Oh my fucking god.

"Yeah, the thing they've been doing literally forever, the thing that's brought us to the brink of ruin, is how we'll get out of this." Stop this nonsense. When the other team is begging you to stop running the play that they can't stop, you keep running that fucking play

The world has changed. Try to see it. You assume that they have some kind of winning move. They don't. We need to find new avenues of resistance to the murder cult. That, or we can keep laying around on our nuts hoping somebody else saves us.

If you’ve seen the doc on I think Peacock or Paramount, her grooming of these girls was sickening.  Beyond sickening.  Because they weren’t of her “station” (which was in major jeopardy because her dad lost everything and was disgraced and she glommed on to Epstein), they weren’t really even human to her.

Do you think Epstein was murdered? Who ordered it done?

My favorite conspiracy theory is that Trump ordered Barr to have Epstein deleted, because he knew that he would go scorched earth on a number of people...including Trump...to save his own ass.

Why would there be any reason to pardon a sex trafficker outside of her ability to exonerate Trump. Which we all know is the only reason he would consider pardoning her.

I think there's something to this. Trump's brazeness and overconfidence (hubris) may bite him on this one. His usual dodges about old news, Biden, denial are not working. I think you may have good point about the pardon. I guess raping teenage girls is a line some of them won't cross. A lot of his followers like conspiracy theories, this would be a real conspiracy for them to chew on.

I don't know that it would save the republic, but it would be gratifying to find an end like Lonesome Rhodes in a Face in the Crowd for Donald Trump. That movie and Network are prophecies.

Not sure if it's been mentioned in this thread but Barr's dad gave Epstein his first job.

Again, we weren't really even trying to prosecute anyone. The first round we slapped Epstein on the wrist. A journalist had to go out and dig up witnesses for it to even get the attention of the nation. Only then were we even interested in pressing forward. Then people started getting suicided.

We really do not even know how much effort was made to get anyone else or what witnesses really had to say. I am of the opinion that no effort was made past Epstein and then we quickly made sure we got rid of him. I personally think that just like with Epstein, if the people would put pressure on the administration, they would fold just like they did before. What the admin is banking on is a short attention span with the American people.

Anyone who hasn’t needs to go and read the Miami Herald Exposé on the Epstein bullshit with Acosta. If you can read that and still conclude that there isn’t just a mountain of shit being hidden at the highest levels, I don’t know what to tell you.

I'm not gonna watch this shit, but the comments are interesting. Apparently Trump doesn't get mentioned once in this 20 minute clip, and the reply guys are killing Rogan. We are in a moment.

I read that and saw one of the documentaries. Epstein's jail time was a joke where he came and went between his cell and his home practically at will.

Here’s an interview with Virginia Giuffre from five years ago. She claims that Maxwell was the mastermind pulling the strings. Also says that there were cameras recording everything at Epstein’s homes.

It seems like a massive political gamble to pardon Maxwell. To even have the slightest chance of working in Trump’s favor, she would need to claim that Trump was never a part of the Epstein sex stuff while also offering up some names of offenders that could be prosecuted and satisfy the MAGA bloodlust. With just the first part, it would make no sense at all to let a known child sex trafficker go free.

Also, if Maxwell throws a few other people under the bus on Trump’s behalf, you have to worry about those people talking. They are currently quiet because they are still anonymous. It’s a mutually assured destruction situation.

All of that being said, never underestimate the ability of MAGA to be gaslighted by their orange god.

I won't pretend to know if Trump or any others are guilty of anything when it comes to Epstein. I certainly have my suspicions & biases, but I haven't seen evidence. What I can be certain of is that Maxwell will fully exonerate Trump and throw some GQP political enemies under the bus. Whatever "files" are released are guaranteed to be selected/manipulated to validate whatever story they concoct and will fall far short of a complete dump of the investigation. This will be a nothing burger as it relates to Trump when its all said and done, because he calls the shots now.  The man is a pathological liar, and everyone in his orbit has learned to just go with it and use his complete contempt for the truth to further their own goals.

Its laughable to expect full disclosure of information from a guy that fucking lied about keeping classified information at Mar-a-lago. This entire circus is political theatre that got out of hand, but there is zero chance that any information sullying Trumps sterling reputation will be released. And America will ultimately just accept it as another of the hundreds of looney-tunes episodes that define Trump's presidencies, shrug their shoulders, and move on. And once Maxwell is pardoned for doing her part, the rubes will all celebrate the occasion.

