Dear God no. Godfather I and II, Sergio, Heat Dog Day Afternoon...hell, Cruising shit all over SoaW.

In terms of Pacino's acting performance? Not sure it gets better than SoaW.

How bad of a selection can it be if he won Best Actor for it.

Think most consider it more of a lifetime achievement award for SoaW.  But yea, it's still a pretty damn good performance.

Worst for Al:  Gigli?

Tom Hanks:

Best:  Saving Private Ryan (Forrest Gump very close 2nd)

Worst:  Bonfire of the Vanities

Oh, and Tom Cruise wasn't bad in Interview with the Vampire, OP.  For those that read the book, he was actually pretty spot on.  Brad Pitt was pretty terrible in it though.

Best: Adaptation
Worst: Peggy Sue Got Married

A pretty good movie, but Cage was horrible. We’re supposed to believe prime Kathleen Turner ends up marrying this whiny dude? Maybe he was worse in Knowing.

100% agree on Vampire. Cruise was perfect as Lestat and had a great performance.

Pitt was horribly mis-cast and was not good. I always thought Jude Law would have been perfect for Louis.

Another great Cruise performance that doesn’t get enough credit was as Vincent in Collateral.

Nah leo a beast

best : shutter island

worst: none. Leo a beast

Watch this scene and tell me this is a good performance- in contrast to Pete Postlethwaite, who plays it masterfully.

Agree on Pitt in Interview With A Vampire. I don’t think he’s a natural as an actor, and has gotten better with age and experience. He was still pretty green back then.

His best performance is Fight Club.

12 Monkeys over Fight Club.  Was also great in True Romance
