For Elon Musk, the future is something to look forward to, not to fear. He is a creative man of many interests: film, poetry, karate, music, and dance. He is a man of passion and mystery. He is a man of lust.

Lulz. He is basically doing this.

He really has no close friends or relatives or a spouse to tell him when he’s out over his skis.  When most of us do stupid shit, we have plenty of people quickly pointing it out.

He may not even realize how alone he is. He probably mistakes adulation for friendship.

Even just a few million dollars in the bank, and I am sure as fuck out being around real people rather than engaging people on social media.

Yeah, I like the vast majority of folks here and follow some good artists on social media. However, if I was snow skiing in the Andes, riding a motorcycle in Australia, chartering a sail boat through the Greek Islands and generally tried to get laid as frequently as possible, I'd post a LOT less.

I love that he’s the world’s richest man, and is still willing to publicly show the Dunning–Kruger effect in action.

Wait.. I...

Is this insinuating (putting it nicely) that racial diversity hiring practices are somehow related to the damage/deaths caused by the fires?

Yeah.. that's it, and not the 100+ mph winds and long drought.

Musk biographer thinks Leon is "going mad."

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/us-news/elon-musk-going-mad-warns-34439131

Abramson thinks it wasn't Grimes that broke him but him getting booed off the stage at a Dave Chappelle show in San Francisco after buying Twitter in 2022.

Quote

Elon Musk's biographer has warned the billionaire is "going mad" and could "endanger us all" as concerns grow over his wellbeing.

The owner of X has been writing unhinged comments and reacting to posts on his platform, including criticising the UK government after it rejected a call for a public inquiry into the grooming scandal in the Oldham.

Musk has also targeted Keir Starmer, who he falsely claimed had failed to bring what many term “rape gangs” to justice when he was the director of public prosecutions between 2008 and 2013. The scandals, Musk said Friday, represent a “massive crime against humanity.”

He has also recently expressed his support for Tommy Robinson - real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon - the founder of the far-right English Defense League, who is serving an 18-month jail term for contempt of court.

And now Musk's biographer Seth Abramson believes the billionare maybe "going mad" as he manages Tesla, X, SpaceX while being part of Donald Trump's transition team.

"I legitimately believe Elon Musk may be going mad. I'm a Musk biographer who has been tracking his online behavior for the last two years—and given that he's admitted to all of mental illness, heavy drug use, and crippling stress, it is now reasonable to fear he is deeply unwell," he wrote on Tuesday.

The biographer believes Musk, not Trump, will attempt to run the US administration. Mr Abrahamson added: "His private struggles would not be of general concern except they have dramatic public consequences. His holdings across many civilization-essential industries and the fact that he's the incoming POTUS mean that his madness and increasing incitement of violence endanger us all."

It comes as reports last year suggested Musk suffered a mental breakdown after facing angry boos at Dave Chappelle's San Franciso show in December 2022. The comic brought him on stage just two months after Musk purchased Twitter for $44billion when he was filmed being booed by a large part of the 18,000 audience.

According to author Ben Mezrich, who covered Musk's acquisition of Twitter in his book "Breaking Twitter, the billionaire locked himself in his office following the incident.

“He got to a point where he locked himself in his office, was so upset that the Twitter employees were considering calling a wellness check by the San Francisco police because they thought he was going to self-harm himself,” Mezrich tikd CNBC. “I think he truly cares about his reputation, and he was shocked,” he added.

I’m sure everything will be fine. It’s not like he has any influence over our federal government.

Gonna re-issue a previous post I made on this thread. I wish Leon sourced his ketamine from the same place Matthew Perry did. Forreals.

Is this what he really thinks or is he just trying to get a rise out of the dotard?

I used the exact same word today to describe Trump, Elon, et al for making the LA fires a political football. Last night on x, I challenged Elon & Charlie Kirk to ask me anything so they could learn something. They declined, because they're pussies who aren't interested in how anything actually fucking works.

Pussy is the word that comes to my mind most often when doing what little thinking I do about these fucks. They’re just giant fucking pussies.

https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2025/01/x-ceo-signals-ad-boycott-is-over-external-data-paints-a-different-picture/

When X CEO Linda Yaccarino took the stage as a keynote speaker at CES 2025, she revealed that "90 percent of the advertisers" who boycotted X over brand safety concerns since Elon Musk's 2022 Twitter acquisition "are back on X."

Yaccarino did not go into any further detail to back up the data point, and X did not immediately respond to Ars' request to comment.

According to Sensor Tower, "69 out of the top 100 spending US advertisers" on Twitter/X in October 2022 had "ceased spending on the platform" as of December 2024. This could reflect a modest influx of advertisers who previously stopped spending, as the total is slightly lower than the September 2024 data showing 72 had ceased spending.

But Sensor Tower suggested that its data instead indicates that perhaps rather than wooing back advertisers, X "has cultivated a base of new advertisers." The firm found that "52 of the current top 100 spending US advertisers" on X in December 2024 were not advertising on pre-acquisition Twitter. For example, Temu—which launched just before Musk's acquisition in September 2022—was X's top advertiser in 2024, Sensor Tower found, "accounting for 3 percent of total US ad spend on the network."
