Again, how fucking stupid is this guy? Does he really think Trump is going to let him ban any of this stuff?

It's not about doing anything other than getting the votes.

Trump isn't going to do jack shit if he wins, except try to get revenge on people and end up at the top right corner of FAFO when he tries to install himself as dictator.

And they don't want handouts.

What?!

You must be taking about "local" farmers that pretty much live off their own.

Company farmers have been pushing for handles my whole life... Big or small, when the weather doesn't cooperate, they look for a handout. When price of inputs spike naturally, they want a handout (via price controls).

When John Deere puts billions into R&D and tried to recoup that cost, they want a handout (via calling Deere monopolistic price gougers).

Corporate (big or small) Farmers are like everyone else: looking out for #1.

And how many large, independent farms are left? Very few.

I'm making the assumption myself that Selzer is more correct than these other dorks, but there is such a simple explanation for the misses if this ends in a blowout win for Harris.

How long have we been watching this unfold and asking "How is this thing even close?"

The pollsters adjusting and adding weight to the data in their models in order to "find" the hidden Trump voters that were missed in 2020 and 2016 are completely missing something that the electorate itself is observing in real time that is actually nullifying the hidden Trump vote.

1. Dobbs, obviously and most importantly

2. Trump in 2024 is the oldest, most unfit and unstable candidate of any if our lifetimes

3. Or 2b. The most hideous, tone-deaf, messy, insulting, hateful and clumsy campaign of my lifetime.

This is not spiking the ball, it will still likely be very close in PA, NC, GA, AZ. But it's not hard to understand how all the stat geniuses could shit down their own legs in unison.

Remember, stat geniuses are who almost brought our financial system to its knees in 2008

This supports the hypothesis that Trump brings up Hannibal Lecter whenever the topic of immigration comes up because he doesn’t know the difference between an insane asylum and the concept of seeking asylum in a foreign country. When his advisors tell him immigrants come here to seek asylum, he genuinely thinks they are mental patients. Because he’s fucking stupid.

Dogs, cats, geese, people.  Them darn immigrants will eat anything.

I have not been inside a Chili’s in more than 20 years.  But, got damn, I believe I’ll be posting a victory photo from one on Wednesday!

Wed is too late. We need that Chili's energy on Tue night. Similar to our chicken fried steak efforts to land Quinn Ewers from the portal.

I must have missed the joke. Is Kamala a Chili’s fan or something?

Not sure how it started. There was an extended discussion on the place and the desirability of some menu items and deals.

I dunno man. I think it was the night shift.

cheez-its gaining traction ... banning snacks and cereal is rich coming from the side that cries about imaginary people coming for their gas cooktop and guns.

A conversation with my wife:

”We have to go to Chili’s when Kamala wins.”

”…Why?”

”Because that’s what Surly is doing.”

”We have to go to Chili’s because of Surly.”

“Yes.”

”If Surly jumped off a bridge..”

”Yes.”

The Harris campaign has finally decided to turn its attention to getting my 40 year old suburban, registered independent, white guy vote. My targeted messaging before a week ago was probably 90-10 Trump. For the last week or so it’s like 70-30 Harris. And I just had a pair of canvassers come to my door to somewhat apprehensively ask if I planned on voting. Their demeanor changed significantly when I told them I how enthusiastic I am about voting straight ticket democrat on Tuesday.

Where you at?

Also not a surprise. The last week has been a push for the margins, bc they’ve turned out or contacted all of their base or groups favorable to them.

Listen, I hate Trump like anyone else with half a brain.

That said, if he promises an ability to opt out of political commercials after I put in my vote, I would reconsider.

I keep forgetting about this. There is seriously a very good chance he goes to prison.

Kind of hard to believe that has not at all been a part of the campaign. For President of the United States.
