According to my uncle, Frank tended to "raise a glass" to the wild bunch when they hollered at him.

As for colorful lawyer, Percy Foreman is the only man I have ever heard of that got a man "Pete Thomas Scamardo" off of a murder rap because the jury believed Sam Dagillia deserved killing.

"The verdict in Pete Scamardo's trial was practically unprecedented. Jurors had no trouble believing he was responsible for the Degelia killing but let him off scot-free with seven years probation."

He initially got Woody Harrellson's dad off in the same trial with a hung jury, but his star witness fled the country before the retrial.

This is not quite on the same level, but I am about to start day three of an open plea where the phrase "pocket pussy" has been used more times than I ever thought would happen in court room. Just for clarification, I am the lawyer not the defendant.

That’s pretty good. I have one coming up in which a 24” dildo is the weapon used in an assault.

Well Pete Thomas Scamardo's son Mark owns a farming empire in the brazos bottom and a fancy high priced farmers market in College Station.  Not sure if his dad's heroine and gun running money had anything to do with that or not.

I'm trying....

Summer recruiting is over, pretty much everyone is committed, so from now on it's flips/late bloomers/2027 dudes reclassifying.

  • QB - Done. Just hang on to Bell.
  • RB - See QB. Lots of speculation that we'd stay on Edwards for a 2 back class, but Bobby squashed that the other day. Just hang on to Cooper seems to be the plan.
  • WR - Definitely need 1 more. Not sure where they plan to play Bishop. Reporting is that they'll stay on Lott. Ship has probably sailed with Finley. Paris Melvin possibly on the back burner.
  • TE - Seems like they wanted 1 elite guy and couldn't find one/land one. Depth chart is pretty young and talented. Supposedly there's a 5-star 2027 guy that's high on us. I bet we just shut it down here.
  • IOL  - Personally I think we gotta have at least 1, maybe 2. Haven't seen much but I bet we stay in contact with the two aggy guys. We passed on Katoa. I bet a new name or two emerges here eventually.
  • OT - Need 1. Seems like Lee is the target. I'm sure there's a backup plan but damned if I know what it is.
  • DT - I'm sure we'll have our work cut out holding on to all 4 of these OOS guys. This seems like a spot where they'll always take another guy if they can.
  • EG - Henderson or bust? Need another IMO but they're not gonna take a guy that can't contribute.
  • LB - Hang on to Atkinson. Otherwise done?
  • CB - Early emergence of Littleton reduces the need here. Still I'd think 1 more would be ideal. No names.
  • S - By all acounts, staying on Benjamin.

So I'm still expecting 1 WR, 1 IOL, 1 OT, 1 EG, 1 CB, and 1 S. That'd give us 27 including the three specialists. IMO the biggest remaining needs are at OL and DB.

I believe the staff has said they want another LB. Hill and Moore being gone after this year is going to leave that room pretty thin. You'll have Lefau and Ty'Anthony Smith, and Bo Barnes as a sophomore and that's about it before freshman arrive.

I bet they go to the portal at LB again. Take another hybrid type (or two) if Spence leaves a year early since Moore also graduates.

Pretty interesting that he's got Turntine and 4 juniors at OL.

It's a shit year for OL in-state and OTF is much, much higher on Turntine than anyone else. Not surprising.
