Mike Pence will release a statement announcing he agrees with President Trump and that he, also, condemns Mike Pence for his actions.

Is this the Trump message that finally condemns Mike Pence to speak like Rickey Henderson for the rest of his life?

"Mike Pence regrets not telling Mike Pence to not certify the January 6th election in Mike Pence's Senate.  Mike Pence regrets any unpleasantness experienced by President Trump as Vice President Mike Pence.  Mike Pence would like to thank Donald Trump for building a fighting force of extraordinary magnitude.  Mike Pence offers Donald Trump a great big hand."

To go full Rickey means you do not show fealty to anyone. When Pence goes third person and declares he is the greatest we'll know he jumped the shark.

Seriously. All he has to do is publish this nonsense and his minions will share it all over the platform. Same old shit. I seriously hope he dies soon because his rantings are truly dangerous.

His post-Presidency is just as chaotic as his actual Presidency.

Aside from getting out of the public eye and getting well deserved rest, every President in my lifetime has taken to three tasks after their term(s) end(s):

1.  Helping the less fortunate (this can be thru international travel to provide aid to painting for wounded veterans to formal philanthropic foundations).

2.  Writing memoirs.  Although intensive, almost all Presidents opt to do this quickly after leaving office while topics are still top of mind.

3.  Coordinating their libraries.  Some Presidents have been very hands off and let experts handle it.  Others are very hands-on including the architecture, scholarly programming, and senior staffing.  But once out of the fog of the office, they all then have a chance to shape how history will view them and all of them have taken that very seriously.  Really starting with Truman and everybody since.

So what does Trump do in "drain the swamp" fashion with his newfound spare time?

1.  Sends out poorly composed "presidential statements" from the hotel business center at Mar-a-Lago about completely disassociated political topics.

2.  Checks the auto-on channel on the resort TV each morning to see if there's any weddings or special events he can go down and speak at about the election.

3.  Tries to pretend, that as "the most hands-on boss you'll ever meet" "100 hours a week in the office workaholic" head of the Trump Organization, he's somehow still running the day-to-day operations of that massive company from again, the Mar-a-Lago hotel business center.

A Trumper would say that Trump wouldn't bother with the typical post-President stuff, 'cause "He wasn't a typical President!  Plus, he gettin' ready to run again in 2024!"  The man should be traveling the nation to attend large political events and raise PAC money that way.  Instead he speaks to wedding parties of 35 people and issues bizarre written declarations directed at an audience of zero.  Except for his kids, nobody in New York has heard from him in months.  But he is crushing it in online fundraising with very little effort.  Too bad that money will all be gone by February of 2024 when he never shows up to the gathered crowd in Iowa.

I wonder if his lack of energy is due to him not being pumped full of stims every day. He probably got used to being propped up by drugs and now doesn't have access to them. how sad.

He's in Florida. How hard would it be for him to get Adderall? I mean, for cryin' out loud, it's practically in vending machines down there.

RE: Trump running in '24.

I had the thought the other day that he isn't going to run at all, because that takes work, plus money. Rather, I figure he will just raise money, release statements, bitch about how the country is falling apart, whatever.  Meanwhile, the GOP will change their rules before the convention that if by chance he decides he wants to run, they will approve him as the nominee; then he shows up to the convention and gets everyone to kneel.

Look, he served 4 years as president without doing much more than having a rally or two a month, squeezing in 36 rounds a week, and free styling it the rest of the time.  The next step in this evolution is to not even run, but get the nomination anyway and put in a solid 3 months of riffing.  It just might work.

This is funny and also 100% accurate.  Most of them couldn't tell you one policy he "stands for", other than MERICA FIRST!  It's a cult.

This...is actually a damned likely play.  The GQP will set the rules -- the nominee will be EITHER the person who  wins the most primary votes.....OR any former Republican POTUS who served a term within the last 8 years who submits his name as a candidate to the national party at least 24 hours before the nomination vote is to take place, in which case such person will automatically be the nominee.  Boom, presto, all Trump has to do is show up the day before the convention and say "mine."

He will have the full and fanatical support of the GQP.  He will raise a kajilion dollars.  Easy-peasy.

Has some AI programmer created some software that will auto create a trump speech?  I feel like that wouldn’t be too hard.

just snip and stitch random 5 second segments of every rally speech he's given.  needs to be, what, an hour? hour and a half?  wouldn't be any less coherent.

