Pre-Sark i was all in but shit changes. His reputation as a coach has been absolutely destroyed by his NFL stint. And now the rules in college aren't the same and he can't just hold players hostage. They can actually leave. He is not for this era.

Winning fixes everything.

You know it’s that bleak time of year with football still way over the horizon of a long, hot summer when the “Urban Meyer to X school” rumor train pulls into the Station. Think Urban has got at least one last ride in him as far as big time college head coach goes but dunno who is gonna get desperate and shoot the proverbial money canon at him first.

The meltdown when he doesn't win would be fun.

True, but I bet it wouldn’t be 1-7 for top 5’s

It wouldn't be good enough for Texas. It never is.

"winning is hard" "it's not good for the kids to win too much"

Having high standards and expectations isn't bad. You seem to accept mediocrity rather easily

Sark has lost 20 games in 5 years at Texas. Urban lost 20 in his last 11 years coaching.

Sark lost 29 games at Washington. Urban lost 32 games in 17 years coaching.

i'll take a night shift spot too.

Yeah we are in the night shift. Unless they changed the rules. Day shift can’t post at night bc they might upset their wives’ apple carts. Plus, we have better music and snacks.

There's high standards and expectations and then there's surly standards and expectations, which can only be described as fantastical.
