Sadly, those are about the only two things he did that were worth a shit and he had to be dragged kicking and screaming the entire time.

I think you're thinking of the L7 show at Liberty Lunch somewhere around '96.  I don't remember much about the show but the opener said we were falling into a Ballroom Blitz.  Blitz.  Blitz.

I was really tempted to call MTG's office about "Vaginal Event Horizon" yesterday because for some bizarre reason, her senior staffer still calls me back despite on some level knowing I'm just fucking with her.  But then I thought, "Oh God, she's gonna google 'Event Horizon' and make it even more weird."

We're getting to a weird apex here this week.  Both Trump and his Republican primary counterparts are just absolutely dominating the news cycle at a time when we should be talking about "cutest dog dressed as a reindeer" or whatever.  I gotta bad feeling something is coming between now and Iowa.  I swear to Jesus at his birthday, there is a way to get them to start murdering one another but I can't fucking see it, and this is my jam.  I get bad people to fuck over other bad people for a living.  There has to be a path here that doesn't involve the end of the country my daughters will likely grow up in.  Dammit Bob!

This piece of shit cannot die fast enough.

That's not a very nice thing to say about me at Christmas, dude.  If you don't like my posts, fine.  Just put me on ignore.

oh wait, were you talking about Trump?  I gotta good feeling that he's gone sooner rather than later.  My two fastest growing worries are:

1)  He knows he's dying.  And if he wins, he won't give fuck one about his legacy or even the last 2-3 years of his term.  He'll worry about wreaking all the havoc he can in the first year.  So get a Belize VRBO for 2025 now folks.

2)  I'm not even so much worried about the politicians that'll take up his mantle anymore.  I think, twisted and demented as they are, the GOP will pivot back to a less shitty (not hard to do) version of themselves after he's dead.  Just for the sake of money.  They can't keep this model afloat, and they know it.  As stupid as we think they are, there are actually like 7 people at the RNC who can work a pro-forma spreadsheet.  But when Trump is dead, and I'll beat this dead horse, tens of millions of his idiotic worshippers will take to the streets thinking he's either still alive operating a government in exile, that he was killed by the deep state, or that they need to perform X/Y/Z actions to bring about his return to this Earth in some sort of fucked-up, made in China, second coming (and I don't mean Asian porn)

Yeah, it's extra creepy coming from a man who wouldn't be allowed to vote for 2/5ths of America's existence as he's lecturing us on women not being able to vote for 3/5ths of our nation's history.  Fucking computers.

MAGA is devolving into a game of oppression hot potato. You’ve got a black dude speaking against women’s suffrage. Women (Boebert and MTG) freaking out about Latino immigration. A Latino (Fuentes) calling for an American Inquisition. Jewish guys (Miller, Shapiro) wanting to oppress everybody.

The GOP is the most awkward party since Michael Scott and Jan hosted dinner.

Black, Gay Republican Heckled With Slurs at MAGA Event: https://www.newsweek.com/black-gay-republican-heckled-slurs-maga-event-1853595

Quote

A Black and gay Republican influencer shared a video showing what he described as "White Supremacists" shouting slurs at him.

Rob Smith, an Army veteran, shared the video on X, formerly Twitter, on Monday. Smith said the incident occurred in Phoenix, where he and other conservatives gathered for Turning Point USA's AmericaFest, a four-day event that runs through Tuesday.

The nonprofit Turning Point USA has raised considerable sums of money to fund various election campaigns, though some in the Republican Party have been frustrated by the its support of far-right candidates who struggled in high-profile races. The youth organization became prominent after tying itself to former President Donald Trump's Make America Great Again political movement. Several recent polls have shown that an increasing number of Black voters were considering supporting Trump in 2024.

"Last night in Phoenix, I was confronted and surrounded by some White Supremacists that don't like gays or blacks in the Republican Party," Smith wrote in the post.

"They shouted 'n*****' and 'f*****' at me to make their point. However, I served in Iraq. I never back down. Ever."

Some in the video appear to be chanting "gay sex" after Smith says "Look at that, I've got some fans." Then, others can be heard shouting the homophobic slur at him before switching to "America First," but no racial slurs were heard in the clip Smith shared. The video can be seen here.

Smith has been contacted for comment via social media. Turning Point USA has been contacted through its website.

The post has amassed more than 3 million views and prompted several conservatives to send messages of support to Smith.