I don’t think this is the bombshell (that’s surely coming). This limited immunity reads like pretty normal procedure in situations like this, but I could be wrong.

Edit to say, I guess if you are looking for fuckery here, does this immunity protect her to straight up lie and follow whatever script they gave her?

To former prosecutors, everything about the Justice Dept. interview with Ghislaine Maxwell looked unorthodox

Quote

Because Blanche's meetings were occurring behind closed doors, it is unclear if he was accompanied by other Justice Department officials or FBI agents.

The Justice Department has not responded to a request for comment.

Experts told CBS News that meetings of this nature almost always include an FBI agent who can memorialize the discussion in formal interview notes that could later have evidentiary value, if needed.

"If Blanche was meeting with Maxwell alone, that's obscene malpractice," another former federal prosecutor, who had decades of experience, told CBS News. "He can't testify and become a witness, nor can he write a report of their meeting."

Prosecutors are not permitted to write up interview reports and are not sworn law enforcement officers with training to document an interview of this kind.

"It would be a mess," the former official said. "The first rule of a meeting with a witness is to have an agent present."

Yeah…dude…laws and rules literally no longer exist. The law is “whatever trump wants.” That’s it. That’s the entirety of the American legal system now.

Also laughable to think the Trump administration will prosecute anyone except political enemies based on any of this, and only if the risk to Trump can be contained.

Remember, Trump was a Democrat for most of this.

They aren’t interviewing Maxwell to exonerate Trump. They are looking for ANYTHING to quell the Qanon crazies.

Thats why Trump can’t pardon her - because it looks like he’s protecting the “deep state.”

Calling my shot now: tomorrow afternoon, around 3:00, a leak comes out that Maxwell pointed to Clinton, Fauci, and Dershowitz as being mentioned multiple times in the Epstein files.

Sunday morning shows go crazy.

Around 2:00 tomorrow afternoon, a mention from the AG that Trump was casually mentioned in one interview, but nothing came from it.

We’ll see. He knows what he did with Epstein. She’s probably the only person left that can legitimately connect the dots and put him balls deep in a 14-year-old at Epstein’s apartment or on the island and if he can buy her silence, he’ll do it. Fuck the consequences of a pardon. He doesn’t care. This is all about self-preservation. And he’ll get away with it anyways.

It still seems to me highly problematic for Trump
that if Maxwell names specific offenders, there becomes an obligation to investigate or prosecute those people. That process may eventually lead to people opening up about Trump, who would otherwise remain silent.

People who were on the island and at these New York parties know who else was there, and what kind of vile shit they were all doing together. It’s best for all of them if everyone stays quiet until the grave.

I pray it's the kind of thing that gets some of the QAnon wackos to decide they should exercise their 2nd Amendment rights.

Somehow (whether by pardon or negotiated for testimony) Maxwell is on some kind of release, while not in prison.. she is un-alived outside of the Orange Caligula's custody & prior to any condemning facts.

¹& Somehow it's Hillary's fault.

Good post, I merely recommend a change in verb voice.

Trump is impulsive and really not a very good checkers player. Now, for the first time, he's knocked well off balance. None of the usual dull-minded tricks have worked with his dull-minded but stubborn followers. Lying, deflecting, pronouncing the story dead, and railing against enemies of the state had been, literally, fool-proof.

How many of his actions are really considered other than hiring flunkies with his same non-existent moral code?

Trump's anxious and getting angrier. He ignores good advice because he knows more about anything than anybody. He is set up here for a disastrous decision.

Should Trump outrage his followers with the pardon of a teenage girl sex trafficker, there will be an opening for the only relevant political party to oust him. They'd rather be in control than have an outsider such as Trump pulling the reins of the hate engine they've hitched their criminal organization to. The GOPs are not all Trump loyalists. I would wager few of them are. They sell their souls; they don't dedicate them.

Oust Trump and you have someone less bombastic but equally wicked. Vance. He can't command as Trump does. The GOPs are back on track with their fascist plans. They've even been moved further down the line by President Shitty Pants Dumbass.

Trump shouldn't pardon Ghislaine "Lucky" Maxwell, but he surely can.