If anyone has a dataset of every speech he’s ever made I’ll see if I can whip up a rough version

function lordHelpUsAll(wordCount) {
  lexicon = ["liberals", "me", "nasty", "greatest", "worst", "nancy", "aoc", "the gang", "covfefe", "I", ...]
  wordSalad = []

  [1..wordCount].forEach(_ => {
    wordSalad.add(lexicon.randomElement())
  });

  return wordSalad.join(" ")
}

That will be $9.95.  $999,999.95 if you voted for Trump.

He’s too broke to do anything else.  He’s whining about Facebook and Twitter but a real billionaire would be able to stand up a basic platform by now.

Instead, he’s holed up at Mar a Lago because he doesn’t have the money to fix his plane.

He was broke the day he announced his candidacy in Iowa because of his debts.

He was broke the day he entered the White House, but slightly less so because of taking campaign contributions to pay some of his debts.

He was broke the day he left the White House and was in a far more precarious position with regard to his debt because he lost his ability to grift on social media.

He is now so broke he cannot start a new social media platform. He has never been a billionaire for even one day of his life. I would posit he has never had a net worth that would go into 8 digits due to all his many debts. Now he's just a sad example of what you never, ever, ever want your children or family members to wind up like if you are not a part of his death cult.

This.  It costs very little to stand up a basic platform.  I have a server for a bunch of site I maintain, and I could spin up a new site in 15 or 20 minutes with WordPress, BuddyPress, and bbPress, and *boom* there's a social media platform that could handle several thousand users.

I could quickly scale that thing up to handle hundreds of thousands (and more) as well.  And keep in mind that WordPress is not the ideal platform for this, but it would be quick and doable, and could be customized to resemble Facebook, Parler, etc.

It's a combination of laziness and unwillingness to spend his own money.

 I have no doubt that he wants somebody else to pay for it, and that they cut him a deal for the use of his name.

And it's really fucking telling that he won't get his airplane fixed.  If he pours money into it, it won't generate revenue for him right now, so it's useless in his eyes.

Did dotard send up his bat signal today or something?  When I was out I saw an old hag wearing a Trump / Pence mask (oh the irony), three fat fucks decked out in their dotard t-shirts and a rube with the giant Trump Train flag hanging off the back of his leased pick-up truck.

I haven't seen that much dotard shit in one outing since the insurrection which makes me wonder if their little underground treason club is plotting some more shenanigans.

According to Bloomberg, his net worth is $2.4b.  https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/2021-donald-trump-net-worth-business/

But he's cash poor, for a billionaire.  His reputation and therefor ability to get new loans is going to make things really, really interesting.   I mean, he'll always live in obnoxious luxury but his empire looks to be on the ropes.

Hence his unwillingness to get his plane fixed - if he gets it fixed and he starts using it, he has to spend money to keep it maintained, which is expensive.

Then again, really surprised he hasn't figured out how to rent it out to his PAC and have them cover the costs.

I wonder why he doesn't sell a few properties.

Because his properties are leveraged to the hilt and he wouldn’t make any money selling them. I may have more net worth than trump and that’s just because I own a home in austin. His only asset is campaign contributions which he will have to steal to get. And he will.

This.  Vornado tried selling the properties they jointly own with him and there weren't any takers for the price they wanted.  What few commercial holdings he has left are underwater and probably significantly.

This.  I think he's a lot like many banks sitting on a shitload of foreclosures.  They foreclosed on a property that had a value of $20 million when the mortgage was closed.  Now that they've foreclosed on it, they have it on their books as a $20 million asset, based on that valuation.....even though the truth is that if they tried to sell it today, they'd only get $10 million.  So, they have an asset noted at book value of  20, but a market value of only 10....but market value isn't relevant till you try to sell it, till then, you get to claim that you have a $20 million asset.

It's one of the biggest financial lies out there, and it's SOP.

Can you put a trenchcoat and fake beard on your twitter account when you set it up, so as to fool people?

Or would that look too much like what he wore into Ivanka's bedroom as a pre-teen so she thought, "Meh, at least it's rape...not incest."

It's accurate because some of you voted for Donald Trump and he molested his own daughter in the 1990's.  And you want your vote taken seriously.  Fucking idiots.
