Ryan Adams is absolutely a Grade A jackass.  I have the personal experience to back up that assertion.

He's now trolling Keith Urban by trying to get Nicole Kidman's attention.  This screams "off the wagon, again x infinity".

Summer of 69 was a good song though.

My friend saw him in Nashville eons ago and someone jokingly yelled that out as a request. Ryan got pissed and told him he'd pay him 20 dollars to leave. Guy came up, took Ryan's money then watched the rest of the show from the back of the auditorium.

Have heard that story a time or two as it is the stuff of legend. Saw him a few years ago in Dallas and somebody yelled that out. Ryan chuckled and mentioned that if this was the past he would’ve lost his shit on the guy. The implication is that he was in a much better place. Sexual misconduct allegations and a lagging career later, mixed with booze/pills and he’s back to being the same old asshole. He posted a few weeks ago something that basically he was done performing in America. At least that’s how it read. Used to really dig him but now have very little desire to see him.

I've mentioned it before, but he was at Hole In The Wall one night when my shitty band was playing.  He kept yelling for us to play "Freebird".  I finally took off my guitar and said "you come play it, motherfucker".  He passed.

He's a talent but he's an asshole.  The idea of him getting pissed about people requesting Bryan Adams songs is laughable in light of my experience.

This thread is making me want to put on Gold or Cold Roses. I’ll just pretend I didn’t read that shit above.

I'm not boycotting him.  I'll spin some Whiskeytown or "Gold" now and again.  The songs are great, and I already bought the product.

Last show I saw at Liberty Lunch (RIP)
