So does this performance in any way take a bit if the shine off the Texas win over Bama last week?

The hoi-polloi will say it does, but I think we're fine.

If not for stupid, obvious mistakes we blow Bama out and put up 50 points last week.  We dominated that game start to finish.

Meanwhile, Bama is sitting their only serviceable QB, dealing with playing on the road, with a lightning delay, sloppy conditions, etc.

Bama ain't as bad as they look right now, but they definitely aren't elite this year.  Their O-line is bad and they obviously have issues at QB.  Those two things are kinda important to college ball.

They're letting us beat them twice

Saban shouldn't have switched QBs. Milroe can be very good if he gets experience and learns. Look at how Ewers looked for a lot of last year and how he's looked now. QBs need experience to grow.

Alabama's defense is still really good and we were a dropped Worthy TD and a dropped Brooks TD from hanging 40+ on them.

Milroe is going to be a good QB for someone next season. This is stupid by bama.

Doubt it.  He'll probably stay at Bama if they give him the starting job back for the rest of the season.  Then he has a chance at being good next season, but really he looks like he needs more then just 1 year to really figure everything out.

If he doesn't get the starting job back next week/very soon, then yeah, he probably transfers, but there's no way he magically figures everything out by next year without playing and becomes a good qb for someone else.

He’s a guard. Not sure why anyone would think he’s a tackle.

It's the position he's playing so that's probably why

The refusal to go back to Milroe seems like a coaching staff unwilling to admit they were wrong.

That could be it...or there is more to the story. I've never known Saban to not want to win.
