To use the obvious analogy from last cycle, we had to stay on Sharma until the fax was in hand. Feels similar.

I have a weird twitter feed, same as weird Amazon music and Apple newsfeed because I'm kind of a tiger shark of interests, I'll consume almost anything and everything at some point. I'm pretty sure it's because I follow different Michigan posters, especially a couple of hot CFB Michigan fans who always post in bikinis or showing cleavage (one of the best Twitter follows I have is some blond lawyer lady named Michelle who seems like she's almost always in a bikini talking about Michigan sports - sue me), as well as I follow different food people, including pizza fans. He often pops up with whatever he's saying about Michigan or pizza. I loathe the guy and feel like I've muted almost every barstool handle possible, but they appear to have endless handles within their ranks.

This is a weird attempt at gaslighting. More food pedantry, thank the lord!

Best Class Scenario: July 16 edition

The Texas Longhorns are knocking on the door of a fifth straight top 5 ranked class after the commitments of 5-star linebacker Tyler Atkinson and the flip of 4-star++ defensive lineman James Johnson from Georgia. Steve Sarkisian and staff have the ability to begin the 2025 season ranked inside the top 5 if they win out for one of the nation's top prospects this weekend.

This class will not be complete by the start of the season, however. There will be needs remaining at linebacker, offensive tackle, edge and potentially wide receiver and defensive back for sure. That provides Texas with a high ceiling that could could challenge for a top 3 class by December.

OTF brings the latest edition of the BCS.

Surprisingly he gave good reviews on the casserole. But he’s not a fan of the thin crust(or as he calls it tavern style)

that said does anyone really care that much about these pre game shows anymore? It's on in the background in my house until there is an actual game on.  Portnoy is good for them because these shows are built for clips to go viral and to have maybe the last 10 minutes hold the viewer for the following game.

With McAfee and Portnoy in the mix, that background will be on mute or deleted altogether in my house.

Mostly Johnson and Cooper.  Johnson was committed for all of like 2/3 weeks before he flipped.

It's called "serial monogamy."

Weird that you call it pizza when it's clearly an open face sandwich.

I like his style in pizza... That's all I got

Only place I ever found from him was Williamsburg Pizza on Union in Brooklyn. It's a short walk from Hotel 42 which is where we love to stay when in that area of NYC. That's one of my favorite all time places to pick up a couple of slices from.

Surly vs Dave Portnoy

We’ve got to set up some kind of Surly pop up pizza shop that serves frozen Totino’s pizzas with the Dickbutt Surly logo and our own Star Wars cantina scene of posters waiting for his arrival. Just the thought of it puts a smile on my face.

Quiche better than Chicago-style pizza? Was quiche invented by a fellow Texas longhorn? No. But Chicago-style pizza WAS invented by a Texas Longhorn, Ike Sewell, at Pizzeria Uno in 1943.  And not only was Ike a Longhorn, he was an All-Southwest Conference guard as a player on the Longhorn football team from 1926 to 1929.

So you hush your dirty mouth.

Well, good on him. I wish I could like it knowing that. But unfortunately, I'm not a fan of the deep dish style.

Wait wait wait

Is rotel in Velveeta not acceptable anymore? Bc that's a staple of all trips to the lake/river/beach.

Torchy's, for as much as their tortillas are garbage, also puts guac and their Diablo in the queso.

Cream cheese, plus rotel, plus a pine or ground breakfast sausage is awesome.  Prefer it over velveeta.

Sounds like a nice addition to the Surly tailgate.

The funny thing about Tech’s transfer class is they spent an obscene amount and ended up adding 3, maybe 4, guys that I view as real impact players to a roster that was otherwise fairly mediocre. For the most part, these guys are closer to Jermayne Lole level players than Mukuba/Golden.

The strategy doesn’t make sense to me, it’s not like they had an existing roster ready for a playoff run and just needed a few pieces. They’ll get tagged a few times in B12 play because it’s a random number generator conference and they go on the road to Utah, ASU and KSU. More than anything, they set themselves up to be national laughingstocks.

You bought a broken Lole.  What Texas got was reasonable depth, but nothing like the 2019/2020 version.  He got hurt over and over again and was a shell.

It is actually a yummy casserole/quiche that Ike made.  It's just not pizza.
