ESPN: Who is the best HS QB to ever come out of Texas?

I mean if this is based solely on HS accomplishments than well yea 3 straight top division titles a perfect record as a starter and  a 40+ game win streak or whatever it was is likely going to propel you to the top.

If it is based on anything other than that it's normal ESPN retard

That was the exact title of the article. All of this outrage over nothing lol. KM had the best high school career because he never lost.

VY obviously better in college.

He had every advantage and recruiting.

Pffft. at best Texas HS QB ever.

He won three straight top division state titles. No one else can even come close to competing with that.

And honestly Garrett Gilbert might be number 2 on that list. State records for yards, no losses his junior or senior years, back to back state titles.

So fucking what. Give hima  stat trophy then.

He overcame virtually nothing.  Most weeks in practice he played against better teams than they faced on Friday/ Saturday.

Yea who cares that he never lost a game and won three straight state titles. I’m not sure what you’re looking for here. It’s high school football. Rich high schools have advantages.

Doesn't make him the best QB out of Texas.  Not by a fucking long shot.

It makes him the beat high school qb from Texas. Which is what I said. If not Kyler then who?

Is your contention that anyone who plays for a football factory shouldn’t be considered. So anyone from Westlake, Southlake, Judson, Duncanville, Lake Travis, Highland Park, Katy, Lufkin, etc. just don’t get considered?

I already alluded to who mine is.  I'm biased AF, but not by stats.

It's debatable.   Very debatable, and a dude with every advantage and a recruited team ain't the one just because of his team's record in playoffs.  It ain't the NFL where footing is somewhat equal and Tom lords over everyone else.

Ok well it’s not Mahomes, he’s literally not even in the discussion.
So I’ll ask again, is anyone who played at a football factory automatically out of the discussion? Because that seems to be your stance.

Nobody got slighted. In fact, in my initial rebuttal, it was none other than Vincent Young as an example.

I agree. In terms of accomplishments, Kyler has it, sure. But as you alluded to, it's hard to compare some of these guys. Allen is a football factory. They literally created their high school the way it is because of football. A city that big has just one high school? You could place any of the guys in this list in Kyler's situation and the same results happen. Now how about placing Kyler in some of their situations such as Houston Madison where VY was? What VY did at an inner city school his senior year was fucking amazing. He didn't play at a school like Allen. If he did, he could have sleptwalk to what Kyler accomplished. Allen could walk out on the field and out talent anyone for the most part. Not everyone has lucky to play in systems like these. If all you do is list what Murray accomplished at Allen at a football factory is doing a disservice to the rest of the names.

VYs accomplishments especially for an inner city school are truly amazing. No doubt. But he never won state and never went undefeated and that has to matter.
And it’s easy to say anyone could step into Kyler’s situation and do that. My question would be why that hasn’t happened then?

Ryan Tannehill gets no respect, even from his own sheepmates,  but he's probably 3rd on that list for earnings.

1. Brees 2. Stafford 3. Tannehill 4. Luck 5. Dalton 6. Foles 7. McCown (lol) 8. Mahomes 9. Daniel 10. Kolb
