Wondering if all the Trump tariff talks have farmers thinking twice in Iowa. They were not pleased last time around.

They were pleased when trump dumped billions on farmers after his tariffs raw dogged them.

My Iowa farmers are basically betting Trump will cut them a check again

I have been saying this for years. And men really have a problem with independent, successful women.

Not me. I'm totally happy to go wherever you want to go in Europe.  I'll wear whatever you want, carry your bags and be a perfect gentleman.  *As long as you pay. The me paying part makes it a little too much like my marriage. And I'm already paying for that and the first go round.

They are barely recovering from last go round. Reinstatement of the tariffs this year would decimate many.

The best bosses I've had in my 20 year career have all been women and it's not even close.

I’ve got a friend in divorce because she just can suffer stupid anymore and she wishes women would do it for her. She then sighs and says something about how much she loves dick.

There's a woman out there for her.

Pretty sure she’d go trans man before cis or trans woman. But in the end she just likes dudes.

To add to my previous post it will be annoying if a chunk of seniors finally turn on Trump just because of their personal financial interests (SS and Medicare) but I'll take it. I really appreciated the old Iowa guy quoted as saying that J6 was why he'll never vote for Trump and will actually vote for a Democrat to keep him out of office. At least that's a principled but not only self-interested reason.

Feel like this tweet fits with Huck’s post.  Gee Ryan, I wonder what could cause seniors to turn on Trump?

If that Selzer Iowa poll is correct, then it's clear to me:

It's not that male pollsters can't see a clear winner.

It is that they don't understand most women...

especially about Roe.

In other words, typical men.

I don't think that's it all.  The MSG shitshow was just gravy on top.  I'll put it this way, if you've ever pissed off a woman, thought nothing of it, only for her to stew on it and basically quietly declare a jihad on your ass, you know what this is.  Somehow, the old adage, "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned", needs to be amended to include attempting to take away their rights.

Republicans have incorrectly thought that they could somehow take away the rights of women and just go ho hum about their business.  Any married man, or man that has been married, should easily recognize just how bad of an idea that is.

I've been hawkish on Democratic chances the entire time, but after seeing the data, and now seeing all this play out, I believe I was wrong in the sense that I underestimated just how big a deal this part of the whole equation really is.  When I think about how angry women are, and how I'd feel if the shoe were on the foot, it's pretty easy to see what is really happening.

Women aren't just about to be truly equal in the election process, the future of politics may well be asking first what it is they would like.

They don’t even need to understand them, they could look at 2022 and every special election since roe. Instead, they said naw they’ll have forgotten by now- their first chance to vote for POTUS since and a chance to vote against the guy they nominated the justices that did it.
