Mossad is very good at what they do,  but I don’t think that’s true. “They” may have been a leaking bucket but the operational security between Hamas and Iran is probably very tight, for them anyway.

Furthermore we can only guess what Mossad knew. And it’s possible to know things without knowing what they mean. Our own experience leading up to 9/11 is a good example of not putting pieces together and acting on information.

Well he did say there was a female pilot and what do you know TG2 did have a female pilot!

The United States did not build a drone manufacturing base in the middle of the the cave next to UBL lived, the level of intelligence access Israel had in Tehran up until last week went beyond anything ever seen, when they appointed the head of counter intelligence he was a Mossad asset, who then appointed other assets.

Honestly SAM coverage can be repeatedly beaten with US based satellite intelligence, but Iran could very well cut off that intelligence spigot if they are paranoid enough. That was the real clownshow that they started an unwinnable war and burned probably all their assets in the process.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Firstly, this would not have been under Mossad's purview. Second, there are heaps of evidence that Netanyahu's government was aware of Hamas' plans and did nothing, you can probably guess why. There have been dozens of articles written about this subject just by Israeli journalists alone.

How can you possibly have your head stuck this far in the sand?

If they did, that’s truly abhorrent. That said, most of what I’ve seen along those lines is evidence of the “911 was an inside job” variety.

So let me get this straight- you’re affronted that I call Hamas a terrorist organization and an Iranian proxy, but at the same time you’re of the opinion that the Netanyahu regime was aware of a coming terrorist attack by Hamas via their intel on Iran.  Therefore, I have my head in the sand.

It is not "my opinion", though it's very cute that you're attempting to frame it that way to discredit the point. Also, no one is "affronted" that you call Hamas a terrorist organization, the point was that while you [correctly] call Hamas a terrorist organization, you handwave away terrorism committed by nation-state actors simply by the virtue of them being nation-states. Not to mention the fact that these same nation-states are the ones that get to define what is and what isn't terrorism. Convenient, isn't it?

Also, you both demonstrated a complete lack of knowledge of what Hezbollah is and why it exists, and completely ignored the point about the goings on in Lebanon entirely. Very nice.

All that coupled with your speculation about what Mossad knew about the attack when anyone with even basic knowledge of how Israel operates would know that intelligence gathering with regard to Gaza & the West Bank and any counter-terrorism operations fall under the purview of Shin Bet.

In other words, you're talking out of your ass and seemingly operating on nothing but vibes, stereotypes, and whatever you hear from Western media talking heads. It's annoying.

The most successful military strikes in history, my ass.

Let's look at what the B-17 did in WWII you fucking idiot.

The biggest turning point in WWII, certainly the war in the Pacific, was the Doolittle Raid. And that was a fleet of 16 B-25 Mitchell's.

Yeah, I thought about that one as well.  Obviously, Doolittle was the Pacific Theater with his raid.  Without the B-17 the European Theater becomes much bloodier.

There were plenty of credible analysts saying that Netanyahu was supporting Hamas as a boogey man to justify the shit Israel does. I believe that although I can't put my hands on the sources. I just recall them as credible. Bibi is a monster and he's fighting to stay out of prison. I'm persuaded that he did wish for an attack from Hamas to take the heat off of him and let him seize Gaza.

The Gaza campaign is that of a monster. That said, I would strongly doubt a story that Bibi knew how inhuman the Hamas attack would be.

Anyways, that's how I remember it.

And the results speak for themselves.

There is no counter-argument to the fact that October 7th is the best thing to ever happen to Bibi's political career.  A criminal leader with eroding support was gifted the opportunity to be a "wartime leader," which he can extend indefinitely by ever-extending new maximalist goals in the war in Gaza, and now the war on Iran.  There is a very good chance that Bibi is functionally "leader for life," as Israel continues a forever war against Gaza....and Iran....and the Palestinians in the West Bank....and arab citizens in Israel...until he both establishes an entirely jewish Israel, including all of the territories, and full regime change in Iraq.  And if those take another 20 years to achieve, then gosh darn it, I guess that's how long Bibi needs to remain at the top (and remain out of prison).

So, yeah....Bibi absolutely actively supported Hamas and allowed October 7th to happen (he had real intel about it, he decided to stay vulnerable so the attack could happen and he could have all the reason he needs to remain leader for life).

Criminal autocrats are bad for humanity.  The Bibi, Putin, and Trump out front have been telling us for years, but we humans keep letting them have power.

Well sure:

1) The United States, the ethnically and culturally diverse two hundred year old secular republic that is the world’s economic and cultural center, for all of its flaws, has nothing in common the Islamic Republic of Iran, a 46 year old 3rd world pariah state.
2) Hezbollah and Hamas are terrorist organizations, Israel is a nation-state
3) Israel is not a proxy of The United States in Israel. Hamas and Hezbollah, with respect to October 7 and everything since are almost exclusively Iranian proxies.

Literally the only similarity is the acceptance of financial and military aid. it’s just an absurd analogy

just for the hell of it...

1 - both the us and the islamic republic were created while under the rule of autocrats - and the persians settled their ground ~2620 years before plymouth rock

2 - israel is a nation-state that is also a terrorist organization - the same way we are, the same way vlad is

3 - true: israel is not a proxy of the united states in israel; also true: israel is a proxy of the united states outside of israel; also true: the united states is a proxy of israel outside israel; unspoken - israel's status as a proxy of the united inside the united states - and the united states' status as a proxy of israel inside the united states - but i digress

Is there anyone on this board who would prefer serving in a high post in government where you had to constantly lie because that's what your boss does to having the story:

"Yea, I told the lying sack of shit to his face that I wasn't going along with his constant stream of bullshit. Fired me on the spot."?

The lowness of those appointed by and working for Donald Trump continually amazes me.

Exactly. The guy is such a sociopath that, in his mind, the only way this could have been a failed mission is because of the pilots. LOL!

I know I consider it a personal failure of the pilots that the bomb didn't completely destroy the infrastructure under a mountain.  They should have flown harder.

There should be an SNL skit where Trump orders the strike and everyone in the war room starts pantomiming an air attack on Iran.  Running around with their arms spread like wings and making whooshing sounds while others act out explosions and scream “Mercy, Trump!  Mercy!”  Then JD Vance speaks up to say, “Mr President.  Through your daring leadership, you have completely obliterated Iran’s nuclear program and ushered in a golden age of Middle East peace.”

Tulsi Gabbard raises her hand and says, “Wait… we are getting intelligence reports that we may n…”. JD cuts her off “SHUT THE FUCK UP, TULSI!!!  YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR ELEMENT!!”

Needs an ending.

The thing is is that they’re wholly unqualified for the jobs they hold so they dare not risk their positions by contradicting Dear Leader. Wtf else are they going to do that would pay as well if they left a cabinet job for which they’re horribly unqualified? That’s exactly why they were appointed in the first place.

This is very, very true. One of the key ways to secure their loyalty is their lack of options. It’s the best job these losers have ever had and ever could have.

Japan had already surrendered before that actually. The US killed civilians primarily to scare the USSR.
