Can you imagine the long ass letter to the local paper about needing help to find the stadium? It would be like one of those old Civil War letters.

My Dearest Family,

I pen this letter from the heart of Aggieland, a place as curious as it is captivating. Today, we journeyed to College Station, adorned in burnt orange and pride, prepared to face the Aggie faithful in their own land. Yet what awaited us was not the hostility of rivals but the kindness of kinfolk.

Lost amidst a sea of maroon, we wandered in search of Kyle Field, that grand fortress of Aggie football. It was then that a gentleman, clad in the uniform of their traditions—a cowboy hat, boots, and that peculiar ring they all seem to wear—approached us with a smile as warm as the Texas sun.

“Y’all need help finding the stadium?” he asked, as though we were old friends. And help us he did, walking us halfway there, all the while regaling us with tales of Aggie lore: their Reveille mascot, the mystical Midnight Yell, and their curious practice of calling themselves "the 12th Man."

Others joined along the way, each more eager than the last to share directions, handshakes, and even recommendations for the best brisket in town. One kind soul handed me a bottle of water and said with a grin, “Y’all Longhorns are in for a treat today. But don’t worry—we’ll go easy on you.”

By the time we reached the stadium gates, I confess my burnt orange heart wavered. How could one not be moved by such camaraderie? For a fleeting moment, I found myself wishing to join their cheers of “Gig ‘em” and to partake in their swaying Aggie War Hymn.

As the game began, the rivalry returned, fierce and unrelenting, but I could not forget their kindness. It seems that in the heart of Texas, even amidst the fiercest of rivalries, hospitality still reigns supreme.

Though my loyalty lies forever with the Longhorns, a small part of me now holds a soft spot for the Aggies and their welcoming ways. Should our paths cross again in the future, it will be with the respect of worthy rivals and the warmth of newfound friends.

Yours with burnt orange pride, yet a maroon-tinged heart,
William Lambdin Prather

That level of wish casting is hilarious

What do they mean by no wins over teams? Beating them handily wasn’t a “good” win? I thought they were elite and no one just goes into their house and beats them, regardless of their historical record?
Our record should actually be 13-1 now with a win over gomer field and the 12th man.

Hot off the press at Aggiewire:

Watching Big 12 Championship. Listening to all the trash talk over the years from Aggy about the 'Big Dumpster Fire' Big 12 Conference and realizing ASU and Iowa State would both throttle them.

It's a cult.  They have zero actual knowledge about play in the Big 12, whether this year or in years prior.  Does it tend towards a less physical game in the trenches than in the SEC?  Yes.  Does it emphasize speed and athleticism and misdirection more?  Yes.  Even w/o UT and OU as members.

They will find any excuse to hand-wave away Big 12 teams that dominate their top tier teams, like Texas vs UGA (bowl) or Texas vs 'bama (2023 but even 2022 was close, despite Ewers' injury and let's not forget the screw job in the end zone).

Fuck A&M.  I hesitate to call them "little brother" because (a) I don't have a brother and (b) if I did I would love him, not want him to get hit by a truck.

I might be drinking already.

Weigman is apparently down to Syracuse, Mizzou and Houston.

Personally, I think he should transfer to Nahbrahska.

I'll be here all week.

Honest post here: Wiggy needs to get far away from here. UH would be the last place he should consider.

But he’s an aggy, so he’ll end up at UH smoking his own homegrown with his high school buddies.

He should go to  Mizzou so he can skull fuck aggy in Columbia next year.

Imagine, after the beat down Aggy put on them at home, they're all cocky, and talking shit about Conner and he beats them.

Would be glorious.

Being “intellectually honest” means that 2012 A&M should be credited with making the playoffs - even though there weren’t playoffs?

He’s basically saying “we had a good season once!”

Confession: I actually prefer TexAgs to Surly Horns. It is 100% always entertaining and never ceases to amaze me! This morning, I kid you not, there were Aggy posters who were holding out hope that they would be one of the 12 teams chosen for the playoffs! It truly is endlessly hilarious! I almost want to buy a subscription to read the ‘premium’ threads to read what Aggy says behind closed doors. I can’t even imagine how amazing that must be.

Side note: I was hoping they were gonna go to Houston to face Baylor but the SEC seems intent on protecting them from embarrassing BDF bowl results. Now that they are headed to Vegas to play Stinkin Lincoln they really should send the milkmen out on the strip to practice their dance moves for sin city to see what crazy looks like.

They have to love their 9:30pm CST start time for their bowl game 🤣

Not to worry.  Aggy will effectively respond with one or a combination of some boycott, a sternly worded letter to the powers behind setting the game time, an open records request (if applicable), skewing some online poll denouncing the start time, and the always popular - blaming Texas for the reason the game is starting so late.

You're probably not making a great point about being intellectually honest if you can't even spell intellectually.

It's not that wild, actually. Anyone who thought that A&M would be a consistent player in any playoff less than 16+ teams was an idiot.

I'll take USC in this one. Better offense and an improved defense. Plus aggy has no offense, anyway. If they still had Moss I would take aggy, but alas, they don't.

Lincoln Riley rarely beat out the Aggies for any top recruits while he was in Norman, but he is still one of the more annoying characters in college football. He's patently overpaid for what he has accomplished in Los Angeles—or, maybe more accurately, failed to accomplish—and yet he's still mentioned like he's an elite coach in the sport.

But what would feel the sweetest about this one is that it would be payback for what the Trojans did to the Aggies late in this recruiting cycle. Riley's team swooped in and stole Husan Longstreet out from under A&M's nose, preying on fears about playing time with Marcel Reed now at the helm, and nearly left the Aggies high and dry.

This led to quite a bit of crowing on the part of Trojan fans. They stopped their gobs after the Aggies flipped Jerome Myles in return, of course, but they may not yet have learned their lesson.

Beating up on USC would be a nice slice of humble pie to serve to one of the most fair-weather fanbases in the entire nation after a season full of it out in sunny Southern California.

I had an aggy on a lease a few years back that is premium. I went through some threads on his phone and was more sane (at that time) than the open board. The open one is better for the lulz. Don’t waste your money giving looch more funds for his coke habit.
Who is aggy playing in the playoffs?
Whats that? They can't even make it to the 12 team expanded playoffs?
Bwahahaha

If you would be inteluxuly honest with yourself they made it in 2012 and 2020.

Outside funding for a coke habit is nothing to sneeze at.
