So we had 3 or 4 mass shootings in America yesterday, on a Sunday?  Good thing we were all in Church so we could more effectively send out prayers.

Except that one church in Minnesota that was giving shelter to people injured by police during protests; they had to close services on Sunday because the police had surrounded it the day before. There were photographs on social media, but I'm not posting them because there was some dispute regarding the accuracy. Apparently there were two churches in the area and one was by a staging area that law enforcement was using (as they formed their kettles, etc) and I don't want to contribute to misinfo. However, the church specifically mentioned the police presence on their property as the reason they would be shuttered.

Caught in Manor, for those of you who understandably don't go to the cesspool that is the DT.

Prolly got into Manor and said "you know what, federal prison HAS to be better than this miserable shithole" and just gave himself up.

From what I’m reading, he was a cop. Accused of raping his stepdaughter. Turned into the police by his wife and his victim. He was arrested and fired. He was currently out on bail on those charges.

And shot them all.

Yeah, no need to fix any part of the justice system. It’s all working swimmingly.

you know, there should just be a Twitter macro for this sort of thing.

"There is an active shooter situation at [location].  The [local PD] is searching [an area] and [schools, homes, businesses] have been notified to lock down and secure their buildings.  The subject(s) remain at large, and we ask all persons in the area to remain sheltered in place."

It will make things so much easier on public information officers.

NEW YORK - One person has been killed and two others injured in a shooting at a Stop & Shop supermarket in West Hempstead, said police.

The shooting happened inside a manager's office, upstairs from the shopping floor. Police named a person of interest who had been employed at the store. It was unclear whether the person was still employed. No one was in custody in connection with the shooting.

Pretty sure they aren't now.

That's a bummer to read.  Those 'kids' would be turning 40 this year.  Watching their own children grow up.

That was supposed to the game-changing mass shooting.  A high school full of dead teenagers was supposed to be it.

Then 14 years later, a school full of dead elementary school children.  I was sure that was the moment we'd do something different.

It's no longer hyperbole to suggest that the next big one will be a nursery or NNICU full of dead babies.  It's just a matter of time.  It'll happen within the next 5 years.

If you can't handle a school shooting by middle school age, it's time to grow up!

Yep.  This is what you get with the pussification of America.  Bet that scared kid got a trophy for not winning something sometime.  What a pussy.

Tell that kid to cut the waterworks and enjoy his freedom!

Yep. If the kid has to be inconvenienced by a gun nut shooting people in his school, so be it. He can still pursue happiness if he survives.

So, just so I have this straight, a not insignificant portion of the most adamant 2nd amendment supporters--the kind that claims that their weapons are protection from an overreaching government--100% thinks that the presidential election was stolen from their candidate, that the current president is, somehow, both a pawn for China AND the radical left deep state agenda, socialism is imminent, and their brothers and fellow militia men are having their livelihoods destroyed and are being sent to jail for being brave enough to protest these injustices at the Capitol. If ever there was a time to rebel, isn't it now? The government is out of control! Where is the action???

It's almost like, now hear me out, they're giant, gaping, lying, keyboard warrior pussies.

Happy Birthday and Happy Mother's Day, the American way.

https://abc7.com/colorado-birthday-party-shooting-7-dead-springs-today/10604022/

COLORADO SPRINGS -- Seven people are dead, including a gunman, after a shooting at a birthday party where friends, family and children gathered to celebrate early Sunday morning.

Authorities responded to a call about a shooting in a trailer at the Canterbury Mobile Home Park in Colorado Springs at approximately 12:20 a.m.

Police said they believe the gunman was the boyfriend of one of the female victims. He shot six people before taking his own life, police said.

By the time officers arrived, six people were dead and one was severely injured. That victim later died in the hospital.

The children at the party were not injured and are now in the care of relatives.

"From the officers who responded to the shooting to the investigators still on scene, we are all left incredibly shaken. This is something you hope never happens in your own community, in the place that you call home," Colorado Springs Police Chief Vince Niski said in a statement.

Officials have not released the names of the victims nor the shooter. A motive has yet to be determined, and an investigation is ongoing.

A “birthday party” at 12:20am. In a trailer park. This is drunken trumpkin on trumpkin murder.

Think about the countless people in this country that survive these things but still have to live with the trauma forever. It’s crazy.

We're on pace for the majority of Americans having been affected by gun violence in some way in the next 50 years or so.

Canterbury Mobile Home Park

Maybe I'm being prejudiced, but I would suspect that naming a mobile home park after the cradle of English Christianity is probably going right over the heads of the residents.
