A story about a pathetic man's downfall

The guy who built the "Whoop Stop" in Paige (devoted to all things aggy) went on to build a par three truly cow pasture pool 9 hole course named WhizGolf, next to it, complete with the opportunity to tour the portable sheds he's hawking.    He's a huge Trump supporter.

It's been fun over the years to watch it all die a gradual death.

Definitely spot on as to the country club/golf course scams

I think Trump owns most of the golf courses and some other properties.  Most of the hotels and other buildings worldwide with his name are licensing deals.

Used to have 3 huge pro-life billboards adjacent to the roadway. I guess those are gone now. is the mini bonfire still standing?

Winning isn't his goal.  The only reason he wants to win is to avoid prosecution, but if he can't win, he wants to burn down the whole party.

He's all about transactions and loyalty.  If the GOP rejects him, he'll punish them any way he can, whether it's siphoning off money from campaign donations or running third party and making sure they don't win.

Donald Trump has long insisted that the Ukraine war would have never happened if he were still president, going so far as to blame the “rigged election” on Russia’s unprovoked invasion while claiming he had the magic words to stop the fighting “immediately.”

During a radio interview with Fox News host (and longtime confidant) Sean Hannity on Monday, the twice-impeached ex-president finally revealed how he personally would have prevented the war. According to Trump, all he needed to do was let Russia “take over” parts of Ukraine.

Saying that Russia was going for the “whole enchilada” with Joe Biden as president, Trump added that Russia “took over nothing” while he was in the White House because Russian President Vladimir Putin “understood” that “he would have never done it.”

The former president then added: “That’s without even negotiating a deal. I could have negotiated. At worst, I could’ve made a deal to take over something, there are certain areas that are Russian-speaking areas, frankly, but you could’ve worked a deal.”

Later that evening, Hannity played excerpts of his “exclusive” interview with Trump on his primetime Fox News program, along with highlights of Trump’s bombastic speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference. Though Hannity aired the segment featuring the ex-president boasting that he could have stopped the war, he curiously omitted the portion where Trump revealed his plan.

i can't take any more disappointment
Over Half a decade later, obvious crimes go unpunished. Our legal system sucks shit and protects Dotards. Not the weakest among us, not the downtrodden, not the fairer sex or the historically marginalized among us. Dotards. Land of the fat, home of cowards.
I’ll hold it down on the ledge, please bring back some refreshments.

The real punishment is the exhausting explanation from lawyers on why it's right and just that trump face zero meaningful consequences, without any sort of critical thinking towards what message that sends to other eager and active fascists

No one's saying that, you cunt.

You're like a bad PI lawyer screaming my client is INJURED, there's DAMAGES, there must be liability, don't make me prove it though.

Critical thinking, indeed.

This is actually kind of interesting because Alvin Bragg seemed reluctant, for whatever reasons, to bring James' bank fraud case as a criminal case.  The facts here seem to be clearer as publicly revealed than the bank fraud case (we still have no credible evidence that Trump submitted his bullshit financials to secure a loan or insurance).

However, what I am reading is that it may be kind of a tenuous legal case.  Apparently, a conventional bribery case cannot be made here, so like with Cohen, they're going with an election law violation under NY state law.  That is, the payment of hush money was a benefit to the Trump campaign and not reported and an unlawful campaign contribution. https://www.textise.net/showText.aspx?strURL=https%3A//www.nytimes.com/2023/03/10/nyregion/trump-potential-indictment-criminal-charges.html#site-content

Oh my bad, yeah you're right - trump et al did NOTHING wrong or even prosecutable and there's zero evidence in the public domain that would say otherwise. Gimme a fucking break lol.

Literally in the post after this you're AGAIN elucidating about how "there's not much of a legal case..." Like are you not aware that the sum totality of your contribution to this thread is an exhaustive legal analysis of how you think trump et al shouldn't be prosecuted or punished solely because they used mob tactics in their communications?

Edit: not sure why I'm picking up negs on this, twice has been quite unequivocal that there's nothing that we could prosecute any of them on

Just go fuck your own face.

I explain the process so that people don't foolishly get their hopes up on longshots.  I don't express an opinion on it and I certainly don't say what you bolded.

You, on the other hand, bleat like a cunt about how it's all so wrong. "Evidence in the public domain" is not evidence admissible in court and therefore it's not evidence at all.

Your emotional bleating is not going to change anything.  I hope it makes you feel better.

