Unlike the last four/five/six coaches that were going to be the ones to bring glory to aggyvile, THIS IS THE ONE who will bring glory to aggyville.

Sir, I was told the worm is turning. I’m still holding the rope. Are you telling me Coach Fran is lying to me? Because I read in his insider e-mail…

Someone just sent me this from a site called "Undying Bonfire."

"This is history.
They enact a memory of Aggies we lost, and rekindle perpetually a great legacy. Bonfire is the foremost leadership lab of its kind in the world. Completely student led and executed, Aggie students test and form themselves and each other throughout the year-round process of building Bonfire."

These people simply defy satire. Everything they do is legendary in their minds.

Seems like the site should be called "Unliving Bonfire."

Random thought I was having. Why didn’t Fatterson ever get brought up as a target? He’s not done coaching completely is he?

He's anti-portal/NIL/adjusting to the modern game in general

Not according to this genius:

Same logic as a wife that goes to the outlet mall, drops $5,000 on shoes, and brags about how much money she saved because everything was 20% below retail. No, honey, there’s still $5,000 missing from our bank account.

What years would the unclaimed ones be? I almost wish the powers that be would throw those on the stadium wall right before the A&M home game in 2025. I think they should get a mention in the National Championship trophy room though.

a handful:

  • 1914: 1 selector picked Texas (4 of 7 picked Army)
  • 1941: 2 selectors picked Texas (11 picked Minn)
  • 1968: 3 selectors picked Texas (14 of 18 picked Ohio State
  • 1977: 4 selectors picked Texas (17 of 22 picked ND)
  • 1981: 1 selector picked Texas (18 of 23 picked Clemson)

as a reminder for the ones A&M claim, they had 2 of 15 selectors pick them for 1919 (5 picked Harvard, 5 picked Illinois), 1927 1 of 12 selectors picked them (5 picked Illinois, 3 picked Georgia), 1939 14 of 18 picked Texas A&M (3 selectors picked Cornell) so in reality only one of those is anywhere close to legitimate - 1939

The 1919 and 1927 claims were awarded retroactively by Sagarin, Billingsley, and something called the National Championship Foundation.  Polls that didn't even exist until after all the players on those teams were all dead and gone.

So not only are there no aggy alive today who saw those championships, the players on those teams never got a trophy for those "championships" and none of their peers ever considered that some obscure organization would call them "champions" many decades later.

Was the VB game a conference game? What other sports will be SEC? Baseball?

No that was round 1 of the NCAA volleyball tournament. ATM dispensed and sent back to Collie Station. Texas is a 2 seed. SMU up tonight and they're a 7 seed.

Asjia O'Neal is a joy to watch.
