Apparently I learned the wrong lesson from my church when I was growing up because they taught me this song and I took it to heart:

Jesus loves the little children
All the children of the world
Red, brown, yellow, black, and white
They are precious in his sight
Jesus loves the little children of the world

That's Real Jesus.

White Jesus ain't got time for that shit.

I haven't seen white people THIS flipped out about something since there were rumors of a pumpkin spice shortage back in '09.

There is one thing white people fear more than gays, socialism, abortion,  and immigrants. The suggestion that they’re equal to blacks

Sounds like some Satanic Progressive Church.

Where I exercise there are many TV's on and one has Fox.

Everyday on their chyron they list "Critics blast so and so" (usually a democrat but today it was Fauci and his book deal.

Who are these critics? They never name them...

The contrast is always funny. "Bill expected to pass the house" on one, "Storm threatens coast" on another, and then on Fox, "Biden Scandal Grows!".

pieces of fucking shit.  openly supporting Putin over Biden.  traitors.  all of them.  there's no telling what kompromat Vlad has on Hannity.

In fairness, Putin is schooling Biden and it sucks hard.  Putin is pushing us around without many visible consequences.  The hacks, Belarus, Ukraine and Biden’s response is to reward Putin with a summit that only benefits Putin.  It’s not good.

I mostly agree here. What are the options at this point?  Sanction the fuck out of them?  We can’t nuke them. I don’t think.

That's why we need to hack into as many accounts, building systems, etc., owned by the oligarchs who support Putin.  Factories and petroleum systems owned by these guys?  Same thing.  Cause a system to fail and burn down a villa or two, drain a few bank accounts, that sort of thing, and they'll start paying attention.

We are in a low-intensity war with Russia, and have been for some time.  It's long-past time to fight back.

Publicly shaming Putin and exposing his corrupt network would be a start.

Other things:  full embargo, demand the release of Navalny, expand NATO, expand Magnitsky sanctions, seize laundered money sitting in western banks.

Freeze western bank accounts of Russian oligarchs would be all it would take. Explain why not.

Exactly. WWII goes very differently if the Allies responded militarily to Hitler's invasion of Czechoslovakia. It's almost always better to respond to these assholes as soon as possible.

We should have responded to Russia's invasion of Ukraine by freezing every asset Putin and his oligarchs have and banning them from any western and western allied country at a bare minimum.

I wish nothing but pain and death on anyone associated w/ Fox News.  Die in a fucking fire, you scumbag cunts.

Imagine living your whole life until Fox News comes along in your 40’s or 50’s and thinking, “Finally! A news network that will tell me the truth!” Tell you what you want to hear is what you want, and that’s what they do.

I know a guy who actually uttered the phrase, “Fuck Walter Cronkite!” because of his reporting on the failure of America’s involvement in the Vietnam War. It wasn’t because he thought Cronkite was wrong. It was because Cronkite was reporting a truth he didn’t want to hear. That’s the Fox News audience in a nutshell.

This is clearly wrong, stupid, and dangerous but at least it’s a departure from the (also wrong, stupid, and dangerous) Nazi conflation of Jews and communists. It’s rare to see the American right depart from Nazi talking points these days.

This isn't really a departure. They hold this idea AND the idea that all Jews are socialists in their heads at the same time.

I mean, I can't even follow her "logic."  It's like she put on makeup and pearls, had a pre-interview briefing where she got her talking points from Marjorie Taylor Greene, then had a big fucking stroke and just vomited out this word salad of jewish socialist antisemitism socialism hate crimes democratic antisemitism Cuba socialists and communists are anti-jew.

Seriously, I'm concluding that her argument boils down to "People think jews are socialists, so when the Democratic Party talks in *favor* of socialist policies, they are actually making everyone say and do anti-semitic things."

You summed it up better than I did.  It's a fucking bat-shit-crazy (and wildly incongruent) belief system.

“National Socialism’s ideology is constantly shifting. It has certain magical beliefs - leadership adoration, supremacy of the master race - but is not laid down in a series of categorical and dogmatic pronouncements.”

'Being bid out of the labor market (by artificial intelligence) and it's a killer for people who need help the most.'  So, Art, I have a question. You say they are poor because they can't find work and paying them $15 an hour means they can't find work because they aren't 'qualified' (meaning deserving) for that. What part of starving while working do you find so appealing? Did you find yourself rooting against the Joads in Grapes of Wrath?

His only valid point is that AI is changing the labor market, but he's going about it in his usual wingnut trickledown the poor are loss leaders way.