"Rob, I'm so sorry you had to go through this," conservative activist Scott Presler wrote.

"This is completely unacceptable & doesn't represent the America First vision. The best thing we can do is lead by example. Let's keep registering voters, recruiting volunteers, & prepare for victory in 2024."

Christina Pushaw, the rapid response director on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' presidential campaign, wrote: "This is embarrassing behavior. All I can say is their gutter trash talk gets rewarded online, and some of them are delusional enough to think they can act the same in real life."

J.R. Majewski, a Republican congressional candidate, wrote: "I was there... when I heard the commotion, I stood up for Rob and made sure he got out of there safely. This is the unfortunate reality of a fractured party without leadership."

Others had little sympathy for Smith.

"A gay black man walks into a White Supremacist Convention & is SHOCKED to see White Supremacists," actor Tom Arnold wrote. "I hope your grift is worth it buddy."

Another wrote that Smith "joined the face-eating leopard party and is shocked the leopards are eating his face."

Smith, the author of Always a Soldier: Service, Sacrifice, and Coming Out as America's Favorite Black, Gay Republican, previously told Newsweek that declaring that he is a conservative was harder for him than coming out as gay.

"Honestly, coming out as conservative has been more of an earth-shattering, life-altering move for me, personally, than coming out as gay was," Smith said in 2018.

"I came out [as gay] to my family and friends but coming out as conservative has been a very public thing...For me, this process has been more difficult to navigate than the process of coming out as gay."

So much to unpack.  First off, who shouts "gay sex" as a slur?  Reminds me of that stupid Adam Sandler comedy album from like 30 years ago.  "And this man shouted Gay Sex!  Which leads me to believe that this man is either gay himself, or uh...not straight."

Second---I get and appreciate that he served in Iraq in combat and "won't back down from anything."  But the better part of valor is just not walking unarmed into a shitshow to begin with.  Yes, you are brave, we are in awe of your service, and if I ever meet you it would be my honor to shake your hand and buy you dinner or provide a letter of recommendation for anything.  But you walked into a room full of people who openly shit on gays and blacks and you thought your "bravery" and "training" were gonna somehow help you?  HOw fucking stupid are you?  You see a group about to lynch a black person or homosexual and you saunter across the road and say, "I served in the military, perhaps I can be of some service?"  And then are shocked that they turn around for you too?  Served in heavy combat in the sandbox but a hotel full of stupids in Arizona...that's what threw you off your game?  Fucking imbecilic child doesn't begin to describe you.  I'd feel sorry for you but you'd probably mistake it for a surprise birthday party turned intervention.

Spoiler alert-Rob Smith.  You may be able to read a drop in coordinated artillery fire, but you sure as fuck can't read a room.

Fuck you, Republican lurkers. Cowards.

https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/maddowblog/polls-show-many-gop-voters-warm-trumps-authoritarian-rhetoric-rcna130408

The Des Moines Register published this report over the weekend:

Many likely Iowa Republican caucusgoers have no issue with several of Trump’s recent controversial statements, a new Des Moines Register/NBC News/Mediacom Iowa Poll has found — and more often than not, they say the same statements make them more likely to support the former president.

According to the survey results, 42% of likely GOP caucusgoers said Trump’s “poisoning the blood” rhetoric makes them more likely to support the former president’s candidacy. The same poll found that 43% of likely Republican caucusgoers are more likely to support him because of his fascistic references to American “vermin.”

The data dovetails with a national Fox News poll that asked respondents: “Some people say things in the U.S. are so far off track that we need a president willing to break some rules and laws to set things right, while others say the president should always follow the rules and laws. Which comes closest to your view?”

The survey found that 30% of self-identified Trump voters — nearly a third — were on board with a president who operates outside “rules and laws.”

Fucking this.  If you are not a white male christofascist, they WILL come for you.

The survey further found that the other 70% who purportedly weren't on board with such things were fucking lying.  Because "I'm a lawless authoritarian" is Trump's entire and exclusive brand.

The Georgia gop asked the trump campaign for a cash infusion before the 2020 election and was denied.

It likely wouldn't have mattered with their shitbag candidates, but still, it's nice to see.  It will cost them something big at some point.

Movie Jesus did.
Actual Jesus would be run out of every GQP meeting in America.

It's a fun mental exercise. Hippy Jesus comes walking in to a room full of "christians", and starts talking about loving the libs and the poor and helping the less fortunate. Within a few seconds it looks like this.
