to be a hero at all times.

I’m not one of those people who think he ought to go undefeated every year. But, I do think with his resources he should win the games he is supposed to and be competitive in the rest.  Our staff did not have our team ready to play coming off of both bye weeks this year. That’s inexcusable. They were embarrassed by the Georgia staff on Saturday.  Even with our OL issues, the talent disparity was not that great against Georgia. We played like shit. Our game plan was shit. Our play calling was shit as well as our decision to allow them to pick us apart with soft defensive coverage.  I don’t know if it is true, but ESPN reported the day before the game that Sark had only practiced two days last week and that he had given the team a lot of time off. A good portion of our defense was at the basketball game on Wednesday night. Maybe they deserved a break, or maybe they could have been looking at film. Who knows?  They sure didn’t play like a team that had time to kill.

I fully believe that we should beat A&M.  But, I don’t think deep down that we will because I have no faith that this staff will put our team in a position to win. I also have no faith that our head coach can focus up and see things as they are instead of how he may want them to be.

Honestly, when was the last game where you felt like we came out and played a full four quarters where we looked good from start to finish against an opponent with a pulse?  For myself, I can’t remember. Maybe some of yours is better than mine.

Yall are fucking nuts!

This team has lost to Ohio State and Georgia which are 2 legitimate top 6/7 teams in the country. The team also has a terrible loss to a Florida team who managed to put some talented players on the field who had been previously hurt against Texas.

Now people are talking about losing to Arkansas at home? This team isn’t losing to that pile of shit in Austin. It may be closer than we want but they aren’t losing on Saturday.

I still think the A&M game is a coin flip as they haven’t really been that impressive this year.

This season has clearly not been what we want. I’m hoping for a strong finish and they go out and fix the OL in the portal which will make every unit on this team better.

Reason has no place in this thread, sir. This thread is for hyperventilating, pearl clutching, and drama.

Good day!

I agree with all of this.  I didn't expect us to win the national championship this year, but I expected us to be competitive.  We have looked like dogshit in at least 1 phase of the game if not 2-3 in every game this year.  This is year 5.  These are Sark's hand chosen players.  These are his coaches, his schemes, his roster.  There are no excuses for being young in today's portal era.  The reason we are young, was because "the staff loves this roster".  Really?  They love these players?  UGA and Ohio State lose more than we did to the draft and turnover yet they are both top 5 and beat us decisively with neither game ever being in doubt.  I know we lost by 7 to tOSU but that was a 14-0 game most of the game and they simply burned clock until our 4th down score late in the 4th.  Why is it that those staffs can manage turnover and have disciplined teams yet we look like shit.  We were ranked 100+ in penalties last year, and we are 2nd to last this year.  This is a COACHING problem!  We are undisciplined and soft, yet this is top 3 roster from a budget and NIL stand point.  I'm not sure how Sark is going to really fix this without cleaning house because we return the bulk of the same undisciplined and soft players next year.  Oh btw, don't look at 2027 recruiting.... aggy is about to kick our ass and take the cream of the crop.  I bet that is going to sit really well with the donors considering the money they have invested while watching this drunk coast through the year and coast through recruiting.  Dude couldn't show up to the most important junior day this year.  Shit I'm sick half the year and I make it to work, let alone on one of the most important recruiting days for your program.  It's clear he has personal life issues, it's clear he neglected his job, and it's clear he's looking for an exit.  I think these reports are definitely not from Sark's side.  This is someone that is trying to create a rift and force his exit sooner than later.  Who and why? I have no idea.  CDC and the board better not get caught with their pants down with signing day approaching and portal window opening.  With that said, who is hiring this dude?  I wouldn't even hire him as a OC in the NFL or even college considering he struggles to put up 7 points against good defenses.  Unless we fire him for cause, not sure we can get rid of him even as I'm not sure who would invest in him with all his issues.
