My biggest beef with Dotard.  He’s made voting for one side so repugnant that you have to vote for the other side regardless of policy.  Now we’ve gotta act excited about price controls.

Uh, I’m pretty fucking excited about price controls.

That Emerson +4 poll has Harris +2, Trump -10, Walz even, Vance -10

That puts the 538 favorability averages at:

Harris 44/48
Trump 43/52
Walz 37/32
Vance 33/42

Explain to me like I'm 5 the difference between polls and favorability polls.  And why I should care.

If people don't like you, it's hard to get them to vote for you outside of your base.  If over 50% of voters don't like Trump, it's pretty hard for him to get a majority of the vote.

He usually hovers around 43-45 favorability, which is typically where his polling hovers (44-46%).

So by this logic, Walz should be running for POTUS?

Would it be too much to ask for Kamala or Walz to show up to their debate and put an orange, a mushroom, and a little toy couch on the podium and not say a word about it?

You know they had zero people there, looks like AI to me. Did they not learn anything from the Four Seasons fiasco?

Props aren’t allowed. I’d rather see Stormy Daniels and E. Jean Carroll seated in the front row of the audience. I don’t know if Karen McDougal could be persuaded. She actually liked the guy.

holy shit 7.5 MOE? that's not even worthy of discussion or even using for the average.

Do pollsters have to say who they are? I can imagine plenty of people hearing “we’re polling for Fox News” and hanging the fuck up while others would be happy to speak with them and skew the poll.

I don't think he understands the offer.

He definitely understands and knows that there will never be two VP debates.  He's just trying to score cheap points when the second one doesn't happen.

I am pretty sure that is just for the "independent" split.  The FoxNews poll had 1100 RV, which is pretty typical of polls, at least ones that do frequent polling.

Can they do anything normal? Even debate schedules get all Dotarded up.

"Kamala has agreed to debate me on Fox News, taking place at Mar-a-lago!"

"No I haven't. It's on CNN as scheduled."

"(ok)"

Having to coexist with a family of Trumpists in a red state, I often feel like I am going insane. And it's in those moments I thank sweet baby Jesus for you assholes and this fucking board. If it weren't for Surly, I think I might lose my goddamn mind.

Unless the internet goes away, those people aren't coming back. It fucking sucks.

Nobody proposed any “price controls,” come on.

Price controls are suck

but if you aren’t going to do anything meaningful about collusion and monopolies you need to have them

The pending Krogers-Albertson merger is definitely concerning.

HEB kicked Krogers ass in Texas

You worried about that when the real problem is the 3-4 companies that control everything in the beef, crop, poultry, pork, etc industries.

I think they have 1 dem and 1 rep pollster that work together.

I have no issue with the Fox poll. We will see a few Trump +1 / tied race to Harris +5-6 and that doesn’t change that its +3 Harris or so today

P

I bet this goes to like 51-52 Harris to 46 Trump

I think Trump is hard stuck at where he is where as Harris could get a few extra percentages. People who vote for Trump are not going to change much if at all.

I’m basically non-ideological on everything. The facts on the ground are what matter and you should always decide based on that.

This is one where I’d want to see whatever analysis they’ve done to say this is one of the situations where controls work out.  Austin doesn’t feel very monopolistic in grocery.  Small towns would more I’m sure, just like they’d seem that way for every type of business.

what the hell does this have to do with anything? His campaign should be doing everything they can to tie Harris to Biden considering how unpopular he is.

he keeps shooting himself in the dick.
