It's kinda funny watching liberals bemoan the fact that they are pussies that won't do anything when their rhetoric actually meets the road.

You have the 2A. Use it as you see fit.

Fuentes and the groypers make up a huge chunk of the votes Trump got in 2024. If things continue on this trajectory they are going to want to challenge Israel supporting MAGAs with America First candidates. They are likely to be violent if/when elections don't happen

it's just...the stupidest shit every single day.  negotiate my own healthcare? wtf are you talking about?

I went to the Dr yesterday. My Doc said I would be better off financially with a catastrophic plan and paying cash.

I told her I'd be better off financially without a wife and kids.

We're both right.

I remember having a window after graduation, but before working, when I needed some coverage.  I bought the cheapest, high-deductible plan available through Texas Exes.  I referred to it as my "if I get hit by a bus plan," because that's all I would use it for.  Just avoided the doctor for those 6 months, and I was young and healthy so it all worked out.

So many people - including many with families - are about to be fucked.

And an entire political party is okay with it, even though even their supporters say "no, see, we'd actually like healthcare that both provides healthcare and doesn't expose us to bankruptcy."  But no worries...99% of those people will keep voting for the people delivering this smooth buttfucking, because they heard someone speaking spanish in the kitchen of a restaurant.

I thought I read that no GOP seater greater than r+6 fell in VA a few weeks ago, so if I had to guess, right now? I think everything from r+8 is possibly in trouble.  If Nividia doesn't print after hours today and the market sells off 2+% tomorrow, I think the base is Everything GOP+10 is shakey and the trendlines are getting worse for the Republicans.

If we do really get to GOP +15 seats are in trouble, the Senate is going to look real interesting. AK, ME, NC, OH, and IA will be in deep trouble, with KY, KS, MT, and possibly SC or AL coming into play. I won't believe TX is going to flip until the Democrats can win literally anything statewide, even with Ken Paxton on the ticket.

Keep in mind that a healthy chunk of MAGA were not consistent voters prior to 2016 (and some of them are far too obsessed with the PizzaGate/Epstein stuff), and toss in Trump fumbling the Epstein Files, Mike Johnson fumbling the House vote, Thune letting Johnson get caught off guard, and then you have people like Nick Fuentes declaring MAGA dead, etc., etc.  None of this is going to drive people to the polls for the Rs.

And plenty of the MAGA types have been harmed by Trump's policies (tariffs, trade wars, etc.).  Even if they don't outright denounce it, they aren't going to be enthusiastic about voting.

And Trump's not on the ballot.

Can you imagine the public reaction if Barack Obama had snapped at a female reporter “quiet, piggy”?  He would literally have been killed.

Bro. Chill.

He is Black.

Clinton could have said it. Hell, he should have said it.

I'm not as worried about the Dems losing the midterms as I am worried that the midterms won't take place.  You know Trump will desperately try to manufacture a crisis that allows him to institute some form of martial law and delay the vote.  They've pretty much told us this.  Will it work?  I have no idea, but I also don't trust this DOJ and SCOTUS to ever do the right thing if it hurts Trump and the Republicans.

Correct. He told us this is what he is going to do. When he says he's going to do foul shit, believe it.

"We'll have it fixed so good, you'll never have to vote again."

Corporations are lining up to give him big money. Randomly. They know something we don't.

Is it still illegal to not have health insurance?

And ICE/CBP raids in their neighborhoods. One heartening thing has been how much normal people fucking HATE that shit.

Jesus Christ, this. People love tough immigration talk when it's about some nameless, faceless criminal in another state. What ICE/CBP is doing to good people in their communities, is pissing people the fuck off. This is a bigger issue than most think

I’m sure it’s not. See, if you pay a special $500 waiver fee, processed by Trumpco Inc, amalgamated, for a minimal 100% processing fee, you’re all good.

She’s going to bring that to Trump and in a week we’re gonna be discussing the latest legislation on renaming them Freedom Numbers.

SCOTUS killed it. It’s why it got so expensive  in the exchange.

Yeah, I was going off of special elections

The special elections during Biden’s term went to Democrats, mostly. So, i confess to being more pessimistic than you are.

Well, remember, one of Trump's chief problems is that he is in office.  The goldfish brains aren't going to forget that while he remains in office.

America was sick of his shit by 2020, but forgot about it by 2024.  They're sick of his shit now and will likely stay so.

Shit is so fucked up and crazy that I am starting to actually believe that there is some known pending apocalyptic event that only extremely powerful people know about and Donald Trump was chosen to distract us until it happens.

I know it sounds crazy, but I, too, have had this same thought.

Nah, that would require some distant celestial body to enter our solar system to act as a vessel conveying whatever apocalyptic cause there is.

We're both right.

If we could get all providers to go cash only and not accept insurance, it would completely reset the system and force a massive change. Unfortunately, that’s about as likely as a general strike to change the government.

Government regulations prevent anything resembling a free market in health care. It's really not that hard to conceptually fix the system, you just can't dig out from the entrenched interests and their lobby power.

If you think you’re going to be around aggy in the afterlife, you probably need to reevaluate the way you’re living your life.
