When these domestic terrorists and their congressional supporters try to deflect away from the awful events of that day, quote the orange menace to them who said; “remember this day forever.”

Gotta love these guys who came up with the lame excuses. You know they are thinking they’re outsmarting everyone.  I’m a documentarian like all of you journalists. I’m just there to film what happens. Is that me stomping on camera equipment? I would rather not address that now.

Maybe he was documenting how to deconstruct a camera?

LOL, another YouTuber "journalist" who stomped on media equipment goes down.  And he's from Austin.

A man accused of crimes connected with the U.S. Capitol riot from Jan. 6 was arrested in Austin Monday.

Zvonimir Joseph Jurlina was arrested on charges of Destruction of Property in Special Maritime and Territorial Jurisdiction and Aiding and Abetting as well as Act of Physical Violence on Grounds after FBI Special Agents identified him through a series of YouTube videos live-streamed during the incident, according to an affidavit. An attorney is not listed for him online.

Quote

Identified through photos and videos submitted to the FBI after the incident, the affidavit says Jurlina kicked or stomped on media equipment, assisted in attempting to light the gear on fire and “incited violent acts” against media members.

The affidavit says Jurlina live-streamed the events at the U.S. Capitol in a 12-part series posted to a publicly-accessible YouTube channel. Some of the videos have since been removed, but were previously downloaded by authorities.

Quote

At another point in the video, Jurlina can be seen holding an orange microphone, saying “sorry folks, we got some breaking news here, we got some breaking news here,” the affidavit says.

Subsequently, Jurlina can ben heard making grunting noises the coincided with sound of equipment breaking, the affidavit says.

Quote

Law enforcement officials tracked the YouTube account and found a phone number, which was then traced to Jurlina, the affidavit.

According to records obtained through a search warrant, that cell phone number used a cell site on
Jan. 6 within the geographic area that includes the interior of the U.S. Capitol building, the affidavit says.

Keeping up the trend of dumbass Republicans/Trumpers who film their crimes and then are surprised when it comes back to haunt them.

Yeah, I made it about 5 minutes in.  Can't do it.  Fucking rage.

I had similar qualms before watching the video.

It does wrap up the attack on the Capitol quite well.

  • There were 8-9 breach points in the Capitol - and a battle at each opening. Simultaneous attacks spread defenders thin.
  • The attacks were far more coordinated (Proud Boys/Oath Keepers/3 Percenters) than I knew.
  • The law enforcement/military response was ridiculously delayed.
  • The Capitol Police were not ready to defend the Capitol from breaches by protestors. For example, trying to hold a line without riot gear and munitions.
  • The insurrectionists were feet away from Congressmembers as they stormed the Capitol. God knows what would have occurred if the insurrectionists took prisoners.
  • The House and Senate should have moved to safe areas much sooner.
  • Words mattered on that day - and one can see the power of words from Trumpkin leaders spurring the sacking of the Capitol that day.
  • The violence that day is underappreciated by most, including me.

TLDR - watch the video if you have the stomach for it.

I watched it.

The only question I had was why they didn't open fire on the insurrectionists?

They each had probably 4 mags each, and it's not like they'd have trouble hitting in such a target rich environment

I still to this day don't understand how there weren't a helluva lot more dead rioters. I think one thing we'll find out in the investigation is that someone in charge of Capitol police severely and purposely neutered their ability to handle the crowd and probably suppressed an order to engage with deadly force, if necessary (which it was).

Imagine if they were Black, you think it might have gone down differently?

If there were 36 more black people in that insurrection group, then 1921 Tulsa would be right back to where it was last year---a completely forgotten incident of history.

People worried about a socialist Biden economy, that dismiss 6 January as a tourism misunderstanding...cannot possibly wrap their tiny brains about what would have happened to the United States' economy had even 1 elected official been executed or even held hostage.  It would have plundered us into a decade long depression because we nobody, other than our central bank, would have bought our paper for several years.  You can't kill your government on international live TV and apply for a credit card in the same day.

Agree. Our reserve currency status provides us with benefits few can imagine. There was damage to the USD because of January 6 - which adds to the deflationary headwinds we continue to face as an economy.

The USD is a reserve currency because of US stability.

Well, in some sense, I am sure certain elements wanted to be sure to set a "tone" of non-violence toward protestors, probably with an eye toward counter-protestors.  That is probably going to provide quite a bit of smokescreen for this.

Watched it.  Disturbing.  All of those stupid fucks (with the exception of a couple who died in the event) are still among us.

Don't fret.  More of them are going to either die in prison or commit suicide before their federal sentence begins.

There are many more funerals to see.  We are just getting started.

One positive thing came from the video.  The capitol police were a lot more professional and valiant than I first believed.  They really did try to hold them back.  They were just severely outnumbered and they were not equipped.  Utter failure of leadership, but not the rank and file.

Just watched the NYT video and I want to throw up. These fucking assholes storming the Capitol ALL need to be prosecuted. The mutherfucking GQP crying wolf need to be hung by the neck like the traitors they are. Yeah assholes... I took an oath, too. But unlike you, I actually support and defend the Constitution not some bastardized view to fit my whim and I know the penalty for treason. Fuck all of you right in the goatass.

Yeah, its pretty jarring.  Ashli Babbitt was so severely mentally ill, it had to have been obvious to her husband and mother. I guess it could have also been a meth addiction.  But her despair was obvious.  If they truly cared about her, they would have made sure she got the help she needed.  They are using her death as a way to fundraise and its disgusting.

