Some teams have the type of offense where they run their system and if they have superior athletes to the competition, they can’t be stopped. The old Leach and OU offenses were that way. As a result they would run up huge scores. The downside was that when they ran into top teams they had few wrinkles to roll out and were stymied.

Sark’s approach and offense is built heavily on deception, motion, and throwing in wrinkles to find space. So he doesn’t do much against lesser teams because he wants to save those wrinkles for the critical games like OU and A&M, keeping them off film. As a result, they often don’t destroy lesser opponents.

He also purposely gets conservative late in games to avoid low percentage scenarios where the competition comes back to win. It’s why he has so many unnecessary close games. And of course this philosophy is flawed. Playing that conservative actually brings low percentage comebacks into play more than just continuing to beat them down.

Your first two paragraphs are great stories and you told them well but that’s straight up cope. The 3rd has  allowed competition to claw back into games with this shit. It’s not strategic it’s fucking pussy made shit

One last fuck you to our schedule sequencing this past year, as I've been bitching about it since January.

Game 1 at Ohio State, then 3 straight laughable cupcakes at home, bye week, at Florida. No excuses but I think it had a real negative effect on the season.  And then not playing a home game in all of October. Don't know how that happened, it can't happen again.

We kinda look like a buncha whiners right now

lol are we trying to sue someone like those tards at FSU?

Nope

Just using the committee’s shitty dumbfuck logic against them. If they don’t know ball and they don’t watch the games, and record is all that matters, it’s simple. We don’t schedule great OOC teams anymore.

Before we went SEC my argument was just to go independent, and do whatever the fuck we want. Notre Dame is doing it, and it’s working beautifully for them.

And there we have it….   But let’s ignore Bama lost to Florida State who (let me check) lost to Florida last week and OU who  I think Texas beat?

Am I right?

And, easily the "worst loss" of the one loss teams did not keep Tech from being in position for a bye ahead of 3 other one loss teams. tech's bad loss isn't "holding them back".

I feel it's a fun time to remind the mob that Booger, in a recent interview, confidently admitted he vastly prefers burgers over steak. I believe he said they are "the same thing, just prepared differently."

Has anyone posted the latest Vegas odds so some posters can get their hopes up and not realize they were being played for those sweet Longhorn dollars to roll in?

That's not how odds in Vegas work.

And just skated by a 5-7 Auburn team that came in 13th place in the SEC.

I mean that should be noted after they noted that we barely skated by MSU and UK.

But the fricken Chair of the committee made it sound like it was a hard fought win by might Bama on Saturday over a legit Auburn team.

That alone should disqualify every member on that committee if they REALLY thought this.

I’d just like to add that Kentucky beat Auburn by as many points as did A&M, OU, and Bama.

Indiana played Old Dominion, Indiana State and Kennesaw State in non conference play. Schools I didn’t even know had a football program until this year.

It is ridiculous a school can do that and be evaluated in the same sandbox as a Texas or Ohio State.

Yep. Who was it that played fucking Charlotte the other day? Charlotte? Never heard of it even as a school, much less one that has football. What is that ... Charlotte CC? Seriously. I have no fucking idea.

I mean Bama didn’t exactly earn their way straight into the CCG anyway.  They got in thanks to a series of events which the main one was we beating aggy.

Actually Bama was in regardless of what we did to aggy as long as they beat Auburn (remember Bama beat UGA when Kirby went full retard)

Wow it’s really unfortunate that a pussy ass team that scheduled Charlotte never had to face us on the field….

It was always absolute dumb fuckery to play an elite team week 1. Even if we came out ready to FUCK, week 1 will always feature freak mistakes and it’s never representative of the team. In hindsight, that may be why we kept it close. Week 1 should always be a cupcake

I thought I wanted to hear the committee explanation, but geez that's bad....in addition to those pointed out already, does he realize who Miami's losses are?

I can probably say that a good burger is more enjoyable than a good steak to me most of the time. I do not have any delusions that they are the same thing however.

What perplexes me is how 2 loss Vanderbilt is number 14 despite beating basically all of the same teams that 2 loss playoff lock OU did this season.

both beat LSU, Auburn, SC, Tennessee, Missouri.

vandy lost to Texas (on the road) and Alabama

Ou lost to Texas (ass raped on a neutral field) and Ole Miss.

We’re ranked ahead of Vandy but 5 spots below OU 🤔

It’s the. Were Texas nose up gentleman of honor bullshit. It’s why we’ve had weak ass players too.  Your coach needs to be a dick head and want to hang 50 on everyone. Put your back ups in and keep slinging the rock it filters down to the players wanting to pummel everyone.

the weak ass sark all brakes no gas use Caldwell to handoff to Christian fucking Clark 3 straight times is pussy shit.  Bob stoops was a dick eater but had no problem scoring 70 when he could

Not to deviate from the topic but it’s literally the same exact thing with the administration and the BMDs “playing by the rules” and like you said “gentleman of honor bullshit” when it comes to NIL. It’s very clear that other programs are not “playing by the rules”

We should play Howard Payne instead.

Howard Payne University bought Daniel Baker College, the team Texas beat 92-0 once.

Then beat Howard Payne by an identical score.  Lulz.

nothing about bama's FSU loss, nothing about ND's lack of wins. Nothing about head to head, nothing about the most meaningful slate against play off teams of any other team around. just the fucking 2nd grade fallacy that it's Florida.   Hey commitee fuckstains, FUCK YOU OLD ASSWIPES, Texas is objectively the 6th best team out of those 12. EABOD, I'm out. time for the holidays then baseball is here. DIAGF you fucking dumbshit.

Miami doesn't have a loss as bad as our loss to Florida.

Miami didn’t qualify for the championship game in the 4th best conference in the so-called Power 4 and has a single somewhat quality win….
