Quote

Texas A&M University was ranked number eight with a 2018 endowment of $13.5 billion. It is richer than 73 countries and on par with the West Bank and Gaza’s wealth.

That’s awesome. What’s the opposite of a humble brag? A hubris self-own?

That the aggys claim to be “the wealthiest public university” is criminal fraud. They receive a distribution from the UT endowment because they are a branch of UT.

That distribution goes to the A&M system.

Only because of the racist nature of the aggy culture they do not recognize that Prairie View is every bit as entitled to the UT branch endowment funding as A&M  College Station.

The people of Texas deserve better than Texas A&M.

It's funny that one of their sick culture's main descriptions about Texas is that we are "all about perception/appearances" suggesting that UT is not what it claims to be on all levels. I never thought of applying that to things outside of their bent thinking about their football program and "brand."

The way they represent themselves is thoroughly false in almost every utterance and, apparently, official release.

Rather amazing that the UT endowment has so much money a branch college can be wealthier than entire nations.

Of course they give nothing from their branch endowment to the kids at Prairie View.

Because, well, you know why not.

Less and less.  They don’t fund near as much percentage wise as they used to do.  Also, it’s political suicide to cut our budget because of football.

Agreed.  This isn't the mid 90's when the SWC broke up and Ann Richards and Bob Bullock were pushing buttons to make sure Tech and Baylor secured spots at the table with the formation of the Big 12.  Thus  they made sure either by threat  (IE funding) or arm twisting,  A&M and UT bowed to the their wishes.  During that period, A&M was really pressed on because a select group of minority legislators was using funding as a tool to persuade A&M to accept the name changes for their south Texas system schools.

The majority of funding for day to day athletic operations comes from student fees and revenues generated from TV, conference revenue sharing, corporate sources, Alumni/booster gifts, merchandise, etc.  The state is prohibited by law from directly contributing to athletics although loop holes exit when it comes to facilities.   Some have gotten creatives and had new field houses, gyms, etc built for their athletic programs via state appropriations, but have them designated as academic facilities too with classrooms attached to them.

There's a thread about Herbstreit picking us for the playoffs. Next year is a better bet for us to contend for the championship.

On the long list of the delights of becoming the national monster and winning the big taco again, winning it in the year the Aggies had penciled in themselves would be top ten.

A&M has always treated their system schools like crap.  I've seen this from both as a student and now a parent (one kid attends a UTSA).

I attended one the "system" schools as an undergrad when it changed it's name as  to reflect it was part of the A&M system although it had been part of the system for five years before then.   One of the carrots the state legislators who were pushing for the name change was A&M would start writing checks for stuff almost immediately for new buildings, degree programs, etc.    Many of us who were opposed to the name change and warned alumni money would dry up overnight were laughed at and not given the time of day and even the aggy BOR wasn't on board at telling these same clowns on the legislature it wouldn't happen.  But they had a gun held to their head and the name changed happened.   That gun was of A&M's own making in some ways because the reason they took on the south Texas schools ( at the time were Laredo State, Corpus Christi State and Texas A&I) was to satisfy minority enrollment numbers for their system which lacked until then.     Anyhow, NONE of that money they promised came from the A&M bank account via the permanent fund until maybe a decade or two later to present and even now they act like a King's court giving out rations to the  little people to keep them satisfied.   Most of the money spent on the campuses has come from state appropriations which are blessed by the aggy BOR to make it look like they give a shit.

The only branch school A&M likes is Galveston because it's a  direct extension of aggy-Collie Station meaning many of their students  get Collie Station degrees .       They kind of like Tarleton State too only because they never changed the name of that school and most people don't have a clue they are affiliated with Collie Station.    Anyhow, when they changed the names of the south Texas schools as well as West and East Texas State,  aggy was all butt hurt because they didn't want their precious name watered down.   Funny thing is most of the students at Texas A&I and East and West Texas State didn't want the name change either,  but thought it was stupid the current aggy and former aggy students were so stuck up on their name thinking it was like an Ivy League school or something.

UT has always been more proactive with their branch schools.    It's easier to transfer credits to and from the system schools to the mother ship.    They collaborate much better than aggy as far as letting a system school get niche and running with it.   For example, the cyber security program at UTSA would not be the recognized program it is today under the aggy umbrella because aggy would have wanted it first on their campus and would have found a way to make it a cyber security lite degree at aggy- San Antonio.  They do that non sense with their engineering and ag programs.   Either aggy get's it first or none of the branch schools can have it or they can only have crumbs after they get it.

The "aggy experience" focuses on cultural indoctrination, not education. That is why not only every A&M system school, but also the A&M flagship campus offers a second rate education.

Just watch how they manage their RELLIS campus. They will admit substandard students, give them a substandard education, and congratulate themselves for "doing the Lord's work."

The aggys fraudulently claim to be a fabulously wealthy university, and the cradle of the nation's CEOs, with an incredibly wealthy alumni base. The people of Texas need to sever A&M's status as a branch of UT, cut the ags a check from the PUF for $7B, and let their alumni start actually having to contribute to their fucked up school. Next, make either TSU or Prairie View a component of the UT system and take the annual income from the lands that was previously dedicated to the dumbfuck rednecks and direct that money to the new UT HBCU institution.

Let aggy wither, fail, and die.

The people of Texas deserve better than Texas A&M.

For the ten thousandth time--at least---Ann Richards had absolutely nothing to do with Baylor joining the B12. Not one goddamn thing. She had little love for her alma matter & the rape enablers in Waco don't sing her praises by any stretch. This too commonly repeated mistake makes me ragey.

Bullock absolutely worked the backroom deals to ensure Tech and Baylor found a landing spot in the B12 (along with David Sibley, Pete Laney, and Rob Junnell). Ann didn't give 2 shits about any of it.

This right here! I also attended a system school and aggy gave and still gives us nothing but grief. I keep receiving emails to "donate now to the system." Yeah, not helping pay for Jimbo's highway robbery contract.

Giada. Had she been an aggy, I would have completely reconsidered my position.
But she wasn’t, not even close, and we still wonder how any of those dumbfucks ever fall to the depths of sticking their dicks into those worthless overweight embarrassments to the state of Texas that they define as " aggy wimmun."

explaining to aggy how to deal with the 'numbing effects of alcohol'
https://12thman.com/news/2019/8/23/football-drinking-responsibly-at-kyle-field-faq.aspx
"A mix of draft beer and wine will be available at concession areas and portable bars throughout the stadium, except at the 350 level on the east side which services the student section second deck."

A mix of draft beer and wine?

aggy mixing a concotion of this

Did you watch it? Austin was called out along with Tuscaloosa and Gainesville as the last white only player havens in the nation.

I am actually shocked they didn't mention our 1969 national championship team was the last all white squad.

It was the last all white squad to win the NC.  It was far from the last all white squad.  That may be what you meant, but it's not clear.

Apparently all that practice in skewing online polls is beginning to pay off for aggy.  They are one step closer to their idea of nirvana.

Quote

While College Station received the most votes in Waffle House's Twitter poll on which city should receive a visit from the chain in September, it was announced Saturday morning all three cities won.

According to the official Twitter for Waffle House, the chain will visit the Clayton W. Williams Jr. Alumni Center on the Texas A&M campus from noon to 2 p.m. Sept. 4. Waffle House will also be visiting San Antonio and Oxford, Mississippi.

In a poll posted early Friday, Waffle House asked which city should receive a visit. Out of more than 69,000 votes cast, College Station received 44%, with San Antonio receiving 34% and Oxford garnering 22%. The chain announced early Saturday that they "couldn't choose just one city" to visit.

Btw San Antonio, when you have Jim's, why would you want a waffle house?

Of course, being aggys, not one of them has even considered taking the Waffle House concept and building on it, creating something unique to College Station and actually more impressive than just a Waffle House.

Living out of state, I need some help with the acceptable nomenclature.

When asked  about Texas A&M, do we explain it is where the state of Texas sends its mentally retarded for a certificate type vocational education, or is where the state of Texas sends its intellectually disabled for a certificate type vocational education?

Seeing how it is football season, I will inevitably get a number of questions after people see the crowd shots of the aggy games on tv. Best to be prepared in advance.

You go too far.  It is an above average school that has slipped.  Stick to making fun of them being some of the biggest liars around who deify shitty coaches until they turn on them