I mean….

A cop who was released pending trial for storming the Capitol was told he could not possess firearms as part of the conditions of his release.

He’s since purchased 34 new firearms and a few days ago the FBI caught him making pipe bombs.

What part of “Shall not be infringed” don’t you get Libtards????!!

This is a terrorist.

Imagine if the exact same facts existed, but his name was Abdul and the thing he was mad about was "American imperialism in the middle east."

https://www.cnn.com/2021/07/02/politics/kfile-anthony-aguero-accompanied-members-of-congress-to-border/index.html

Quote

A conservative YouTuber who participated in the January 6 riot accompanied Republican members of Congress on a trip to the border Tuesday night, serving as a translator at times.

Anthony Aguero, a close ally of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene can be seen in videos and photoswith Republican members of Congress who traveled to a route along the border frequented by migrants on Tuesday night. CNN's KFile previously reported that Aguero went into the Capitol during the January 6 riot and cheered and justified the break-in.

Quote

During his livestream of the Tuesday visit, Aguero interviewed and chatted with Reps. Tom. Tiffany of Wisconsin, Lauren Boebert of Colorado, Madison Cawthorn of North Carolina, Chris Jacobs of New York, Michael Cloud of Texas, John Rose of Tennessee, Ronny Jackson of Texas, and Mary Miller of Illinois.

"Hi guys, Congressman Hawthorn is behind me," Aguero tells viewers during his livestream, mispronouncing Cawthorn's last name. "That is freaking awesome. That is freaking awesome. I'll tell you that."

Quote

In a statement, Aguero told CNN, "I appreciate the Congressmen and Congresswomen that went out of their way to come to the Border to see the crisis for themselves." He did not answer questions regarding how he was at the border with members of Congress.

Aguero has not been charged for unlawful entry at the US Capitol on January 6. After chanting "heave-ho" as rioters attempted to break in, he entered the Capitol Rotunda and later chanted "our house" on the Capitol steps. In a livestream one day after the Capitol riot, he attacked those who condemned the ransacking of the Capitol. The FBI previously declined to comment on whether it was investigating Aguero in an email to CNN.

Quote

The members were visiting ahead of former President Donald Trump's visit to the border on Wednesday. Aguero sat in the audience directly behind the former President on Wednesday night during Trump's appearance on Hannity.

It's not clear how Aguero joined the group Tuesday night, as he was not at the press briefing prior to the trip that was attended by reporters, according to a photo and a CNN reporter present. He was already in the area as the members of Congress arrived.

Quote

Buckley Carlson, the RSC's deputy communications director, said Aguero's presence at the border was "purely incidental."

"Chairman (Jim) Banks never spoke to the individual in question, the Republican Study Committee was unaware of his identity and whereabouts on January 6, and he did not travel with our group to the border," Carlson said in a statement to CNN.

Quote

Aguero, who told members of Congress he was there as an "independent journalist" with Border Network News, posted a lengthy livestream on his YouTube channel in which he is seen interviewing and sometimes translating conversations with migrants for Reps. Boebert, Tiffany, August Pfluger of Texas, and Randy Weber of Texas.

https://www.cnn.com/2021/07/02/politics/couy-griffin-political-beliefs-judge-rejects-capitol-rioter-claim/index.html

Quote

A Trump-appointed federal judge on Friday rejected claims from a US Capitol riot defendant that he had been "selectively charged" because he is a supporter of former President Donald Trump.

Federal Judge Trevor McFadden shot down that accusation and upheld the criminal charges against Couy Griffin, a county commissioner from New Mexico who founded the "Cowboys for Trump" group and was featured in a recent CNN documentary about the January 6 insurrection.

Quote

The judge also rejected Griffin's technical arguments about the federal trespassing statutes that the Justice Department used to prosecute him and hundreds of other riot suspects. The ruling could influence other judges who are considering similar challenges regarding the trespassing law.

Quote

In a written ruling, McFadden said Griffin "comes up short on providing the 'clear evidence' required" to demonstrate that he had been improperly charged because of his political beliefs. The judge also said there are legitimate reasons why the Justice Department would want to prosecute Griffin, even though other rioters who were near him haven't been charged yet.

Quote

"(Prosecutors) could rationally forgo federal prosecution as to most trespassers while deciding that Griffin's leadership role in the crowd, position as an elected official, and more blatant conduct at the scene merited him different treatment," McFadden wrote in his 14-page ruling.

"He was an avid painter who focused on painting flags."

I don't know why, but that the strangest thing to read in an obituary like this since "Beloved Cunt."

I recently had to take some recertification training for some government clearances recently and there was a section on insider threats. During the exam you had to determine potential insider threats and there were about a dozen different profiles. Some were pretty obvious "Abed is a Muslim and is originally from Pakistan and has a lot of immediate family still living in Pakistan..." or "Jim is going through a rough divorce and has recently been talking about frequent trips to casinos."

Then there was "Karen formally worked in law enforcement and is devoted to her Christian faith, she frequently discusses her conservative political views and her love for the country. She often invites others with clearances to Bible studies and other church related programs."

That one made me pause because I've been doing these things for years and never saw that profile before. I correctly surmised that Karen was potentially a fucking rat and I got the question right.

In recent years, Karen is statistically most likely to be a threat, and the numbers aren't even close.

Honestly, I was a caught off guard by the question because I never have seen a profile like that before and thought depending on the actual answer I might need to move to Canada. But thankfully the U.S. government agrees that these people are a potential threat.
