I could see Harbaugh taking a year off and doing TV if not retiring. He's 63, he has his Bowl, and he was there 18 years.

  • Popular Post

As his last official act as a Raven, he forced Pittsburgh to keep Tomlin. Truly a team player.

And his price will only go up while he has a full 12+ months to do his research. Just imagine the teams who could be wooing him as HC in 2027?

  • Dallas (LULZ....would Jerrah pay him? would Harbaugh even want to be there?)

  • KC (Reid's gonna be 68 w/ a damaged QB, depleted roster, and two other ascending teams in the AFC South. Would he want to face his brother 2X a year? The NFL hopes so)

  • Pittsburgh (Tomlin's been on his ninth live for half a decade; he fits the Steelers mode & watching their fans lose their minds would be a bonus)

  • Philly (Sirianni is hated more than he's appreciated; a quick bow out this year turns up the heat with a young team & a large window)

  • Detroit (Campbell's losing his luster post-Ben Johnson)

  • Miami (capri pants will NOT be required)

And then the rest of the dregs he'd be better off avoiding.

No. The end.

As if that Baltimore kicker didn’t already feel bad enough.

Harbaugh needed to go and so does Tomlin. No idea the last coach to be fired after the playoffs but Tomlin needs to be. Both are stale and both franchises need new blood. I'd say Pittsburgh much more than Baltimore. Since reaching the AFC championship game in the 2016 season, 9 years ago, Pitt has 0 playoff wins. Tomlin keeps getting praise of no losing seasons but how many of those they actually had a team who could make any noise in the playoffs? They also gave Cleveland their first playoff win since the 90s, which was led by Baker Mayfield. Baltimore missing a FG shouldn't negate the fact that they almost crumbled completely and lost the division. I guess we will see how they fare in the playoffs but I don't see them beating Houston.

I wonder if Buffalo is a possibility if they flame out early.

I don't think so. Their O has been mid at best because they don't have any decent WRs. I'd say that gives McDermott a pass but they also have an easier path to the AFC Championsip (Jax and then Denver.)

Well I’m not too sure KC is very worried about the AFC South

Becoming an NFL Head Coach even once is a lifetime annuity. you just enter the recycle machine. should be able to at least furnish two $10M+ job routines for yourself.

That's a tough one. Jackson and Allen are currently on a similar path: two dominant, unstoppable QBs in the regular season who can't win a SB. If Harbaugh can't get it done w/ Jackson would Buffalo owners think he could do it with Allen? The Bills' window is definitely shrinking at an alarming pace. They've got a new stadium about to open--not that they have to worry about a wishy-washy fanbase w/ the Mafia--and they're going to have some tough choices to make in the next year or two.

I can think of at least one team who doesn't have an opening, but would call anyways.

See above: Miami is interested.

My dream is Harbaugh replacing Harbaugh in LA.

Harbaugh will immediately #1 on every coachless team’s wish list.

Some teams like Miami might make a change to get Harbaugh. Lamar played shitty this year and coach paid for it. FO wanted him to replace his useless coordinators and he refused. He probably saw the landscape and said no to get fired. Some good gigs out there.

Have Jerry and Stephen Jones been fired yet?

When does aggy file suit on the Davis family for infringing upon their financial plans?

Disagree. They were awful and putting Mendoza on that team with a lame duck HC (whether fired next year or retires) seems the best way to fuck over your #1 draft pick - thrown the wolves by an inept coaching staff and then likely starting all over with a new staff and system in 2027.

Pair him in his first year with a young coach with an offensive background, along with Jeanty and Bowers, and you may be able to cook something up. Of course, you have to contend with LAC, DEN and KC in your division, but other teams have figured it out without relying on a 74 year old coach.

Naw they going to ruin Mendoza regardless. If his agent was smart he'd threaten to have Mendoza go back to college rather than play for that disaster of a franchise.

The Raiders have had EIGHTEEN different coaches since Tom Flores left in 1987, with Chucky and Art Shell each serving two tenures there. This will be their fifth coach since 2020.

And the Ravens will be hiring their fourth head coach ever since they moved to Baltimore in 96

Seeing this is why I believe the Steelers are the best ran sports franchise in the US. They don’t knee jerk their decisions.

Don't ask why I went down this rabbit hole a while back. The Browns move has always fascinated me. I always wondered how it worked techincally that Cleveland got to keep its name and history. As a technical matter the Browns franchise was "deactivated" and the Ravens were created as a new franchise, so their history begins in 1996. I hate that it was a unique situation, I think this should have always been the norm. Most notably, Houston should have been "deactivated," Tennessee should have been a new franchise, and the Oilers reinstated in 2002 with all of its history intact.

The Raiders are so shitty right now that any qb they draft this year and start is going to get David Carr'd.

Next to hiring him in the first place.

Ross should offer Harbaugh 1% of the franchise for every Super Bowl he wins as Head Coach.

IIRC they're all still being paid, too...

There was a time where I was super proud of the fact we had only 2 coaches ever on the Cowboys, and then Jerry had to let ego get in the way and fire Jimmy. All downhill from there. Fuck Jerry Jones.

Oh F me. The post was literally right above this. I suck at this today.

It's the Browns. They didn't win even when they did have Bill Belichick.

Yes I know it was the old Browns.

I would say that the Steelers are the best run sports franchise, but…
