Just as I was starting to feel bad about my life this hits like a bolt of lightning that things aren’t that bad!  Thanks.

Some peoples lives are aspirational, some are a cautionary tale. Mom is at the casino gambling with my wife right now while I’ve got dad duties praying he doesn’t shit his pants. It happens twice a day. Just hoping today it’s not on my watch.

Washington's best wins this bowl season:

Utah (14-7 L vs Northwestern)

Oregon State (40-8 L vs ND)

Arizona (38-23 W vs OU)

Oregon x 2 (Currently trail Liberty 6-3 )

Washington's schedule looking mighty suspect so far.

This is funny. Guy in a Bama shirt cheering hard for lsu and asking score on the Tennessee game so he can root for them. Just asked me if Texas is officially in the sec now that it’s January 1st. Told him not until spring sports are over. He got sad.
SEC honk at bowl time is so dumb.

If ya' missed it....

I said yesterday that this dude is just different. Some call it a “wake up call”, others call it “finding a why” and this dude has it.

Sark wants this shit. And he deserves it. To overcome substance abuse, being out of work, getting back into it and having massive setbacks, the guy gets culture and these players love him for it.

Texas - infinity Washington - 7

I realize opinions vary on this common dilemma, but wondering how early is too early to start drinking for a 7:45ish kick?  Have to factor in that holiday obligations include a mountain of jambalaya and hot sauce for an early dinner with leftover Salt Lick BBQ in the fridge for a late night chaser.

A one-dimensional offense and mediocre defense is a terrible game plan against the Longhorns.

They are not a one dimensional offense. You’ll act flabbergasted when they play, but you are willfully ignoring that they play a lot like sark does and that’s a full hand to deal with

Question - has any team beaten Alabama twice in the same season?  I tried looking it up but most stuff was about OU, Auburn, and Georgia.

Would be an interesting side story in a Texas/Bama NCG.

“Alabama isn’t the same team they were in December.”

I’ve watched them a lot, thanks. And everyone we play, including the best rb’s in the nation, have their run game neutralized.

How many times would a team have played them twice?  There was 2011 LSU and no they didn't do it.  There was 2021 Georgia, also no dice.  Not sure when else it has happened historically.

I'm not drinking a lot today but if I was, I'd probably start about an hour before Bama/Mich kick.

I'd start a hour after i woke up

I don't like being totally hammered when big games start.

Obviously I've done that plenty of times in the past but I've found that it's not the best combo and I don't remember the game as well.

I started drinking like an hour or so before the Bama game earlier this season and then I got hammered after the game. It worked well.

I mean if I was in NOLA then yeah I'd start earlier.

I thought we were supposed to get one with a burnt endz sub, but maybe not. Or a koozie, or something. Dunno, guess not.

Not sure why so many pundits are picking Washington. You’d think a close match up would be at least split. Doesn’t make a bit of difference. We’re gonna shit stomp Washington and they’re gonna pick against us again in the championship game.

I had a decent amount last night at a friend's house, think I'm waiting until 4th quarter of the Rose Bowl and slowly build from there.

Last couple of years, my expectations have been below reality. The difference has been coaching. Our teams have improved as the season went on.

Say what you will about Tceh and Great Value Oklahoma being lesser teams, the way we played was no accident. This team was firing on all cylinders a month ago.

Make no mistake, Washington is an amazing football team with seasoned, talented players and a top notch staff. They have fewer weaknesses than Alabama this year; their receivers are better and faster than our disciplined but slow secondary.

But nobody's faced the pair of Sweat and Murphy until they've faced them. Our front 7 in general was turned from a weakness into a strength by a great staff. And on offense, we've got weapons all over the field and an OL that's adequate. And then there's special teams...

It's shaping up to be a very competitive game between two great teams. If Ewers doesn't throw the ball to any purple jerseys, I think we win.

That’s a big if.  Evers had that terrible pick in the 3q of OSU.  This will be his best game, says the tea leaves.
