November 16, 20232 yr Do you ever give in to the urge to tell them just how delusional and full of shit they are? I wouldn't be able to resist. On a few things I do. It’s entertainment and he is my closest relative as we grow old. I’ve been making Aggie jokes at him since high school. I remember when they removed the requirement to be in the Corps, and they finally opened a women’s dorm in the early 70’s. They resisted women coming in more than desegregation in the 60’a. Is the Corps still affiliated with the Army as an official ROTC program or is it now just bullshit soldier dress up shit?

November 16, 20232 yr I have friends who are ancillary CFB fans and call me when something big happens. They ask me, “Just tell me what to think.” Two guys said today, “Coach Prime to Aggy! What do you think!?” I told them Aggies are racists with little man syndrome and sent them some Yell Leader vids. Always awesome to open a person’s eyes. ETA I covered the nut-grabbing and jizz jars too of course.I’ve got a buddy from bama asking some stuff about them before the game this season. I just forwarded him the aggypedia link.

A number of years ago, I was working with a guy that was representing a software partner and we had been meeting off an on for close to a year. The guy was an Ohio State grad and based out of Columbus, Ohio. He was a big fan of college football so we frequently discussed cfb. On one occasion, he flew down for a few days to work with me. However, he made a stop in Houston first to meet a different company. The first thing he brought up with me was this question. "What is the deal with Texas A&M alumni? I was in Houston meeting a couple of people and they were fans of college football so we started talking like me and you do but the conversation was weird. I can't explain it but this one guy was really weird." LOL The first thing I showed him on my laptop was the nut squeezing and Milkmen because he didn't believe me. His reaction was wtfguy.gif and then I forwarded him a link to aggypedia. It's always hilarious to see the uninitiated get introduced to aggy. I've never met anyone that thought their traditions were cool. Also, a lot of people don't know shit about aggy because they are not a national brand but a backwater freakshow.

November 16, 20232 yr I weirdly believe Kiffin would want to go there. I think he hated Jimbo, not really A&M. Would probably think that he could go there and show Jimbo up with all the money and croots he would be able to get. He'd be a good hire, but they probably view him as beneath them. Or feel like he's not gonna mesh well with their "culture", which is probably true. They'd rather hire a loser that puts up with their dumb shit than hire a winner who won't participate in it. Edited November 16, 20232 yr by Pam Cummings
November 16, 20232 yr Popular Post I listened to the On Second Thought podcast interview with Olin Buchanan so the rest of you don’t have to. Notes: Jimbo failed because the offense was dated and too complicated. Hints that offense against Miss St was alllowing Petrino to fully run it for the first time. Looking for in new coach - recruiting machine, offensive minded, organizational skills. Offensive mind doesn’t eliminate Elko depending on his vision for the offense and getting in great OC Is Elko leader in the clubhouse? Can’t say, hearing so many names right now, mentions Urban and Dan Campbell (or even Aaron Glenn). Jeff Traylor brought up by Bohls,Buchanan says they might even keep ERob (what has hiring the big names gotten you?), compares ERob to what Clemson did with Dabo. Dan Lanning is too expensive Bohls pushing Traylor, says he’s like RC, Buchanan doesn’t disagree. Buchanan downplaying the big name hire because they haven’t worked before, seems like he’s really pushing this narrative to lower expectations about the name when announced ATM has all the pieces in place, get a coach who wants to be there (like Traylor). You’re welcome.

The players rallied around him and won the fiesta bowl over Oklahoma, then they demanded he be the coach. The AD acquiesced, and then he went 9-4, 9-4, 9-4, and was fired three years later. there is a LOT more to that story that you left out. i'll drop the wiki summary: Quote On June 10, 2011, Stewart resigned and Holgorsen took over as head coach, effective immediately.[18] The relationship between Stewart and Holgorsen had been strained from the beginning, and came to a head in late May when Colin Dunlap, a journalist with KDKA-FM in Pittsburgh, reported that Stewart had asked him while he was a reporter with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and a reporter with The Charleston Gazette to dig up dirt about Holgorsen and smear his name in headlines for their respective papers. These calls were made in December before Holgorsen even came to West Virginia. While athletic director Oliver Luck was unable to fully substantiate the reporters' claims, he determined that Stewart had become too much of a distraction and forced Stewart's immediate resignation. WVU and Stewart subsequently negotiated a buyout of Stewart's contract.[19] It was reported that Stewart was fired for "conduct detrimental to the university," but was allowed to publicly save face by resigning.[20] here was his record at WVU then like 2 years later he had a heart attack on the golf course and died