I get the frustration.  Lawyers are inured to it.  It takes three years, pretty much minimum, to get a US Patent.  One year to get a fucking trademark registration.

It takes a couple of years to get to trial in a civil case, minimum.  More if there's any complication to it.  It take a year or more to get to trial in a criminal case, even with "speedy trial acts."  And that includes no preparation time.

The government is intentionally hamstrung in criminal cases, so it takes more time to develop them than a civil case, except where the offense is committed in the presence of an officer or with an extensive and undeniable paper trail.

I want to see Trump prosecuted and suffering consequences about as badly as anyone here.  I also understand why it's not already done, but also why it is still happening most likely.  I have little insight on the political or policy reasons prosecutors may or may not bring charges, so speculate away.  But I can give some insight on the legal reasons a prosecution is more difficult than it seems on the face of it.

No right I get all that, I'm saying the real-world outcome from that meticulous harumphing is that we do not meaningfully impede the fascists RIGHT NOW WHILE THEY ARE DOING HARM and they are allowed to advance their outcome unimpeded. Trump is running for president again after he lost and tried to use the levers of power to rewrite that record in 2020.

That happened. I'm sorry that there's not enough admissible evidence to make your brain believe it happened, but it sure fucking did. And while he doesn't wield the levers of government anymore, he still controls the conservative media apparatus and the brain share of hateful chuds everywhere.

We will continue to see more escalating culture war fuckery like anti-LGBT/"woke" bills in support of trumpism. But that's ok because we harumphed real good to slap trump et al on the wrist! And after a positively expedient five year court cycle I'd bet lol

Fucking fuck you.

I didn't say it didn't happen, but in the legal world you have to PROVE it.  With admissible evidence.  Not twatter posts.

Got it, so you do think it happened but there's no evidence and no legal case to pursue? My apologies for the misunderstanding, the incongruity of it confused me is all

I didn't say that either.  There are cases, they are being pursued.

But what you think is a crime committed in broad daylight is not so easily proven as such.

I'm not saying he's a bad dancer, I'm not saying I'm a good dancer.  But even if worship the man and I know many people who do...somebody just admit that at some point, somebody should have said, "Mr. President, the double ghost-jerkoff dance isn't your best move.  You've got such great moves, tremendous moves...maybe try something different because you're so fantastic?"  But nope, he just grips the shafts even harder and does his jam.

what a fucking dork. all of them, but especially him. the paragon of masculinity to some. amazing

Yeah, for all the worshipping and idolization of Trump.  I hate to say it because nothing more annoying than a Monday morning quarterback, but in hindsight we now know what he tapped into and allowed people to express and proclaim.  Not right, but I get it.  But the one truly, puzzling feature of him is he lets you be proud of being stupid, disconnected, racist, cruel, and naive.  Got it.  Message received.  Can totally now see why that is attractive the previously unengaged.  But the whole "He's such a man's man!"  That's what I'll never get.  Tell me I'm a woke socialist pussy and Trump is a real American.  Fine.  Not remotely correct, but I get why you think it.  But to watch that glop of shit who has never caught a fish, thrown a football, drank a beer, carried a tune, kissed a woman he didn't pay or procreate, hiked a trail, changed an air filter, pitched a tent, or parallel parked.  I'm not gonna get a reality TV show based on my manliness, but I'm pretty fucking good at a buncha "manly" shit.  And yeah, he grew up rich in New York, but still it was the 60's and 70's...those guys just accidentally figured out some manly shit.  He is literally the least masculine human to ever occupy the Oval Office and his worshippers think he's Bear Grylls with a Labia Necklace on his neck.  Trump is less manly than James Buchannan and that dude openly sucked cock in the Rose Garden.

was having a taco infused daydream wherein I dreamt that tfg hopped a plane to Moscow with the rest of stollen classified docs and our boys had to take his plane down before he reached Russian airspace.....

so anyway, I was reading the new E Jean Carroll news and with the other potential indictments looming when does he hop Trump Force One and start making his getaway?

Inasmuch as I never or rarely offer defenses, they won't be very useful.  But go ahead, they'll probably buy.

In typical lawyer fashion you’re thinking too far ahead. That is more a lawsuits for idiots explanation of all their current legal troubles. For the actual defense I’m going recommend the Dave Chapelle white guy defense of “Sorry officer, I didn’t know I couldn’t do that”, works every time.
