You’re smart enough to find it. You don’t need me to do your work for you.

Why are you okay with them saying this is an actor and not the real Fetterman?

We’re talking actual pubs or guys on a 4chan thread?  I’ve seen it twice, your post, and a text message of an ever so slightly less unfortunate looking guy that resembled Fetterman.  But he was wearing a collared shirt in lieu of a tailored jersey, so pretty clear deep fake.

I’m as chill as they come when it comes to dress/hair codes, but this strikes me as an oddly elitist move by Fetterman. Millions of Americans are required to adhere to dress guidelines of some sort. That a rich guy can’t be bothered enough to put on a pair of pants and a shirt doesn’t make sense to me.

The Representative screaming the loudest about John Fetterman's manner of dress showed revenge porn on the floor of the House.

GTFO.

And she should have been censured for doing so, but that doesn't excuse Fetterman dressing like he's headed to play a pick-up game in the park.

I'm not sure why it's even controversial to suggest he should dress more appropriately.

Yes, I agree the GQP members of congress are abhorrent humans, but that has nothing to do with whether or not Fetterman owns a pair of pants.

I have no idea why this matters to you so much.  It's so inconsequential.  Lobby to change the rules, I guess.

I remember the old days when we only had to worry about Jim Traficant's toupee...

Toupe over denim on denim.  Maroon skinny tie with the eagle lapel pin.  How did anyone else ever get any pussy?

Aww shit y'all.  Susan Collins is showing grave concern about the gravamen of not wearing suits.  You know AFTER she had two chances to put a fascist coup leader out to pasture.  Priorities.  She has them.

If she's wearing a bikini tomorrow I predict there won't be a quorum.

Please @jimmyjazz I've seen enough of your posts to know that if Fetterman had a R next to his name you'd be all over it.  If you want to be a hypocrite, that's your prerogative, but don't act like you don't understand.

It is the fucking rule.  Chuck Schumer is just on enforcing it.

No one wants to see Susan Collins in a bikini.

It 100% is.

To be honest, this is way outside a CR thread, it's really more for the menswear thread, or even a thread about the meaning and psychology of dress and dress codes.

another way to think about this...his personal 'style' hasn't changed since he was AG in PA...and he was elected to the senate by PA voters...so if PA voters don't care what he wears, why should i?

i mean there's literally millions of Americans absolutely appalled that Texans keep inflicting Ted Cruz's smarmy fuckface on the nation...but he is who Texans* want so too bad. i mean *barf*...but yeah, it's their call.

*surly liberal cabal excepted, of course

I think he should wear a suit personally. Hell, I think everyone should unless you are a construction worker. But while I disagree with his decision on attire he more than outweighs that with his other attributes.

Tops and tails! Spats and canes. And we should require ambassadors of foreign lands to dress in national garb, as if they were singing dolls at the "It's a Small World After All" ride

As an aside, you haven't lived until you've done Small World on acid.

How about if I watched Dark Shadows outtakes for hours on opioids while recovering from getting a tumor the size of a small baboon sliced out of my guts? Also, there was no screen in the room so I watched it on the ceiling. I had that power for a few days.

Probably equal to the point in the ride where the pirates of the Caribbean fire their broadside if I had to guess

Manchin losing is likely going to flip control back to the GOP but you know what? Fuck that guy. I’m so tired of him

TBH folks like Manchin do more to hold up progress than anything any of the republicans do. He can unilaterally hold up and steer democratic party policy outcomes, and he's not doing it to make the public at large better. If he were to lose his seat to republicans it would at least break the logjam and snap people out of lazily believing that Manchin is on "our" side

Normally I would say this come back is overplayed.  But in this instance it really feels appropriate for anyone obsessing on this stuff.

Eh, if it was anything but clothing I may agree. But if you just on the spot made me say the first thing that comes to mind about Boomers, I can almost guarantee the words out of my mouth would be "slovenly dressed". As a Gen X I realize that I am throwing rocks in a glass house, but from Millennials on people are a shitload better put together than the sweatshirt generation.

This is where I'm at. I generally support decorum but his voters are his bosses and if they don't care neither should we. Also, I used to think of the legislative chambers as noble places deserving of decorum, but that died many years ago, so who gives a fuck.
