The gift that keeps on giving. I am way past this. Regain your focus and do what  is necessary to not have @closetojumping make you look like the bumbling fool you are.

I am happy to tell you what I know and why…so you can be happy to believe whatever you would like. I did my undergrad at SHSU (MBA @ UT) and am a fraternity brother of Conner’s dad. I could call him and he would answer, but I am not at that point in my life where I need  this drama. What I CAN tell you is that his dad is a solid dude and would never make excuses for injury, or allow his son to do so.  Believe what you want but be careful with your passive aggressive bullshit post.

I believe your thoughts, to be clear. That’s what makes things interesting between what you’ve been told and what the 247 reporters posted in quotes from Elko after a practice. Someone is bullshitting someone else. I obviously want it to be Elko lying in public.

To be fair, my information may be BS for all I know. I do know that the immediate future includes Conner’s parents sitting in the Cotton suite at Kyle Field with the expectation he is the starting QB continuing to cash in his NIL deal with said company.  @BurntOrange&White go to google, search Cotton and Weigman, return to site and do what you do best.

I’ll put on my QAnon hat and point out that a disaster relief company in Texas paying NIL to players is about a cubt hair shy of our tax dollars supporting Texas A&M athletics.

I think it's simpler than that. They're just angling for the prime contract after the next Bonfire disaster.

Sounds like the OL is still complete garbage after seeing posts about the spring game.  Of course, texags is just saying the Elk's defense is just that dominating.  They picked up a transfer Center from Utah today.  Supposedly started for them this past season.  Then we have this.

Every one of them has an AgTag.

Ever sensitive to the negro, the Aggies put inclusive art on the walls of the suite to make those people feel at home.

[To be absolutely clear, my ironic post scorns romantic notions about American enslavement of African people. If, even in this context, it offends, I will gladly and swiftly remove it. Neg rep or a PM will do.]

But you gotta admire the poetry of a disaster relief company paying for the aggy QB room

Didn’t watch one second of the A&M spring game but someone on one of the 9.95 sites posted the drive chart. I’m sure offensive recruits were super impressed.

1st drive: punt

2nd drive: FG

3rd drive: punt

4th drive: punt

5th drive:: punt

6th drive: punt

7th drive: Rushing TD (Le'Veon Moss after a 4th down conversion ON THEIR OWN 35.)

8th drive: punt

9th drive: punt

10th drive: punt

11th drive: Passing TD (Marcell Reed to Noah Thomas)

- - -

12th drive: punt

13th drive: Passing TD (Marcell Reed to Noah Thomas)

14th drive: punt

15th drive: fumble

16th drive: punt

17th drive: Rushing TD (Reuben Owens)

18th drive: time expired

I watched it, and it was a train wreck.

But the hometown Perdue transfer is legit.  Sucks he's on such a crappy team

There's likely not a student on that campus that has a memory of the Wrecking Crew. If you were 10 in 1993, you'd be 40 today.

There are likely few undergraduates who were alive for their last conference championship.

I'm sure there's a granny out there that never went to aggy yet pays for her grandson's tuition...and audits every class he takes to make sure he's being a good aggy and going to class.

One of the funnier parts of their spring game was when 2 students competed by throwing footballs into the bed of a pick-up.  The winner got a signed RC Slocum football.

I had to rewind to make sure I heard them correctly.

That’s what you call “churning the roster.” Flushing a lot of shitty players who replaced talented headcases, then flushing their shitty replacements.

Like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

That's not going to sit well with a certain redass mom

She doesn’t give a fuck. Her son didn’t go to Texas. Game over as far as she’s concerned. Of course it was also game over for her son’s track career.

The Twitter tells my Bryce Foster is not listed on their roster 🤔

Bryce Foster going to A&M to do football and T&F, only to quit football and only do T&F there instead of going to one of the significantly better throwing programs in the country is a very sad story.

Had a promising throwing future, and went to a program that didn't maximize his skills.

This cycle keeps getting better and better regarding the aggie roster and The Elk's apparent alchemy with its construction. ATM has now added a third TE transfer to their roster. I have spoilered Karels' article below but it is more terrific shit. Melko has people monitoring the sites and multiple reporters have been reprimanded so these articles get more and more careful, which makes things more and more obvious. It's greatness.

The new TE was a starter at East Carolina. He put up extremely pedestrian numbers over a 4 year career and ATM beat out Cal, Tulane, UH, and Oregon State for his services.

Meanwhile, the other two TEs they brought in from the transfer portal both sat out the spring game. Some of the alleged insiders are vaguely stating that The Elk and Crew will not tolerate loafers and that the roster will continue to churn. They'd better fucking hope so, as they now have 8! TEs on the roster. They're gonna have to RIF some more people, man.

I believe ATM currently has 8 scholarship WRs and 8 TEs on their roster. That is Collin Klein roster-building 101.

Spoiler

East Carolina tight end transfer Shane Calhoun has verbally committed to Texas A&M, announcing the news Monday via X. He is the third transfer to verbally pledge to the Aggies during the 15-day spring window for the NCAA Transfer Portal, joining Utah center Kolinu'u Faaiu and Pittsburgh linebacker Solomon DeShields.

As a graduate transfer, Calhoun has one season of collegiate eligibility remaining. He entered the portal last Wednesday and landed scholarship offers from several Division I programs, including California, Oregon State, Tulane, Houston, USF, New Mexico State and Marshall. He took an official visit to A&M over the weekend before making his decision public.

Across four seasons with the Pirates (2020-23), the 6-foot-3, 242-pound Calhoun appeared in 38 games with 33 starts. During that span, he recorded a combined 63 catches for 594 yards and six touchdowns. Calhoun enjoyed his best career season in 2022, catching 25 passes for 202 yards and two touchdowns. Through seven games last season, Calhoun tallied 15 receptions for 119 yards and two touchdowns.

East Carolina initially signed Calhoun to its 2020 recruiting class. 247Sports gave the Saint Augustine (Fla.) Creekside product a three-star rating, ranking him as its No. 59 tight end and No. 138 Florida player in that cycle. Per the 247Sports Composite, Calhoun came in as the No. 57 tight end, No. 159 Florida player and No. 1,200 overall player.

Where A&M stands with its scholarship numbers, transfer portal work

Following last season, A&M made tight end a priority during the winter portal window. With Calhoun in the mix, the Aggies have now picked up three transfer tight ends this offseason. Garrett Miller (Purdue) and Tre Watson (Fresno State) were the other additions.

Barring any additions or subtractions, A&M will have eight scholarship tight ends going into the 2024 season: Sixth-year senior Jerry Johnson III and Miller, fifth-year senior Calhoun, senior Watson, redshirt sophomores Donovan Green and Theo Melin Öhrström, redshirt freshman Jaden Platt and true freshman Eric Karner.

When including Calhoun, the Aggies now have a projected scholarship count of 90 players for the fall. Per NCAA rules, A&M will not need to meet the 85-scholarship limit until the first day of its fall semester. GigEm247 will continue to update its spring transfer portal tracker for the Aggies, which can be found here.

Five scholarship players have departed A&M for the portal during the spring window (April 16-30): linebacker Alex Howard, safety Jacoby Mathews, cornerback Sam McCall, offensive lineman Derrick Graham and kicker Ethan Moczulski.

Here are a few gems from the comments:
