cameras in every classroom, entry point and hallway…have more than one fat security guard walking around the school…have a security center with active monitoring of cameras, make every gawd damn door accessible only with a card reader…when some shit goes down they at least know where the fuck the gunman is and possibly have an eye in the room if the shooter forgets there’s a camera watching. Yes, like a jail.

That’s where we are, we need to make the schools safer, sensible gun control WILL NOT HAPPEN, because muuuuuh gunzzz!

Yeah cameras covering every inch of our country is definitely the only solution, and won’t get any push back from anyone for any reason.

I’d much rather have no privacy and sleep with my cuddly semi automatic weapon of choice - I’m partial to shotguns.

maybe I’m just a weirdo.

Go ahead.  Put cameras in every classroom as long as we can then show Karen and Chad how much a fucking asshole their kids are to teachers and other kids on a daily basis.

Won't matter. My school has cameras in all hallways and the exterior. With nice high def color pictures.

We've showed video to parents showing their kid destroying school property, right on video clear as day. The response was "you're wrong. That's not my kid, my kid wouldn't do that."

Single person entry through HESCO defense barriers. Take away loading docks and every fire exit. Wal Mart sized vaults where only two people can shop for Dale Earnhardt merch at a time. Belt fed mk 19 grenade launchers mounted on each shopping cart. Cashiers with shoulder pivoting laser missiles like the predator had. Might as well give them masks with the predator dreds as well, because come on, that shit looks fucking dope. Door greeters are allowed to shove C-4 packs up people's asses. Trauma units next to the LensCrafters. Bakery required to have Wayne Lapierre's face on every cookie and birthday cake. Every motorized fatty scooter fully up armored where only the head pokes out Dukakis style.
It's time to get serious and take retail back.

I’m listening…..

My favorite was about 5 years ago. Kid was being disruptive and disrespectful. Wife kicked him out of class. This is a 3A high school, getting kicked out of class means you report straight to the office. On his way out, kid says “ you’re just mad I won’t let you suck my dick”. In the parent conference the next day the mother says to my wife “What did you do to him to make him say that?”. Fucking people these days are goddamned ridiculous. And the athletic director couldn’t understand why my wife still stepped down even after they offered her a 37% raise.

Something I thought about today.  Did you know you cant carry a personal firearm on a military base?  I don't just mean Joe Q. Public, I mean errbody.  This isn't a general policy for the logistics clerks on Fort Hood, I mean this extends to our most highly trained Delta operators on bases like Bragg.  Even if you live on base in housing or the barracks. You cant even store weapons in your living quarters.  For those that aren't tracking, I'm not talking about an AR, I mean pistol, shotgun, etc.  You have to register all weapons with the MPs, and then have those weapons stored with your unit armorer if you live on base.  To use a shooting range on base, you have to again, register the weapon with the MPs, carry that weapon in locked storage in your trunk, and go to the range, finish your shooting, and then get the fuck back off base (or return it to the armorer for those that live on base). You don't get to drive to burger king and grab a bite with a weapon in your vehicle.  I wont even get into all the hoops you have to jump through to access actual military weapons.

The most highly trained people we have in the use of weapons aren't trusted to store a pistol in their house, or carry one in their vehicle while on a military installation.  Doesn't matter if they are an 18 year old private or a 40 year old highly decorated green beret.  I would assume its very similar for police stations wrt to the carrying of firearms in the building.  Its beyond odd that our most trained weapon users have stronger gun control policies than the public.

My post in video form essentially with some extra good takes thrown in.

Good news, y'all!

Still don’t understand why Daniel Rodriguez, Uvalde PD Chief of Police, allowed Uvalde School Police Chief, Pete Arredondo, to control incident command for this. There was a major fuck up in waiting time but there’s no reason the school police dept Chief should be in control of a situation like this while Uvalde PD is also involved.

Key? Key?
You have a lot of fucking keys. They’re called firearms. Your shoot the fucking lock assembly 4-5 times, it’s done.
Get to the shooter. Engage, engage, engage. The fucking former police chief on the news a few minutes ago said exactly that. You move forward, you attack, you engage. You do not disengage. Your job is to save lives. Even at the cost of your own.
Cops are worthless. Never ever forget that.

You would like to think they used some of that 40% of the budget to buy a breaching shotgun or 2.... But I guess they do t look as cool in the SWAT team photo

Interesting, sounds like @4th and 5 was right. This tweet confirms the everything on video:

Guys, it's Texas/America 2022.  Whatever the story or issue is.....know that it's actually much, horrifically much, worse than anyone first thought.  By the time this is fully understood, there won't be a single element of this story that won't make you want to puke/send you into a rage.

So they tried to claim the teacher propped open the door, and video and her statements show otherwise.

And Uvalde PD/ISD are clamming up and won't talk to the Texas Rangers.

Oh, and don't forget this -- according to JD Vance, who will likely be a senator soon, the reason for this shooting is.........porn, which we must ban.

If you dropped the entire universe's supply of both "stupid" and "awful" into a blender on high, you still wouldn't end up with as shitty a cocktail as is being blended up for us.

You sound like one of them "defund the police" commie libtards.

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord, and we will BACK THE BLUE!  What you gotta say 'bout that, commie?  People like you not supporting our hero police ENOUGH are why these things happen!  Why, if the state hadn't spent all its money on CRT materials for elementary school classrooms, we probably coulda afforded to train these brave heroes, but we couldn't, because Austin defunded its police and lemme say some more CRT stuff, oh, and trans stuff!

Nope, not at all. There are good ones. This group is not one of them.

Police knew there were still kids alive at 12:13 p.m.

https://abcnews.go.com/US/full-victims-video-appears-show-texas-911-dispatchers/story?id=85077976

Quote

Video obtained by ABC News, taken outside Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, as last week's massacre was unfolding inside, appears to capture a 911 dispatcher alerting officers on scene that they were receiving calls from children who were alive inside the classroom that the gunman had entered -- as law enforcement continued to wait nearly an hour and a half to enter the room.

"Child is advising he is in the room, full of victims," the dispatcher can be heard saying in the video. "Full of victims at this moment."

An ABC News analysis of the video shows that was at approximately 12:13 p.m. -- about 40 minutes after the gunman entered the school.

MORE: 'It was the wrong decision': Did police in Uvalde ignore their own training?

"Is anybody inside of the building at this...?" the dispatcher asked.

Minutes later, the dispatcher says again: "Eight to nine children."

Virtually everything they've told us has been a lie.

Cops may do good things but they are not good. It's like saying a mobster is good because he does favors to those who reward him. Cops do good acts all the time when it suits then but corruption and violence are so bred into American policing that there cannot be room for actual goodness. Goodness is ground out.

Uvalde ISD Police Chief is no longer in his job.  Thank goodness!!  It only took 126 voters in a town of 16,000 to remove him from his job.  Just shows you how voters really can impact change.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2022/jun/01/uvalde-school-police-chief-pete-arredondo-sworn-in

The Uvalde school district police chief, Pedro “Pete” Arredondo, who authorities say erroneously ordered officers to wait outside the Robb elementary classroom where a gunman killed 21 last week, has been sworn into the Texas community’s city council.

Arredondo, 61, won a seat on Uvalde’s city council on 7 May, 17 days before 19 students and two teachers were shot dead at Robb’s campus. A swearing-in ceremony for him and other elected members of the council had been set for Tuesday – the public event was cancelled “out of respect” for families burying slain loved ones, though Arredondo and the others privately took their oaths of office, Uvalde’s mayor, Don McLaughlin, said in a statement

Ummmm.....he's not out of his job as police chief.  The school district is not the city, it's a different employer, so he can hold both positions and as I understand, he still does.

Because this timeline.  Incompetence, stupidity, and flat-out malevolence are not failings -- they are traits to be celebrated, and people with such traits are to be elevated.  That's how we do shit in Texas and America in this new century, and don't you forget it.

This notion of incident command is not how it works, or should work, in this situation. County and state law enforcement who were present were trained to engage in an active shooter situation. They already have their orders. State law enforcement officers at the scene who stood down in the midst of this active shooter situation may face discipline. They have no obligation to defer to a school district police chief in this situation.
