Of course he does.

It'll be renamed the Trump White Power House by 2027.

The dude that represented the sandy hook families should organize a class action suite against these fucks on behalf of everyone injured in the attack. $100M each sounds about right

Good stuff, but I really wish commentators would stop bringing up the Nazi salute, let alone opening with it, when criticizing Musk.

You immediately lose the people you're trying to convince with the salute stuff. Yeah, he probably did it on purpose, but that's a culture war moment that is triggering for some.  Stick to the mountain of Elon bullshit that is 100% tangible.

Many don't believe he gave a Nazi salute. Even if he did, it was just to troll, and everyone took the bait. Musk has done more meaningful damage to Americans than culture war bullshit.

There's a discipline needed to beat these fuckers and convince the convincible, and we don't have it.

It’s going to be classic when there is a bailout of the Trump coin after it totally collapses. But the terms will be “eligible if investment was over 1 million dollars”.

Privatize gains and socialize losses has been the republican playbook for decades.

I want to agree with you and at the same time throttle you.  Not your fault.

I was on vacation with the in laws right after that occurred and I brought it up to FIL.  IMMEDIATELY, he says it was "taken out of context".  And he's not even as big of a magat as the MIL.  But they are hard wired to reflexively claim FAKE NEWS! about anything that threatens their "team".

There's also a subsection of people who aren't paying attention and when you bring up the most horrifying, ridiculous shit that ACTUALLY OCCURS, they are quick to hand wave it away because they just don't want to believe it could be that bad.

All that said, the idea that we can't use the truth and facts to educate people breaks my brain.  You're probably right.  I don't have it.  Because fuck these people.  I would rather go down with honor than capitulate to the dumbest among us.

A Nazi salute cannot be excused for any reason, especially when done by a guy from a country with a history of apartheid.  It should be shown again before any other clip of Musk talking for the rest of his life.

In fact, let's play this out. Let's say the dems do investigate. And let's say that we all learn with 100% confidence that Trump made many trips to the island, and had sex numerous times with underage girls. Do you know what would happen next? Everyone in his orbit would shift to a pro-pedo stance. Then you'd see arguments on cable tv over whether we should all be pro or anti pedo. Assholes like Scott Jennings on CNN would suddenly be openly talking about how ridiculous our age of consent laws are, etc.

I fear this is likely correct. Hard to believe some of y’all still haven’t figured out that there are no red lines for this cult.

Trump’s supporters have been following him out to sea for a decade now, excusing every transgression and whip-sawing on their own cherished principles over and over again in the process. They’re hopelessly far from solid ground now. The only fixed point in their ocean of moral chaos is Trump. For them, good and evil are defined at every moment only by his whim. Because there is literally nothing left to grab hold of.

The Bible? Pshaw. They’ve rewritten that shit in their heads 10 times over at this point.

The Constitution? Don’t get me started on MAGA’s devotion to the contextual opportunist approach to interpreting that once-sacred document.

Cherished 20th Century American values? Nope. These fuckers learned history through an incoherent patchwork of utopian tall tales fed to them by conmen.

Trump is their only moral compass.

I missed this. I went to youtube to look it up, and there it is.

I reach for new words and old ones. I started with boorish, but the definition included "rough." Trump is an uncalloused creampuff, so that won't quite do.

I may have stumbled upon the most apt word choice of my life. He's a clod.

image.thumb.png.8d8d3347a924dcec0aabb0e96abe9435.png

It really stands out when he is in the presence of national leaders from just about anywhere else. It seems like a ventriloquist act where the foreign leader is the straight man to a dunce puppet.

Not sure why the judge would have any say so to approve of a civil settlement if no minors or class action is involved.

Guess it depends on the form of the settlement.  If they want a nice consent judgment where the government admits to all kinds of fictitious wrongdoing, the court doesn't have to sign off on that.

If they're content with giving them a bunch of money on a dismissal, it still requires leave of court, if the government answers.

Also note that the FBI agent is sued in her individual capacity, which may affect things.  That is, the gubmint doesn't represent the totality of the defendants.  She's gonna need some backbone or good pro Bono representation, though.

Yeah, DDD knows what’s up. It’s not a lawsuit. It’s a vehicle for transferring $100 million government dollars into the pocket of a private militia loyal to Trump. It’s a scam. Like this entire Regime.

Nah, one can get away with a whole lot in the USA, but pedophilia and mistreating dogs are the two no-gos.

The current president and everyone else involved with epstein got away with pedophilia.

So, it's dogs (with an asterisk) and what else?

I need to do so getting away with and am inquiring with intent to follow the rules as best as possible.

I'm just speculating on ways a judge can put the kibosh on it.

At one point, plaintiff and defense lawyers who had either filed or been removed to John McBryde's court were agreeing to dismiss, re-file in state court in Johnson County, and defendants agreed not to remove.  McBryde got wind of this and started refusing to dismiss injury cases without reviewing any agreement between the parties.

I think people are misunderstanding me.  You can get away with ANY crime if you are never caught.  You can get away with a lot of crimes even when you are caught if you have the right mix of wealth and power at your disposal.  Being a pedo isn't one of those crimes, mistreating dogs isn't one of those crimes.

As of this moment Dotard is not caught, and I doubt he is, but if he was and the evidence was there...no he would not get away with it.

Catholic priests, the entire Epstein thing, and PSU disagree...

And the only person I know to get in trouble for mistreating dogs is Vick.

People may faux complain about these things, but ain't shit happening...

Well, the Babbitt suit had a few more factual issues, but still a winner for the government.

I don't think you can make these kinds of claims, as a matter of law, after a conviction that is undisturbed on appeal.
