This is what has been so aggravating over the last 10 years.   Why have so few spoken out regularly and often about this shit?

I am tired of seeing articles that mention say "former insider calls out telling sign of.." and the insider is Lev Parnas or Miles Taylor.

These CDC directors should have released this the second RFKs name even got floated as HHS head.  And then they should have continually bashed him.  Bill Cassidy (and every other Republican) should be raked over the coals every day by the medical community for his vote on confirming RFK.

But we just get fucking crickets.

Worth the read.

By William FoegeWilliam RoperDavid SatcherJeffrey KoplanRichard BesserTom FriedenAnne SchuchatRochelle P. Walensky and Mandy K. Cohen

The authors previously led in the C.D.C., either as directors or acting directors under Republican and Democratic administrations.

We have each had the honor and privilege of serving as director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, either in a permanent or acting capacity, dating back to 1977. Collectively, we spent more than 100 years working at the C.D.C., the world’s pre-eminent public health agency. We served under multiple Republican and Democratic administrations — every president from Jimmy Carter to Donald Trump — alongside thousands of dedicated staff members who shared our commitment to saving lives and improving health.

This. They are completely gutting the public health system and this is going to have downstream effects for decades.

Many of the actions of these fascists are undoing systems and administrations that took 60+ years to create. They were done by serious, smart people in good faith to advance not just Americans, but the human race in general.

These people are now torching that library of information and expertise and replacing it with crackpot conspiracy theorists and some of the dumbest and most selfish people in the country.

This is infuriating. My first job after graduation was working at the a state health department on a CDC grant. I would go to CDC conferences and have other interactions with people from the CDC frequently.  I never had a bad interaction. They were always very professional and knew their shit. The CDC epidemiologist in my office was the sharpest person I have ever known. Graduated med school at 20.  Worked with him closely on various types of health information we would publish.  Most could have made much more money in the private sector. Now, we will get few of them back, even though they probably really liked working for the CDC. Because if things ever return to normal, why would you leave a much higher paying job in the private sector to take your old CDC job back when there is a high risk of another MAGA type getting back into office and letting you go again or making your job hell.  Not to mention how many might end up working overseas where they will be appreciated for their knowledge rather than crucified for it by the dim and/or crazy.

So your dog is rabid or autistic?

Reminds me of the joke about the guy who's wife had either AIDS or Alzheimers.

PSA, for real.  Veterinary vaccines with aluminum adjuvants can cause injection site sarcomas, an aggressive sarcoma, in less than 10% of animals.  Try to get your vet to use non-aluminum adjuvant vaccines.

This is so utterly stupid.  As if shitfunnel could understand any of it, or the public.  And, the vaccine manufacturers already "show" them to the only people that should count, the FDA.

That's not to say the FDA is perfect or even good, but they're all we've got and light years more competent than anyone else we've got.

Is that like a Sarkoma?

Yeah it is.

Abe lost the lottery, but survived.  They had to cut about a 1/4 lb of meat off him.

Some restrictions seem to apply as of the above announcement.

Yeah. Aside from that, in states like New Mexico, the actual issue is that without the approval or whatever from that newly staffed committee in a few weeks, a LOT of insurers will have an excuse/out to not cover those shots.

I would presume that. $200-$300 price tag will greatly reduce participation.

Anyone remember the If Google Were A Guy skit, one of the earliest ones where the Guy had two piles of paperwork…”I’ve got one that says it does and four hundred thousand that says it doesn’t” and the woman says “Thank you” grabbing the single result.

Just like TikTok it’s all a symptom of tiny attention spans seeking the easy answer that puts the blame on someone else…right up the alley of stupid people who want a catchers mitt with eyes telling them vaccines, dyes, pasteurized milk and clean water are the cause of their woes.

So now our kids get to grow up surrounded by walking bags of Covid, flu, mumps, measles, rubella, etc…fucking kills me

The information is publicly available for anyone who wants it. Most of his followers and supporters don’t actually want it so they will happily listen when Dear Leader pretends there’s a coverup.

His post is completely full of shit, like always.

Presser odds
CDC - 3:2
He's the healthiest man alive - 5:1
World Financial began trading yesterday - 20:1
We're invading Venezuela - 50:1

He’ll probably touch on all of these in his opening paragraph.

Apparently Trump Is having a presser today to talk about the CDC.
@Anastasis will this be about 85% stuff or the 15%?

I am seeing DOD related. Maybe the DOD is going to occupy the CDC.

So it is- probably renaming it “Department of War” which wouldn’t rustle my jimmies as much as most things.

Would be a pretty accurate renaming tbh.

Remember when we were trying to cut waste from the federal budget?  Yep, let's spend money on a rename.

Don't forget how bigly he won the stollen 2020 election.  That's always on the agenda.  It's like the free space on a Bingo card, just fill it in.

It's an empty feeling that we're all recognizing that we were 100% right with RFK Jr in knowing he was lying in his Senate confirmation hearings. He completely wants to gut the American health system and replace it with homeopathic treatments. and other scientifically questionable practices.

There was really no one less qualified to run the HHS. We can argue that some other appointees are bad for America but at least some of them have a background in their area. RFK Jr. had/has zero.

I can't get over that this is the most powerful person on Earth. It's totally incoherent. It doesn't make one lick of sense. How does anyone ever read this crap and not immediately say, "you know what, we need to demand better from our leaders"?

You think?

What a tone deaf, waste of time.

If you rightfully belief that RFK is unqualified and a potential danger to public health then you will have a hard time convincing others if you don’t at least acknowledge how we got here.

“The C.D.C. is not perfect.”

That sentence does a ton of heavy lifting and is the only nod to anything in the piece.

I know it will be very difficult to convince some people, but even if you can’t, an actual breakdown of the imperfections and apology/explanation would help by giving cover to those who support these institutions to address it as well. I know people hate admitting mistakes nowadays but that’s key to course correcting imo.

Assuming it’s moving Space Force HQ to Alabama from Biden’s choice of Colorado.
