Red River looking east off I-35 bridge....those of you familiar with that scene know how much water that is. Those of you that don't, river is usually 20-30' below bridge with visible sand bars

Austin local news: “Many of you are probably getting tired of this constant rainfall interrupting your spring outdoor activities- well I have some good news, it looks like we will be quickly transitioning into a much drier pattern for the rest of the month starting this Wednesday. Details at 6.”

I'm sure there are some answers to this upthread, so apologies in advance.  What are you using for radar?  I miss the NWS/NOAA radar channel on tv.

Currently use KXAN but would love another resource.

800 gallons of water trickled into our tank, about 1/3 of an inch so far today. would be perfect if we weren't in a fucking mega drought.

We've had flooding all around Washington County and a 10 year old girl was swept away by flood waters while walking home from school.  A Brenham Police Officer was also swept away while trying to rescue her, but they were able to get him out.  As of 9pm, the girl was still missing.  Very sad.

I must say I have had a ton of rain these last two weeks.

I live on the very southern edge of Georgetown right across from the north part of Terra Vista.

Had at least three to four inches in the last 14 days.

How are the lakes responding to the rain? Is this the thread for that stuff.

They'll be back up to just 'not quite emtpy" in no time.

Not much movement yet, but it can take a while for all the water to make its way to the lakes. The drought has been so bad in the areas that drain to the highland lakes, the land will suck up a lot of this rain.

This is correct. Even with the recent rains, the ground is still very dry.

What was it at in 2015 before the floods brought it back up?

623.27 feet, so 12 feet below current level

all time low is 1951, 614 feet, 21 feet below current level
