See below. And the current team isn’t my team. The only ones talking about teams are you and the two posts below.

Yes.

What? I'm just stating a verifiable fact, it has nothing to do with apologia for the Iranian regime. It's just things that happened during the first Trump admin.

It's relevant.

This is probably a silly question, but would this cause issues with flights into Turkey?

If you are flying into Istanbul or Ankara, there shouldn’t be an issue.

There the bomb bomb bomb... bomb Iran thread.

That one is in the Cloak Room and was about the US possibly bombing Iran. Just change the title then to the "Israel's Catch-All Wars Thread" or something.

I just thought it'd be helpful for folks browsing the news content of the site not to miss news/discussion about this attack, thinking this thread was about Israel & Hamas. Your site; you can make the call.

You can take it to the bank that B-2 Spirits were involved if they took out the hardened underground nuclear facilities. Israel doesn’t have the weapons platforms to deliver those kind of bunker busters.

I wouldn't be so quick to downplay Israel's capabilities. I'm sure they probably have a lot of shit they don't publicly own up to....like nukes, for instance.

The world will know if they used nukes.

However, short of actually using those weapons, it’s a matter of logistics. The IAF does not possess the kind of aircraft that can heft the kind of bunker buster needed to penetrate those hardened underground targets.

Imma should change the FAFO emoji to ✡️

Iran provided Hamas with material and training support for Oct 7, per a WSJ article linked 19 months ago. Arguably, they set this whole thread off. They have been offered many exit ramps, wrt Houthi support and their nuke program, and they have passed on all of them.

FAFO, indeed.

Lol if you actually believe this has anything to do with Oct. 7 what the fuck

This has been part of the US/Israeli grand design for literally decades

It's also an extremely effective and timely distraction for both Bibi and Trump, who are losing more and more popularity every day.

The reports about lack of action and defensive response may be tied to they have nobody to give them orders and not sure how to proceed...

Didn't help that after their last President died in the heli crash, there was a large internal purge in the maneuvering to find his replacement (who is sounds like is now dead anyways)...

This led to a hollowing of that next level down and so we are now having even "newer" personnel in charge now that probably arent as nuanced in thier understanding on what options they have as a response..

Much like with the beepers, Israel cut the head off the snake, and the military response is suffering from the lack of leadership.

Also, while I'm not against open source intel in principle, that particular account is a very frequent spreader of misinformation and outright false propaganda and should not be considered reliable.

The 6 B-2’s that were parked at Diego Garcia for a while in May seem to have been moved out in the last few weeks.

Same could happen in Russia.  Putin has fired a lot of people/lot of people fell out of high-rise windows.

Not to mention the attrition rate of Russian military officers in Ukraine:

List of Russian generals killed during the Russian invasion of Ukraine - Wikipedia

KIU ✪ Russian Officers killed in Ukraine 🇨🇿🇺🇦 (@KilledInUkraine) / X

At least 6350 Russian officers have been eliminated in the Russian invasion of Ukraine since 24 February 2022. 1000 Captains. Weekly update: +116 newly registered. The higher increase is again due to archival records. Sources: public Russian obituaries and graves.

My wife surprises me with mind-blowing maneuvers. Like, spending unnecessary amounts of money and dropping her ass on the donger making me forget about that (the two are related). But I’m an idiot. How did the fucking Iranians get lulled to sleep?

Much of Iran's deterrent was the threat of Hezbollah launching swarms of rockets and missiles but they're not responding to their pagers

If that’s true…that’s fucking problematic. The president is the head of the Iranian government. That’s a national decapitation strike. You kill a country’s government leader, it ain’t just a one-off strike kinda thing.
Iran has no choice but to strike back hard. They may not be able to do so right away…but there are no restraints left.
This isn’t good.

How many of those weapons were sent to Russia in exchange for Russian resources or things to bypass Iran's own sanctions? How many ended up with the Houthis?
