Florida getting a good dude in Sumrall.

I cannot imagine multi tasking between two teams and also going thru the death of a parent. This is how you exit your team and it’s a show of character he donated money to Tulane’s fund. Good egg.

No matter the outcome of this game (colossal beatdown) it’s a stark juxtaposition from how Lame Punk Ass Douchebag Lane Kiffin left Ole Miss, period.

I like that tje telecast spelled out the contrast between Sumrall and Kiffin to the viewers. Just another example out of a thousand that shows Lane is a low character asshat deserving of the clap. 👏

I really hope Ole Miss and Oregon blow the doors off these undeserved teams so the Playoff Committee reevaluates these dumb auto-bid rules for irrelevant conferences.  Either make those 2 play each other for an at-large bid, or dump them from the process if they aren't in the top 12.

They should flip a coin at a gas station in Abilene

It's funny that you think lane doesn't have the clap.

Throw a sponsor on it, and make a 30 minute show out of it! Imagine what a company like DraftKings could do with a televised coin flip show.

Not to go all Nick Saban here but fuck having these G5 teams in the playoffs. Seriously let them fight you in court if you have to but this is bull shit.

The difference in athlete is palpable.

G6 leagues should have their own playoff.

G6 should get 1 spot. Their league can let coaches, players, ADs, or maybe just let the internet decide who gets in. It’s solely for entertainment anyways.

It isn't their fault the ACC was so bad their champion wasn't as good as G5 schools.

This game is fucking unwatchable.

All that is left is the intrigue of whether Tulane will score more points on the road than aggy did at home.

Normally I'd pull for the underdog but I believe they took our spot.

They automatically qualified. The ACC is what cost the extra at large spot.

No extra at large spot was cost.  There are 5 conference champion spots.  5 were taken.  Just happens that the ACC did not take one of them.

Incorrect. Miami took an at-large spot and JMU took the ACC autobid spot. It should have been Miami taking JMU's place and would have opened up an at-large.

I meant that because of the ACC dumb tiebreaker rules, Miami could not be the conference champ (which let JMU in) and instead took an at large spot.

JMU took an autobid spot as the 5th highest rated conference champion you fucking drunk.  Say Virginia wins then they are in, JMU is out and guess what it STILL comes down to Miami or Notre Dame for the 7th at large spot.

The entire notion of using a conference champion when conferences are complete bullshit outside of the top two needs to be thrown in the trash and lit on fire. This is a trash product.

No worse than the last two games.

Is that a joke? This is much worse. The game last night was a great game.

OU/Bama was pretty fun to watch. This one isn't and it's because Tulane didn't belong anywhere near the playoffs. JMU doesn't either.

Even as bad as aggy/Miami was, both of those teams would run Tulane/JMU off the field. And at least their matchup was close, even as ugly as it was to watch.

Oregon/JMU and Ole Miss/Tulane are about as pointless as the SEC playing D2 teams.

They shouldn't even be guaranteed 1 spot in a 12 team playoff.

Yes - because the ACC couldn't get it's best team into its own fucking conference championship game. If Miami plays and wins the CCG then JMU is out and the next P4 at-large gets to go.

Fairly simple arithmetic.

As mentioned before, I believe all conference champions should be in the playoffs because that's what playoffs are supposed to be. The FCS has 24 teams and so should the FBS with all conference champions getting a bid.

And if it did, the riff raff would mostly get ejected the first weekend anyway. Here's this year:

First Round: (Games the week after conference championships and bracket announcement)

#24 Kennesaw State @ #9 Alabama
#23 Western Michigan @ #10 Miami
#22 Boise St. @ #11 Notre Dame
#21 Duke @ #12 BYU
#20 James Madison @ #13 Texas
#19 Tulane @ #14 Vanderbilt
#18 Michigan @ #15 Utah
#17 Arizona @ #16 USC

Second Round: (Games the following week so essentially this weekend in the calendar)

KSU/Bama winner @ #8 Oklahoma
WMU/Miami winner @ #7 Texas A&M
BSU/ND winner @ #6 Ole Miss
Duke/BYU winner @ #5 Oregon
JMU/UT winner @ #4 Texas Tech
TU/Vandy winner @ #3 Georgia
MICH/UU winner @ #2 Ohio St.
UA/USC winner @ #1 Indiana

Then a bracket from there.

Yes I know it won't happen. But it should and if it did then the low level teams everyone is whining about would already be done by the week we're watching now. It also gives every top 16 seed a home playoff game before the bowls kick in. And home playoff games are awesome, well except if you're an OU or A&M fan. Ha.

Not that there's enough brain power in the committee room for this to register, but this game is exhibit A in why sorting by losses is stupid. Manny Diaz was right, Duke is better than Tulane.

Absolutely no need to add BOTH Tulane/JMU. Pick one if you feel the need. Imagine how good the 1st rd would be if you replaced those 2 teams with ND/Texas. We could have had ND vs Ole Miss and Texas vs Oregon. That's some damn good matchups the country would want to tune into. Not these joke of games.

Yeah. Ole Miss needs to slow it down and protect that lead. You never know when Tu fucking lane is going to come roaring back (also the score (41-3) is already such that it shows America what a clusterfuck the CFP board is.) Fuck you shitheads

They would have to eliminate the conference champion rule.  I think most here miss that all the committee does is rank the teams and then the rules the CFP Managers put in place and approve then sorts the rankings into the rules to give us the bracket.  So yeah there was a comment about sorting by losses, and the committee could do better with that in their rankings, BUT even if they did that, Tulane probably still here getting their ass whipped by somebody because that's the rules (which sort the 5 highest rated conference champions into autobid spots).

All the committee could have done to avoid JMU is rank Duke higher than them and then Duke and Tulane are in the playoffs.
