I just don’t get it with these Christian nationals. I did a religious school and could barely keep my eyes open in grade school listening to that Moses shit. Even as a young kid I’m like that shit is fake as hell. Plus Jesus kinda struck me as kind of a pussy.

Picked my mother up at the airport tonight and on the way home she is telling me about how her and her boss were talking and they don’t think he acted alone and what about the guys making hand gestures next to him. So that was a fun drive home.

I wonder how many of these maga fake tough gun guys could make that shot.  Probably almost none of them.

I asked my coworker what he did over the weekend, and he said he went to a memorial.

I told him I was sorry for his loss (thinking it was his aging FIL), but he said no, it was a memorial service for Charlie Kirk.

My coworker is a good guy and we get along as long as we don’t talk about politics. But he can’t help himself but to make things political if any conversation broaches climate change, science and the economy.

(He’s the one who said the sea level would only rise 2 inches if all the ice in the world melted.)

(The answer is actually over 200 feet, but he doesn’t believe the Antarctic ice cap is over a mile thick because scientists only said that to get grant money from the Biden administration, ignoring the fact that scientist have been saying this for years, even under non-Democratic administrations.)

Yes, Jimmy Kimmel's show is an illegal campaign contribution.  Another conspiracy cracked by the guy who doesn't know how to Google words he can't pronounce before he goes on national tv to say them, but at least he's not staring directly into eclipses anymore, I guess?

One of those “this can’t be real” moments. 79 million people voted for this.

Honestly, it’s pretty much all ‘can’t be real moments’.  And sadly that’s not an exaggeration.  Just remember nobody has ever beat Father Time…

I think real Jesus was a badass.  The version you’re fed today is a shell of the real thing.  And I’m not religious at all.
Christian Nationalists are basically the Radical Muslims they love to hate so much.   The whole sim has jumped the shark.

Kimmel's two-segment monologue was worth watching.  He's not an intellectual, and he tends to get emotional at times (for years now), but I think he's a decent guy and he got some good points in.  Plus, DeNiro.

Was a lot more "down the middle" than I expected with some flowers to some unexpecteds (e.g. Ted Cruz, Erica Kirk, etc.). I thought it was really good.

So much this.

And man, the cognitive dissonance to say "I'm not racist, and the people and policies I love aren't racist....but man....all the racists and white supremacists seem to love all the people and policies I support."  FFS.

Dude.  If you like the same people and policies that white supremacists like, what meaningful difference is there between you and white supremacists?  Hint: the answer is "none."

i thought it was fantastic, almost a perfect tone, and yes very conciliatory... but then he also didn't pull any punches talking about Carr, Trump, FCC bit...he played this just right imo.

DeNiro is 82 and can still do a funny bit well 😄

Love him or hate him, at the most basic level Kimmel seems like a good dude. As others have said, I thought that was pretty much perfect last night.

So the takeaway is that the RNC and Trump are propping up FoxNews?

Can we bring back the "R" word, with a hard "ard", just for this fucking idiot?

Cunt has already been deemed to be acceptable to describe him in this thread.  It doesn't hurt that the Brits are using the word as well to describe him.

Cankles McThroat Cunt.
